Tyler, have you tried using the spotlight to find files? There is an icon of a magnifying glass on the top right hand corner of the mac. It will search anything. It’s faster than MS “find,” and works better, believe me.

Steve, the thing is that I go to school 6 hours a day and work on a restricted Mac, the thing that makes me angry is that when you don’t have someone who sets it up with the RIGHT stuff, and is a good computer programmer, then you get a shitty mac. FFS, my mac doesn’t even have photoshop on it in school. Nor can it be installed, because installation is blocked on school Macs.
Grawr.
Oh, and I find that Mac can be a little harder to dig through in general than Windows. For files, etc, I mean. I’ve used the unrestricted versions of the Macs, too, but I still prefer Windows and Linux. Vista is crap, but it runs decently once you take some of the unnecessary crap out.
Oh, and also Macs make me angry cause I can’t play/design addons for my games really.

I have made no admissions of the sort. At least you admit your submitting under more than one name and flooding the voting.
I’m glad you think you know who I am, but I’d bet a lot of money that you don’t, especially since I tend to lurk instead of post. This has really been getting my ire up, because there are some really good lol’s that are getting put on the back burner in favor of your ‘meh’ ones that are the only ones to vote on. You have admitted that you ‘know the best time to submit’, which means your playing the system.
And if your threatening to give my email to the moderators, you might want to rethink that, as yours can be done the same way. I’d think long and hard, since you have about 15 different socks that can be reported.

Considering that the last time I voted, over half of the lol’s were hers, yes, it is possible to flood the voting.
I gave up voting after the second time that happened. It just isn’t worth it.
Also, it’s not a stretch to go from heatherjlc to hcochran1234, especially when you read back over your postings in the not so recent past and put them in context. You can have more than one account here, whaddya know.

As a matter of fact, I do have a family. They have lives during the day, and while I’ve been down they’ve been extremely supportive and loving, helping me with the chores while I rested, wrote, and had a little fun. I am truly lucky.

A creative binge is only creative if you have something to say. Cranking out ‘Hannah Montana’-esque lol’s that appeal to the lowest common denominator isn’t creative. Of course, when it’s forced upon you by being put out there in such quantities as to be the only thing that people can vote on, then I guess we’re stuck with your ‘meh’ lol’s until you finally find something else to do.

Not a conservative here, but thanks for trying. I just see one person who is apparently so starved for attention that she must flood the voting with her own stuff so that she can validate her existence, or so bored that she’s got nothing better to do except to edge out the ‘competition’ by producing so many lol’s that finally she feels loved. Admins choose what goes on the front page; voting ultimately has very little to do with it, as you and everyone else here is well aware. The top voted LOLs don’t necessarily make it to the front. I’ve been maintaining Macs since 1990 and I’ve had to replace an internal component exactly once – a bad power supply on a G4 server. I had to buy the part on eBay since it would’ve cost like $500 retail – I think they’ve gotten away from the ultracustom components now though. I think it’s true, to get a Winbox with the same quality as a Mac you’d have to spend really nearly the same, and then you’d still have an OS that’s vulnerable as all Hell to viruses, hijackware, and user ineptitude. Unless of course you just put Ubuntu on it.

I’m running a Vista that’s had all the useless bullcrap removed so the computer can actually y’know, run? It’s pretty good actually. Once in a while IE goes into a tailspin and has to be restarted but other than that it’s useable. It runs in about 1/10th the disk space and 1/5th the RAM as the full version. It’s like that fan-edited version of “The Phantom Menace” where all they did was go through and cut out Jar Jar Binks, and suddenly it wasn’t a piece of crap anymore.
