The German Shepherd Dog (GSD, also known as an Alsatian), (German: Deutscher Schäferhund) is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany.[2] German Shepherds are a relatively new breed of dog, whose origins date to 1899. As part of the Herding group, the German Shepherd is a working dog developed originally for herding sheep. Because of their strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training they are often employed in police and military roles, in forces around the world.[3] Due to their loyal and protective nature the German Shepherd is one of the most registered of breeds.
I saw a German Shepherd at the pet store that was all white and had this adorable ear that would always turn in towards the other one. He was soooooooo cute but I already have a dog and I refuse to buy from pet stores because it supports puppy mills. *has a sad*

Rescues are always best. We have two now that we added to the clan. They were both supposed to be fosters but….well, you know how things go.
That being said and agreed with in principle, the greatest dog who ever lived came from a pet store. RIP The Mighty Quinn, Husky supreme. Lordy, how I do miss my boy.
I’ve always liked Huskies but never had one myself.
p.s stop hating on putin and ahmadinejad, it just that the US cannot stand other world leaders gaining so much power, especially military power.

just because you see on your filtered news thousands of people protesting it doesnt represent the ENTIRE iranian population. there is over 70 million people in iran, with over 46 million people eligible to vote. 40 million of those did so, so don’t give me this fraud rubbish just because there are thousands of people protesting. sure its a large amount, but a small percentage in comparison to the voting population. also lets look at mousavi ‘the reformist’. he was PM from ‘81 to ‘89 and put in place many of the government institutions and policies present today. he also said he will not back down on building a nuclear iran. if anyone’s committed fraud, it’s him. but i guess thats politics. lastly, i just want to make clear that it was a known fact ahmadinejad’s bulk of supporters were the working class and those in more rural areas. tehran is their capital/main city, and it was also a known fact that this was mousavi’s stronghold, that said the election isn’t based on the results or tally of one city, its of the whole country, so consider this when you see mass protests in iran.

I did, and so far haven’t found anything refuting his (correct) assertion that the vast majority of Iranian voters live outside the major cities and largely support Ahmadinejad.

My point was that, regardless of the correctness of the election count, if Al-Jazeera are reporting the same stories as the Western media, then we can be pretty sure that this (riots etc) is what’s actually happening on the ground.

It’s funny — I heard a piece on NPR a few years back (yes, I listen to NPR, try not to faint) saying that young Russians had grossly incorrect views of Stalin, things like underestimating his death toll, thinking he contributed to the Soviet Union’s defense in WWII, and generally that he was an effective, if tyrannical, leader.
