AGH it is fake though…. The original is link’d. Someone photoshopped the middle finger in.
Wish it hadn’t been altered. The caption with the original pic works just as well, if not better because it would have been purely genuine. We all know she may as well be flipping him the bird.
I had kind of wondered, since ‘the bird’ is a Euro-US gesture. They use something different in the Middle East.

Yeah, if you blow the picture up considerably, you can see a square area of pixelation around the hand and extended finger. The brightness of the altered hand, reattached to the arm shows a definite line vertically on the hand with different brightness levels on both sides. The pixelation on the rest of the photo seems to be random.

That’s the point, though- most men aren’t particularly brave or courageous, and the balls are very… sensitive. Therefore, one who isn’t afraid and acts bravely/with guts, must have balls of steel instead of flesh and… flesh, because they can stand up to forces like the one pictured above. Same with ovaries- If you kick a girl *really* hard between the legs, it’s just as bad as being kicked in the balls. Or so my female friends tell me. Anyway, the expression probably exists because guys think “Wow, that guy is brave and gutsy- therefore even his weak points must be hardened, that’s why he’s not afraid of whoever-may-respond to his gutsy actions exploiting him.” And for us, we think weak points to hit, we think the nuts.

Who cares what the picture looked like originally. There was a whole country giving that shithead the finger, and the fact that they died doing it only adds weight and courage to their actions. One of the most amazing things I have seen in this century so far.
