    um…wtf?

  2. toastbusterz says:

Aquaman: The worst super hero EVER.

  3. I see Obama refused to shake the man’s hand, and it’s NOT just because he flubbed the lines. I’m hoping Barack’s apparent OCD condition, and not wanting to shake peoples’ hands doesn’t trigger a world catastrophe. Shaking hands is probably the most important thing a political leader does. Suppose this condition offends the wrong world leader….A simple misunderstanding could lead to Nuclear disaster!

  4. Mr.Wholesome says:

Aquaman is funny every damned time.

heather, the creator of the lol we see here, is on a roll. She’s had a bunch of front pagers and the Captain here can’t get past upcoming. I has a sad.
*whines until she sees nobody cares*

  6. snort says:

If a republican had done the same as Obama, no one would even THINK the justice had anything to do with messing it up, the media would jump all over it and no one would let it die- there would be TONS of lolz and upheaval in the media about it. Obama is the one who flubbed the oath (jumping in on someone who has his lines memorized is a PERFECT way to ‘F’ up the whole thing).

BTW…Flubbed oath and Aquaman… I don’t understand why both of these things would be in the same lol…

    • Captain Obvious says:

      Only “superhero” with green gloves.

    • Jane St.Clair says:

“the media would jump all over it and no one would let it die”
OMG, like, I totally didn’t know the oath of office was messed up! Why didn’t anyone ever say anything?! Like, do you think he’s even president? Wow, you, like, totally think someone would have said something about this!

      • ACSIS says:

Now that the secret is out, I vote that he takes the oath a second time, but without the book of mythology under his hand. That should keep them busy talking for a while…

        • snort says:

now it would be the third time. (he took it a second time in front of a small group of press)

          • ACSIS says:

Yes he did already take it a second time (without the book of myths underhand). That would be the sarcasm that went along with the sarcasm in teh first post by Jane.

      • snort says:

(sarcasm is noted) You do have to admit, it is only february and it has already died down to just being out of date ICHC postings- the rest of the media blamed the chief justice and tried to forget it as quickly as possible… (sort of like trying to NOT think of a white elephant)

        • Jane St.Clair says:

So….. you’re saying that a simple tripping over words should be talked about for LONGER than a month? You WANT the media to be frivolous and talk about month old events that have no actual effect on the American people just because you think but can’t prove (since it hasn’t happened to anyone else) that a republican would get worse treatment?

          • snort says:

I am just saying that the press should treat every flub and flaw of the president with equal venom. Seriously you don’t think they press is preening like crazy over Obama?

            • Jane St.Clair says:

The press that you think is fawning gave a ridiculous amount of airtime to that guy who went of on a rant about how horrible it was that Obama didn’t wear a suit coat in the Oval Office. That’s not news that’s sour grapes and they got at least a week’s worth of coverage out of it. And there is no way you can assert that they would have been harder on a republican president who did the same because it is a non-event. That’s like when my brother asserts that I’m my dad’s favorite and if he had caught me stealing his beers he would have let me off easy. Which sounds nice to him and gives him something to whine about, but reality is I never stole my dad’s beers in high school so he has no way of proving that statement. Also, as far as blaming Roberts over Obama, Roberts did say the words in the wrong order, and who cares if he did, they fixed it and got through it.

              • Jane St.Clair says:

*off not of in the second paragraph*

                • Jane St.Clair says:

*sigh* Sentence, not paragraph. Jesus, my cold meds are making my fuzzy minded.

                  • froofrou says:

Well, considering that we’re still giving Clinton hell about Lewinski, and Bush hell about ‘misunderestimate’, I think a little venom for the Obamas isn’t exactly unwarranted :-)

                    • Uncle Fester says:

                      You’re just bitter you lost
IF you’d fielded someone younger than me, or with an IQ greater than my shoe size, you’d have done better…

                    • Jane St.Clair says:

Froo, I’ll be the first liberal to go ahead and say that screwing around with your intern is a little more newsworthy than two people (and I’ll place the “blame” on both if it makes everyone feel better) stumbling over their words. Also, misunderestimate by itself would only have gotten a couple days coverage if it weren’t for the fact that Bush had so many verbal fumbles the term “Bushism” became a household phrase by the end of his presidency.

                      • froofrou says:

Oh, I’m with you there. I’m just waiting for the bile to start running about the fact that Obama can’t seem to find a non-crooked politician to put in his cabinet (is that even possible???????) and other missteps that are inevitable for a person in his position. Teasing! We need more teasing!!!!

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

I thought that he’d already got a lot of bile over his cabinet picks. My take on that is that it’s not like these candidates were like, “yeah Mr. President, I’m totally corrupt and under investigation, but I’d really like the job” and Obama went ahead and nominated them. Some of his nominees “problem” were already resolved which is why they were approved. The ones that didn’t had no business accepting the posts offered to them.

                • rhorho says:

Yes, and both “of’s” were correct in the second sentence. ;-)

                  • Jane St.Clair says:

I was trying to say “off on a rant” but in my hurry and cold medicine fogged brain I typed “of on a rant” instead.

              • Uncle Fester says:

Snort is a cretin. He can’t help it…

                • snort says:

hahahaaahaa… I don’t like Bush or McCain any better than Obama.
Anyone who wants to be a politician should be automatically disqualified from running.
I am just looking for fair and equal treatment of all the parties by the media.

                • Jane St.Clair says:

Well…. in retrospect my sarcasm was a little harsh and Snort could have responded to me with a personal attack, which he didn’t, so I’ll give him props for that. I know you wouldn’t, but that’s why we love you, you piss and vinegar old man! And by old I mean older than me. ;)

  7. alleee says:

I wish the president were swearing an oath on a copy of the Velveteen Rabbut or something.

  8. lowly grunt says:

Well, obviously, I am half a bubble off because I laughed out loud at this.

    Oh, well.
