Nah, for two reasons. 1. We’re a little hard on ol’ Joe. He’s not as dumb as we joke. 2. If he IS that dumb, that’s extra incentive to NOT assassinate Obama. Just like when Bush Sr. was in office, the thought of the VP taking over was just alarming.

On a completely unrelated note, if Obama comes to throw out the first pitch at the all-star game in your city, be prepared to have every fvcking major highway in town shut down making sure you have to completely reroute wherever the hell you’re going. I like the guy, but he doesn’t have to visit here again for a while.
It was the same way with several visits of G W Bush in Charlotte NC. And since there are only so many way to get from the airport to uptown, they shut them ALL down for security reasons. Traffic was a real pain EVERY time.
They probably wouldn’t do it if he visited now. Bill Clinton came to my old high school, and I went to visit him, and security was surprisingly loose. Not completely nonexistent, but still pretty loose for a president.

During his inauguration here in DC, the Big businesses said don’t come to work. They also shut down 12 miles of highway going into the city (ALL of 395). So the side roads to get around within the Beltway were jammed all day. Just for one man. I don’t get it.
His come to my area a couple times. Once when he came to a local high school to talk about the economy (our city had one of the highest unemployment in the country) and most recently when he spoke at Notre Dame. But I avoid Notre Dame like the plague anyway and both times I was at home with no where to go so it didn’t bother me.

I find it entertaining (any President or Politician who inconveniences me) that we pay these people to inconvenience us.
