“I think I can, I think I can, I think I – oh, crap. . .”
He needed more training.
we should expect more accidents if they start training
My girlfriend can do that
Well, right about now, anyone waiting for that train will need bussing!
Childrens books are teaching bad things..
must be a first born son – overconfident little bastards!
And you totally did. I don’t know what you were TRYING to do, but you sure as Hell did something.
I think I might use that line the next time one of my coworkers says “I was trying.”
Nothing stays on track these days….
Not with Obama and Biden driving. The whole American way of life is going to be a train wreck when this administration is finished with us.
Amen!!
Note for Conservatrolls – the train jumped the tracks on your guy’s watch.
The only reason this country is going off the rails is because Bush and Co. ignored all the stop signals. “Stay the course”, right?
Nobody knew that Thomas had become suicidal.
His earlier depression seemed to have been resolved, though nobody realized that the sudden optimism was just a temporary high.
Apparently Thomas had become very cross after Gordon told him he was a useless piece of shit. And Emily said she was leaving him for Percy and was having Percy’s baby. Plus, the death of George Carlin was very very hard on Thomas.
(Anyone with kids who has ever had to watch Thomas & Friends hopefully will find humor in this.)
….and nobody ever understood Thomas’ hope of changing careers and being a construction crane.
I did!! My baby brother was ADICTED
Hi! Today some bad things happened. One bad thing was, some trains got crashed in New Jersey. People won’t be late for work though, cause the Governor lady said “I’m sending in more trains!”
New Jersey? That’s just an accident waiting to happen! On the more serious side — does anyone know what rail line this was? If it’s CSXT, then it’s a wonder it was only that bad.
Where I live, CSXT has a derailment about 3 to 4 times a week — all the money that should be spent on track maintenance goes into the pockets of the executives. Then they have the chutzpah to ask Congress to pass a law making AMTRAK liable for all damages on their lines, EVEN IF IT’S CSXT’S FAULT!.
Everyone — write your Congressman and Senators to overturn this law; let’s not let the murderers get away with it!
[aw crap! hurt my knees getting down off the soapbox]
CSXT has always had the worst track. They dont give a shit about Amtrak. This particular wreck happened when a idiot drove his truck infront of the train. Wht is it that when a freight derails, no one cares, but when Amtrak does, its national attention?
Okay, ANOTHER Futurama reference… That is two PKs in a row, there. Different people, though.
*squints*
Is that Amy Winehouse driving?
-
Okay, bad joke.
Not that bad, Capt… I chuckled and almost spit some diet coke on the screen..
>>> “Is that Amy Winehouse driving?”
Around here? No, a better speculation would be Sarah Palin.
Yeah but the whole Sarah Palin is an idiot thing is tired to me. Now Amy Winehouse is a train wreck never gets old. Especially when new pictures of her looking more like a flesh/brain eating zombie show up every day.
[holds up binoculers]
No, that was Ozzy Osbourne.
this railway company should invest in better tracks and tech stuff… googling things like “Gleisbau” , “Stellwerke” , “Waggon” would have helped preventing this (yes, i know too much about railways tech, especially in Germany…
(*goes on with checking rail screws…*)
Conjuction junction what’s your function?
Awwww, The Little Engine that Failed.
Win!
XD, that would have been a good thing to put there too XD
I think he zigged when he should have zagged.
Probably would have been better off going straight.
Not if the tracks aren’t…
Dennis Miller:
“I don’t even like riding on trains. We’ve all seen the movies where you’re riding alng and someone reaches up and pulls on that cord. I don’t want to be on any form of transportation where the public has access to the fu(king brakes, okay? I’d hate to hear that I die in some horrific train accident because while we were rolling along at a hundred-miles-per-hour, Gus thought he saw a woodchuck.”
Ah, for the good old days, when Dennis Miller was sort of funny.
The old saying goes: Never trust a young poor person who isn’t a Liberal and never trust an old rich person who isn’t conservative.
Seems about right in his case.
Is he old and rich, yet?
Bill Maher is old and rich and HE didn’t turn to the dark side.
*sheds a tear for Dennis Miller’s humor* Yeah, I used to like him when he was on HBO, ages ago when I actually had HBO.
Now, I don’t want to get off on a rant, here…
Wait…Dennis Miller was funny? I guess I’ve never seen him as anything other than a pompous braying jackass.
Logic and humour fail. Just why should applying the service brakes on a rail guided vehicle be any more destabilising because a passenger does it than because the driver does it? In any event, the “communications chord” used to be exactly that; a way of communicating to the conductor that his services were urgently required in a specific train car.
What happend is that it hit a dump truck. Now we know why we shouldn’t give licesces to illegil imagrints
track fail
