Had a GREAT vacation… actually FINALLY got to Woodstock and toured the farm and museum… God how I wish I’d have been born about 18 years sooner!!!

I know people that were at Woodstock. The music was good, the weather not so much. But they swear up and down they had a great time. I’ve seen the movie and frankly, I did enough wallowing in the mud to last a life time. It’s just a shame there weren’t any boobies.

When my son got bitten by a dog, the doc tried to put an anaesthetic into his cheek. Instead, he poked the needle -through- the skin instead of -into- the skin. It’s the first time I’ve actually felt faint. I’m not surprised that my son is scared to death of needles now.

No idea; I only use XP voluntarily for email and web stuff; I normally use proper operating systems, with things like virtual machine environments that actually work.

I run Vista with the power-suckers and useless files uninstalled…
My problem is when it screws up, like if my mouse disconnects or my internet pops into local only wireless, then it doesn’t attempt to reconnect either, and I have to restart Vista. Grrr….
I’m using Win7 now and it is everything Vista isn’t (or should have been!)

When they gave shots in the Danish military, way back in ‘39, they did my father first…then had him stand there to catch all of the guys who were going to pass out. Some things never change.

Oh god, I had an MRI about a year ago and I’m extremely claustrophobic.
1.) It was supposed to be an open MRI and it wasn’t.
2.) They were supposed to provide me with music of some sort and a wet washcloth for my face and they didn’t.
3.) It took TWO FREAKING HOURS!
I thought I was gonna die. Apparently it took so long because I was breathing to fast and, therefore, moving too much to get a good image.

reminds me of when i got those guardisin (sp?) shot to prevent HPV stuff. they hurt like a mother, and the nurse knew this, she told my mother this behind a closed door, I was 17 and was told it wouldn’t hurt at all…seriously why the fcuk would you lie about that. there was no reason for it >.<

Lol, your doctor sounds a lot like the one I had as a kid. He’d always tell me, “Now, I’m not gonna lie, this shot is gonna hurt something awful, but you’re a brave girl and I think you can take it. If you can’t though, feel free to punch me right on the arm.”
I was 9 the last time I saw him and I remember decking him as hard as my little 9 year old fist could muster. It really couldn’t have been that hard…
I had Mono for a whole summer and part of the fall and received shots and blood work at least twice a week. Needles are nothing to me.
