Ah, yes Mr. President I thought maybe you could enlighten me on how the heck this made it to the front page?
B/C it’s somewhat witty…… And somewhat pokes fun at OBama without getting into race or how much of a crappy President some people think he is, or how he’s the MEssiah or etc….
Yeah but the thing about it is there’s an EWAsshat LOL that I saw get a bright red (negative) 15 in voting that’s on the upcoming page and sometime soon we’ll be subjected to that torture. I’ll admit this is a cleverly disguised poke at the president all around but I’ve seen countless funnier more deserving ones during voting that never see the light of day. :-/

OKay, I’ve seen so much discussion about this that I actually asked. This is what they said:
“Here is how pics get to the front page:
Once you create a lol, it goes straight to our voting widget (the vote section of our site) and there, users will be able to vote on your lol. It’s only shown a certain number of times, so that means you may not see your own lol on the voting page. And once your lol has reached that certain number, it’s moved out of the voting system. If your lol has high votes and ratings, it will be then moved to the main site.”
It sounds to me as if not many people get a chance to vote on any given lol, which probably skews the process. Assuming this is correct, the only way one with negative numbers would get to the front page would be if they were all being voted down, right? But maybe someone who pays more attention to the upcoming pages understands this answer better than I.
Now that I know the trick behind the magic, it’s no longer amazing.

Yeah, the student is back. But I’ve emailed the full info to her thesis instructor, and told him I will do whatever he wishes in her case, as I did with another ‘trying to go round the back’ student. It is rather like coparenting 5-year-olds!

OMG we have this weird vice principle and one time in the lunchroom she said “Young man in the shirt!” and everyone burst out laughing.
Yeah, one of my daughters pointed out once that the high school dress code where she went (white shirts for everyone — I think the school board owns stock in Clorox) led to the issue of vice-principals, etc., seeing a kid down the crowded hallway doing something inappropriate and being reduced to yelling “You! Kid! In the white shirt! Oh….”
I have weird vice principles too, mine usually involve a pool cue, mayonnaise and this guy Dave.
