Death to America! Shut up Ahmed, we’re watching Colbert on Hulu

lol.
Nice
Only problem is you can’t watch Hulu outside the US
Yeah, right. Because no one ever uses a proxy, or Tor, to make it look like they are coming from a country they aren’t actually in. N00bs.
Tee-hee. Proxies are for funs.
Oh! Being a N00b myself, I don’t know how proxies work. But if proxies mean I can watch Hulu or listen to Pandora, then I must hasten to un-N00b. Any help will be welcome plzkthx
BTW proxies or no, I can watch Colbert on his show’s website. Don’t need Hulu for that.
Link won’t work, Moe, but basically look up proxy server on wiki, you’ll find the answer- it’s a site/application/server that will feed your internet through a different server to change your IP or, in Hulu’s case, make you look like you’re in the US due to your IP address. I know assholes that hack Ventrilo servers for their passwords, go on the servers while people are having conversations, and spam loud crap. They can’t be banned, either, because they can change their IP address at will.
Just a downside, I guess.
Tyler, thanks for the suggestion
DAMN RIGHT. HUGE FAIL
Proxy server, man.
But you can only watch shows using Hulu in the US. Not any other country
suspend your disbelief for half a second…
at least it’s a funny lol on pk… we can’t ask for two miracles in the same day…
Hulu?! Come on, you can watch Colbert on his own friggin’ web site. Works just fine in Europe, dunno about Iraq.
Not in Canada you can’t.
Canada sucks.
As a Canadian, in this case I agree with you. God-dammed CRTC.
That’s not true, I’m from Italy and I can see Hulu. Not sure how to explain that but is something to do with a fake and temporary american IP adress.
Just to clear things up.
Also, Colbert isn’t on Hulu, last I checked. Comedy Central has its own full-episode delivery system.
Also, never mind. I just double-checked and he is. Dur.
Is Achmed/Ahmed kinda like the new Middle-Eastern version of the way we use Jose?
New?
this is bullshit
wtf is with everyone talking shit about Muslims -___-
Calm down, no one is talking bad about Muslims, its a joke. If they are talking bad about anything, they are talking bad about terrorists. Not everyone is out to get you.
wrong “its”
Damn you English language!
It is so hard ….
“Calm down, no one is talking bad about Muslims, its a joke. If they are talking bad about anything, they are talking bad about terrorists. Not everyone is out to get you.”
The problem with that statement is the bubbles are coming out of a Mosque.
(Unless I’m mistaken, that is)
I don’t know whether you’re mistaken or not, but not every building with pointed arches is a mosque. Tombs, palaces, and ordinary buildings can have them.
This is true, I wasn’t suggesting it could be a mosque simply from the architecture stylings, but from the fact this particular picture is familiar.
It is indeed, a photo of a Mosque, in Iran. Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque to be precise.
A point of reference: http://www.happy-art.ch/happy-art/Iran-1.html
3rd picture down!
Beautiful building.
Too many kabooms.
you know, i don’t mind jokes about Muslims, but really, get creative.
or are they letting 12yo’s create LOLz nowdays?
they use torrent i guess, well iam certain the watch after loading it form torrents.
Yes, the only the way people from Islamic nations are allowed to be displayed as funny is if their entire conversation revolves, somehow, around the US. Because we all know everyone loves to talk about the US.
I know right? I mean what are these Americans thinking commenting on relevant things in the US on a website run by, maintained and largely populated by Americans… Jeez…
The internet is not only for the usa, tard.
I dont think I ever really said anything about that… I was merely stating that on a site largely populated by Americans, someone is surprised that most of the issues of the lols are tied into American pop culture. I not once stated that the internet was only for the usa…… tard.
And I was saying that since everyone has access to the internet, there is no such thing as “american pop culture”, making the caption totally worthless and your reply to Bubette as well, and, since the site is certainly not mainly populated by “americans” we all now know how aware you are of your surroundings: how many times this has been said, but you still think the world revolves around you. No offense to the intelligent people of the USA partially populating this site.
I’m shocked I have to explain a one liner that was meant to imply all of this. Waste of effing time.
Well I hope you’ve learned something: L2english
While I’m at it, “America” is a continent. Least put an apostrophe before “American” if you’re gonna imply it’s an abbreviation.
Totally worthless caption: 1. Colbert isn’t on Hulu, 2. Hulu is likely unavailable in the Middle-East, 3. Colbert’s patriotism is sarcastic, therefore this caption comes along as if it was an inner thought by one of the guys and not even close to irony.
This is actually Failblog worthy.
Uh…
1. Colbert IS on Hulu (see above).
2. Hulu isn’t technically available where I am, but I can fake it with a proxy server. Mm, gooey goo.
3. Stephen Colbert is actually quite patriotic; being able to look with one’s own eyes and think with one’s own brain and see the faults as well as the strength’s of one’s country doesn’t make one any less devoted to that country.
Just sayin’.
Well my bad for 1, but for 3 I’m talking in-context (show content vs. this pic).
1. Proxies don’t always work
2. Some proxies slow things down horribly
3. The fact remains that it was a poor statement – Hulu (and many others, like NBC.com) is a site designed for American access only. Youtube might have been better.
If they can get Hulu, I’m really pissed!
There is no Hulu outside the US. But there is the Colbert Report site. And BitTorrent.
Oh, and if you haven’t noticed that Colbert is actually at the same side as Jon Steward, then I’m sorry for you.
Yeah, Colbert is not actually the actor’s name- one of my teachers knows one of his writers. He’s an actor who specializes in long-term character playing.
And anyone that misses that much satire is…
Let’s just go with hopeless.
Igor,
His real name is Stephen Colbert. However, he plays a character based on Bill O’Reilly.
You’re right. Just looked it up now, sorry
I really should validate what my teachers say, or at least not misunderstand them. /sigh..
And while Colbert is funny, O’Reilly is just depressing.
That depends on where you’re standing, darling.
I’m referring to the guests bit, Froo.. Linky.
Oh, and I HATE the “CUT HIS MIC!” bits.

I’ll link the other ones if I see the other stuff that’s being tough to find right now…
