    Blue smoke?

    • Literal says:

      No joke!

      • Cincinatus says:

Yawn. Hatred trumping humor always makes for a dull LOL.

        • Literal says:

          What?

          • notreally says:

There are other conservatives that post here you know.

            • Uncle Fester says:

              Yes but you’re atlas…

              • notreally says:

There are other socks beside your dear old atlas…

              • minerva146 says:

Oooh, has there been a sock outbreak?

                • AC says:

Yep, your old friend Bob had over 30 and turned out to be just about every troll around. (including a female a female and an Uncle Fester stalker) Kind of lost his faces when the avatars came in tho…

                  • minerva146 says:

I was wondering when we’d get the avatars. That must’ve cut his personalities down quite a bit.

                    • rhorho says:

Some more popped up. The avatars keep him from
                      stealing our identities, though.

                      • minerva146 says:

now I have to figure out how to make a personal one.

                        • I need to fiddle with mine when I get home tonight or failing that bang my head on a wall. Though I will do it softly since Lynn has a migraine this evening.

                        • rhorho says:

It’s not hard at all. Just go to gravatar.com,
and get stepped through. It’s a good idea to
use an email address that isn’t similar to
your handle. It takes 5 minutes or so.

As long as your email on gravatar and your
email on PK are the same, your new avatar
will pop up. If it doesn’t pop up right away,
just clean out your cache. The first time you
post after adding your gravatar, the 3 fields
above the comment field will be different.
When that happens, just click on the blue
words, and everything will be back to normal.

                        • lowly grunt says:

                          Cool!
                          Thanks rho!
                          *off to do so*

                    • I could see the splintering of his psyche… Or maybe that was just me having hunger pangs. Oh well…

            • anniemcphee says:

Hard leftists tend to think that there’s only one conservative in the world, and they’re all each other’s sock puppets. It’s unthinkable to them that half the country is conservative and that not everyone thinks like they do.

You would think a site like this would have some balance, though.

              • Uncle Fester says:

Actually, you got fooled by a “rightist” who had over 25 sock
puppets and regularly pretended to be existing users to simply
cause trouble and grief. I think I’d keep my opinions down to
a dull roar on ’socks’ since you’re clearly talking without a
book… which is usual, bur this one is making you look more of
                a fool than normal…

              • Mijan says:

If half the country was conservative, McCain would have had a chance. Were you paying attention last November? Or, like other conservatives, are you trying to comfort yourself via selective memory?

MODERATES, like myself, are sick of the hypocritical bullshit of the Republican party, and are tired of the Religious Right playing the party like a massive puppet. Some of us still believe in the Constitution and the principle of separation of church and state. Additionally, the last Republican president they elected was the most fiscally irresponsible president ever, and was more liberal in his spending habits than any Democrat I can remember. The last reason for me to vote for a Republican was fiscal responsibility, and they’ve lost that, too.

Do we think you’re all sock puppets? No, you’re a mass collective of individuals, joined via hive-mind by Rush Limbaugh. That’s all.

Oh, and the icanhascheezburger family of websites is most often frequented by one demographic: GEEKS. And geeks tend to be left-of-center. Sorry.

                • Viking says:

I disagree with your statement, but will die to defend your right to say so. And I guess I am an exception to the “geeks tend to be left-of-center” rule…. I’m more “middle-of-center” personally… >.>

                • BattleCry says:

Actually, most SCI FI geeks tend to be right of center…..they like boobs and lasers

                • Tessie says:

“If half the country was conservative, McCain would have had a chance.”
                  `
If he’d had a running mate with an IQ higher than library paste, he would have had a better chance, but it’s probably all for the best.

                • Danbala says:

“And geeks tend to be left-of-center.”
                  Left of which centre?

                • FtEustisHousingMaintenance says:

WHAT! No….can’t be! Yep, no geek here. I’m a GAMER! At least still sometimes……. Somewhere along the way I grew up and got a good job, wife, and everything. ….. I wasn’t happy with Bush but I think Obama is going to put him in a good light before he’s done. Let’s see so far, 4 wweks and more money spent than 5 years in Iraq, yep, change is in the air.

              • curia says:

                Annie,

While it may be true that half of the country is conservative, please, pick a country. What country are you talking about? USA? This site is international. I don’t know what percentage of the world is “conservative.”

              • Adam says:

Half the country is NOT conservative, half the country is to the right of center. I can tell you’re one of the former, due to the polar nature of your comment.

All this post shows is that a Rush fanboy site probably sent their minions en masse to give this post a bad rating, nothing more.

              • MsMsBurning says:

                Pot calling the kettle black.

    • n says:

      Wait, thats NOT alton brown?

  2. Albright says:

And now we’ll have incessant partisan bitching and whining from Republicans.

  3. pittypat says:

According to assholpostolic creed, Rush’s descent into Limbaugh was as a
Saviour, proclaiming the Good News to the spirits imprisoned there.

  4. Macahi says:

There’s no such myth, so this is a piece of shite

  5. slaggingham says:

    hasn’t this been done before?

  6. Macahi says:

No myth says that so this is just stupid

  7. us says:

This is funny because we hate conservatives.

  8. sinfonie says:

GAWD. What’s with that TIE? Did Walt Disney puke on it????

  9. Natness says:

Is this an old picture? I thought he was a lot fatter than this…

Maybe it’s just shot from a good angle. Either way, Douchebag!

  10. Byron says:

    lol silly twats
    can’t make a coherent joke

  11. Bob Pickett says:

I actually have that tie. Rush has been on the air for 20 years because he voices the opinions of 20 million people a week. Love him or hate him, he’s gonna be around for a long time.

    Viva Rush!

  12. lollereinz says:

i could have told u that a-holes can blow smoke, mine does it all the time

  13. ubr says:

this would’ve been a lot better if they could have actually referenced the popular saying correctly… it’s not that asses smoke, but rather that people try to blow smoke up your ass… this lol, while a good idea, is poorly executed…

  14. FaileV says:

the only thing i can think of when seeing this is ” D: you’ll get smoke in your eye and then it’ll sting”

  15. Duup says:

And President Obama has successfully made Rush Limbaugh the target of conversation and debate, rather than his policies or legislative efforts. Seriously, the left is fixating on someone who is not and has not ever been elected to any office and paying no attention to the most powerful man in the world.

    • Uncle Fester says:

And who the Right laud as a Messiah… a Junkie Messiah, at that… to go with their dysfunctional stalker of a god…

    • raelalt says:

“President Obama has successfully made Rush Limbaugh the target of conversation and debate,”
      .
What the f— are you talking about?
      .
No one of any political import pays any attentional to RL. He is merely a clown made to voice contentious opinions merely to entertain the politically illiterate on both sides of the party line.
      .

    • scum-bot says:

I believe Obama’s supporters and Rush himself bought all that attention.

    • Duup says:

Obama himself has urged the Republicans to not listen to Rush. So clearly the president is paying attention, and it’s hard to deny he’s a person of political import.

The fact that you’re posting in this thread is prima facie evidence that he is a topic of debate.

    • Paul says:

Er, Rush Limbaugh has quite a bit of influence, and is in fact as responsible as anyone for the problems the United States faces today. Are you really suggesting that we should just ignore the problem and hope it’ll go away?

  16. Cincinatus says:

Well, it’s working for the Great and Powerful Obama…. notice how nobody is complaining about Obama EXPANDING RENDITION? For that matter, that it’s going to take him a year to really decide if he can close GitMo?

    • Johnathan says:

This is one I’m waiting on. It seems pretty awful at first, but parts of the provision seem to limit it to reasonable use. That said, I am worried about misuse of the power. I’m not worried about him taking time, I think he needs to think about closing the prisons in great detail. If he holds it open and I’m not convinced it is necessary I’ll be whining about him just as much as I whined about Bush. I’ll wait to be convinced, give him around a year, and if I don’t hear evidence being even more angry at him than Bush

  17. littletelari says:

All you haters are just jealous you aren’t Rush Limbaugh.

    • ubr says:

well, one day i decided to be a fat, cigar smoking, vicodin popping, big mouthed, obnoxious son of a bitch.
and then i found that the post was already filled… so i cracked a beer and called it a day…

      • littletelari says:

Those are some big dreams from a porkulus lover.

        • Paul says:

          “Porkulus lover”?

The fact that you’re enthusiastically repeating Rush’s childish little phrases on the internet reminds us all that Rush Limbaugh is essentially nothing more than the latest prepubescent kiddie pop group (“Jonas Brothers”, I think, right?).

    • ubr says:

well, one day i woke up and decided to become a fat, foul mouthed, cigar smoking, vicodin popping, self-aggrandizing, obnoxious s.o.b…
and then i found out that the post was already filled… so i cracked a beer and called it a day instead…

  18. steroid says:

I guess it’s only fair, since a piece of shit is now our president, a bitch is our speaker of the house, a cocksucker is our vp, and retards as a majority of the senate.

Thank goodness we can have sensible, rational discussions about politics rather than just throwning insults.

    • raelalt says:

And we thank you for your contribution.

    • Paul says:

Ah, yet another right-winger who has no idea that behavior matters.

If President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden had made careers out of attacking the United States and reducing large parts of its population to mindless angry drones your statement might have some merit. In fact, of course, they haven’t. Rush has. That does make a difference.

Your radical relativism has betrayed you, kid.

  19. steroid says:

I guess it’s only fair, since a piece of shite is now our president, a bitch is our speaker of the house, a c*cksucker is our vp, and retards as a majority of the senate.

Thank goodness we can have sensible, rational discussions about politics rather than just throwning insults.

  20. steroid says:

I guess it’s only fair, since a piece of exrement is now our president, a c**t is our speaker of the house, a c***sucker is our vp, and retards as a majority of the senate.

Thank goodness we can have sensible, rational discussions about politics rather than just throwning insults.

    • Johnathan says:

piece of excrement president- let him screw up, then call him a piece of shit. It is the cycle all politicians go through. Until he has really earned it through his actions, I’d disagree.

c**t is our speaker of the house-yep, she’s made enough mistakes

c***sucker veep-I dunno, haven’t seen his record, seems to be okay.

retards as majority of the senate-I’d say they are extremely intelligent, but value power more than welfare of the country. That or they don’t research enough.

There, sensible (close as I get), rational (see before) discussion about politics. It is an internet forum, so you can’t completely remove the pointless use of references to genitals and/or mental disorders, lest the Gods of the 1’s and 0’s remove your content from the tubes

    • raelalt says:

Man I hope you’ve got that out of your system now.

    • The_Obvious says:

Steroids.. obviously effect your penis size AND brain function. Who knew?

  21. sassy says:

    God Bless Rush!

  22. notreally says:

If you don’t like him, don’t listen to him.

  23. sameswag says:

*Applause* (Sadly though, my father listens to him and has minor bouts of angered insanity…) Rush Sucks!

  24. us says:

I wonder if he’ll become the focus of hate for the lefties again, now that Bush is not President anymore.

  25. Patrick says:

    Classy liberal hatred… as usual.

    • Uncle Fester says:

Loud Republican whining… devoid of pride or class…

      • notreally says:

Loud obnoxious liberal… complains too much. Nothing is every right.

        • froofrou says:

Fester’s not a liberal. Geez, people, at least lurk long enough to get a feel for everyone!

          • notreally says:

He sure acts like one, he certainly isn’t conservative.

            • froofrou says:

              You’re right. He isn’t. He’s Tory.

            • Uncle Fester says:

Enlighten me, o wise one, how am I not a ‘conservative’? I’ve not said Michelle Obama is ugly? I think that Limbaugh is a drug ridden cretin? I think O’Reily is one too, and should be in jail? Pray, tell me the tenets of your faith, so that I may learn…

(is expecting a dissemblement answer here…)

              • notreally says:

Believe in gay marriage? Live and let live, do you? Believe in abortion, should be free and legal? Can’t stand that GWB invade Iraq to keep free countries free from terrorism? Against capital punishment? You’re a liberal. In this country “liberal” is not a political party, it’s a way of looking at the world.

                • Uncle Fester says:

Live and let live is a liberal idea? Damn me…
when was foreign adventuring ‘conservative’? Trade, yes, invasion… no, that not conservative, that’s barbary. Then Pro-Life/Pro-War hurm… seems one is an oxymoron to the other… as to gay marriage… that’s a religious issue, so conservatism is religious, pro-war but pro-life, interventionist and expansionist…
I think you need to explain more and rant less… you’re just looking a pillock.

                • Tessie says:

“GWB invade Iraq to keep free countries free from terrorism”
                  `
                  *laughs coffee out nose*

                • FaileV says:

You seem to think that just because Religious conservatism is the most publisized view of Conservatism in the US it is the only form of conservatism. There are of course, Fiscal conservatives, which the US right hasn’t really been living up to. There are issues such as Military power, size of the government, federal vs state powers, and so on that differ between conversative and liberal veiws.
                  ~
The issues of gay marraige, abortion, capital punishment and so on are just modern issues that have been beaten to death by the religious right as they get attention. Conservatism has been around since before the United States was a country and the staunch view of conservatism being religious conservatism in the republican party is what is hurting the party.

                  • ubr says:

                    amen.
                    .
i’m a libertarian, but when forced to pick sides in an argument (like when voting) i usually err on the side of fiscally conservative… i really want the federal government out of my wallet… but what i don’t agree with is the social conservative agenda that has been pushed forward by the republican party of late…
we can be pro capital punishment and anti abortion?
pro gun rights, but anti marriage rights?
                    pro life and pro war?
                    .
but here i have to say that neither side has it right… considering that there are positions on both sides that are inherent contradictions…
pro abortion and anti death penalty
pro free speech, but anti religion
                    .
the hypocrisy is deafening… but hey, that’s politics for you..

                    • Danbala says:

pro abortion and anti death penalty
Ah, but. No contradiction here in my book. (I am not pro abortion, I would rather see that people didn’t get unwanted pregnancies, but still, they do.)

                    • rhorho says:

Name one person who is pro abortion (besides Unc,
of course). Your use of that phrase reveals your
                      bias.

                      • ubr says:

should i have put it pro abortion rights? or pro women’s rights?
rho, my bias is actually towards more freedom for everyone… it’s their body until the baby pops out in my opinion… but thanks for pointing out your bias…

                        • FaileV says:

the hypocrisy comes in when you start thinking in buzzwords instead of thinking things through logically. Pro choice and Anti captital punishment aren’t exclusive. for instance i’ll tell you my belief and you can see if it is hypocritical
I am personally Pro choice. It isn’t that i want all fetuses to die and as soon as a person is pregnant they should abort, i would just rather there is a safer procedure than a back alley wire because a desperate pregnant girl will not just go “oh, well if it’s illegal…” at least when it is legal there is councelling and such available. Point is, i might not like the idea, but it isn’t my baby and making the procedure illegal doesn’t make it go away.
Now I am against capital punishment. It’s not that i give my vestigial tail about their human value, I’m with Kant on that one. If you kill a man, don’t expect human rights. the point is it is an outdated practice. It is more expensive to have someone on death row than regular prison, their numerous appeals clogs the system, we don’t need to make a show of killing a criminal as we did in the olde days, and the death of a murderer does not help the family of those murderered, it removes the target of their hate.
So there you have it. it is not simply the idea ‘psh they aren’t babies, oh but that prisoners life is special” it’s a matter of what is the lesser of two evils.

                        • ubr says:

failev, thank you for putting my thoughts in a more coherent manner… that’s what i get for writing that at 1am… i do not believe that your opinions are hypocritical, in fact they clearly reflect my own.

                        • FaileV says:

It’s cool. I like to pop in now and again and just textwall everything with my thoughts then disappear again

                        • rhorho says:

@ubr: The term “pro abortion” is strange, as
it’s not a phrase used by the “pro choice”
people, any more than the phrase “anti
choice” is used by the “pro life” people.

The vast majority of both sides wish abortion
to be RARE. Calling one side “pro abortion”
implies that they’re running around with
                          scalpels looking for pregnant teenagers,
rape victims and women over age 43.

I’m glad that you agree with FaileV’s opinion,
and I’m sorry for misunderstanding your use
of what I consider to be an incendiary term.

                        • Tessie says:

                • Esa says:

Apparently your way of looking at the world is to blindly follow the ideals of whatever idiotic politician slaps the word ‘conservative’ to his campaign.

Believing in gay marriage should actually be upheld by the conservatives. Religion should not have anything to do with it. Our constitution proclaims equal rights regardless of sex, race, religion, etc. As a conservative, I believe we should literally interpret that to mean exactly what it says: treat everyone the same. I don’t care one cent if the thought of gay marriage makes your stomach turn or your ‘god’ says it’s bad.

Abortion!!! What a gray area that one is. Do we let an eleven year old child who has been raped by her father carry a baby to term? Do we force a family to choose between the mother’s life or the child she is carrying? Do I think it should be used as a form of birth control? No, I think people should be a little more responsible for their own actions but to ban abortion entirely? I can’t support that for extreme reasons like the examples above. What other people chose to legally do in this country is their choice. They live with the consequences.

And good ole G.W. (all sarcasm intended). I voted for that SOB the first time. My mistake. A man who would use his country in such a sore fashion shouldn’t be followed but ground into dust under the general populous’ heels. I know most considered him a blathering idiot. He’s actually bloody brilliant. He managed to keep this country in a state of ‘war’ almost the entirety of reign. He used whatever flame inciting propaganda he could come up with and supported it with whatever ‘intelligence’ he knew he needed to keep things ‘legal’. The brilliance of these tactics? His family has oil. Do I really need to explain that to you? War lines the pockets of people like Georgey boy.

Capital punishment: if even one person is wrongly killed because of capital punishment then it is not doing what it was set up for to begin with. If there are several eye witnesses, DNA evidence, and more than just probable cause, take the bastard out back and shoot him. Guilty, ten cent piece of lead will do the trick and not cost tax payers more than life imprisonment. But if there is any room for doubt we can’t end someone’s life that may be found innocent later. That would make us worse than the monsters committing the crimes in the first place.

Learn how to think for yourself you half-witted twat. Stop blindly following the drivel being spewed by the party that throws a word around like a hot potato.

Uncle, sorry for butting in. I abhor people such as this and they piss me off. And, well, the above is what happens when I get pissed off.

Kid, did you somehow fail to notice that Rush Limbaugh’s entire career is based on the giant population of whiny childish conservatives infesting the United States?

A hundred years from now what people will remember about the modern conservative movement will be simply that they were crybabies. That’s clearly the central unifying theme.

            I have a fascinating theory:
Ultra-right-wingers complain about being underdogs because, in a strange way, they actually are underdogs.
*sound of torches and pitchforks being brought to the forefront*
No, really. Despite the way they hog the country as though it belonged to them and them alone, keep a stranglehold on the media, and periodically hijack the government, they’re losers — and on some reptile brain level, they know it. If you asked people in a non-propaganda-loaded, non-fear-mongering way what they believed in, I think most people still believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. So the wingnuts, although they may not be exactly sharp in terms of self-knowledge, realize that they’re losers and underdogs. Nobody really agrees with them, and (except for a half dozen corporate CEOs) nobody really wants their ideals to succeed. They’re in an indefensible position — it’s as though they endorsed slavery — and yet they feel compelled to walk off the same cliff over and over. I think it’s this subliminal knowledge that makes them such bitter, p1ssy whiners.

                          rag…

                  • FaileV says:

This might be a surprise but when arguing something, such as “you are liberal” or “you are not conservative” it is generally a better idea to paraphrase than quote, as then you establish right off the bat where your beliefs on the subject are. When you just put up any page or quote and people read it they will interpret it in different ways and often times in a way that does not support your argument. Support is not in a quote, it is in your interpretation of it. If you stop acting up and just give a brief explanation then you would actually look like you know what a conservative is, and not simply like some fool that made a statement without any support and is now frantically trying to escape it.

                    • UsualSuspect says:

No, I am not going to give any explanation at this point. I am not dealing with a normal person here, Fester is a troll and nothing else.
At any rate, most people already have an idea of the definition of conservative and liberal, if not they can look it up. I’m not frantically trying to escape anything, this is entertainment for me.

  36. Nate says:

Liberals crack me up. They really do. They’re really setting a disturbing precident in this country if they really think that Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are anything but entertainers with a political opinion. If that’s the case, then Im going to start getting my news from Colbert and Stewart. I guess it’s not important that Limbaugh admitted he was addicted to Oxycontin and got treatment, we’re still going to attack him for it.
If you used that same mindset to look at your own politicians, Obama wouldn’t be in the white house today because you would have attacked him for his vague notions of “change” and “hope” and for his shady affiliations with criminals and terrorists, or that his wife says un-American things.
I guess it doesn’t matter that in one day Obama managed to kill 40,000 jobs, and will be releasing terrorist scum back into the wild.
I listen to Limbaugh. He’s extremely intelligent and well spoken. He’s funny too. I don’t get my news from him. The people he talks about do a good enough job of convincing me not to vote for them on their own.

    • I will let others say what they will so I will poke with a stick this tidbit from your post. “UnAmerican” things… Since when was blind patriotism a good idea? This country was founded by people who spoke out against government and put protections in the constitutions to protect people from the government. The term UnAmerican is something used by weak leaders to bully the populace by making the naysayers feel ostracized so they “Straighten up” and follow the words of the shepard.

I wouldn’t worry about “UnAmerican” things being said. I would worry about actual policy on the table. When you say UnAmerican as a sole reason to discredit somebody, it means you lack actual issues to oppose and thus just want a reason to dislike a person for political reasons.

Disclaimer: I know I used the term UnAmerican in a post about duty and doing your job in another post. Luckily I placed the disclaimer that it was there to cover the bases. Also the use of the term in the post above me just strengthens the reason I used in the other thread.

    • Uncle Fester says:

I think the Oxycontin issue is that he generally was, shall we say, a hypocrite on the subject. I wonder if he’d play ‘I Know I’ll Never Love This Way Again’ prior to his announcing he was HIV +ve… If not, he’s a hypocrite, and a ghoul…

Intelligent and well spoken… intelligence is debatable and relative. He has to be well spoken since he’s on the radio.

As to the rest, well, a lot of people do seem to look to him to be told their opinion, and to be brutally frank, you sound very much the same as those who do.

  37. Nate says:

what are you even trying to say? I think you just made my point.

  38. Saxon says:

How is Rush an asshole? He has his opinions just like everyone else. And he overplays his ‘ego.’ He makes fun of himself, in that way. You can tell he’s joking the first time you hear it. He’s also helped out a lot of people more than Obama or Pelosi ever have… He regularly gives away stuff to people who call in. Once, a lady called in and explained how worried she was about her finances and such. So he gave her a brand new car. He does generous things like this all the time. How is that being an asshole?
And its not like the left doesn’t have their ‘outspoken members.’

  39. Adam says:

I’m surprised to hear that people actually fall for his bullshit… Rush gave someone a car for the same reasons that politicians kiss babies. Furthermore, you think that shit was out of his pocket??

Rush is an asshole, you’re just on the list of people he’s fooled with his FOXy ways.

    • Saxon says:

whatever his intentions are, he still did it. Those people still got the help they wanted. While politicians are sitting in their mansions thinking up ways to mess everything up some more and call it ‘helping.’

      • Adam says:

“When a man points at the moon, it is the fool that looks at the finger.” I’m sure you think it’s really cool that he helped one person out of 400 million in this country, but you’re illustrating the conservative way PERFECTLY. Very few get the benefits while everyone else is made to suffer.

I’m sorry, but Rush makes more money than all but conservative politicians. See: McCain “I didn’t know that I owned seven houses” debacle.

        • eddiepscetti says:

If you’re going to slam Republicans, surely you can find a better example than that.

        • Saxon says:

weren’t those seven houses his wifes anyway? I’m not sure, but I heard they’re technically his wife’s. Anyway, it wasn’t one person. It’s been many over the course of his show. All these government programs put together by democrats do nothing but hurt the general public. It teaches people to rely on the government, and the hard working tax payers, rather than learning to take care of themselves. And for the record, I’m more of a libertarian, than a conservative.
