Considering that An Inconvenient Truth had photoshopped pictures and things taken directly from screenshots of movies in place of actual science, I’d say that it and DAT are on basically the same level scientifically.

if you actually watch South Park you’d see they make very valid political and cultural statements that are both highly relevant and push the boundaries and question what is considered acceptable in our modern day life. in short, it forces us to question the morality and justice of ourselves and those around us. it’s actually quite deep.

I’d go as far as to say that South Park (also Family Guy, American Dad and King of the Hill) make statements that are true and inciteful but they only get away with making because people think “it’s only a cartoon”.

probably the same (or similar) reason why john stewart can push so hard in his interviews, people come on with the notion it’s just a comedy show but he’s had some fantastic interviews on that show in the past.

This pic reminds me of a guy who lives in a village near me. A couple of years ago he spent thousands on a two week vacation in tornado alley going storm chasing. Didn’t see one. While he was in the US a tornado touched down in his village and damaged a number of properties, including his.
His story made the local papers.
Interesting fact. You are more likely to see a tornado in the UK than the US. We have more of them, but they are smaller.
Plus we have a higher population density.
