I appreciate your first statement and completely agree. But, please understand that MacOS is not in the least bit immune to viruses nore has it ever been. The truth is that there are simply far fewer viruses targeted at BSD and Linux or other such variants of Unix. Point of fact; since the release of Leopard, the number of viruses targeted to Mac have increased, not decreased.

Please don’t fool yourself or others into a false sense of security.

Now adware is a completely different story, but even then they are becoming more common on Mac due to a significant increase in the market share between Mac and Linux; though still far less common than even Viruses.

I love these mac haters. Everyone knows (cept morons) that you can run both Windows, and MacOS on the same Mac computer, and Windows is only popular because replacing PC’s on a large scale to switch operating systems in a business environment is extremely costly and time consuming. – Fixed that for you.

In addition, MacOS is completely immune to virus and spyware infection, unlike Windows.

You’re a PC fanboy, and that’s ok. I love my PC, because I assembled it myself, and that allowed me to get incredible hardware for a fraction of Apple prices. I would replace it with a mac in a heartbeat if they standardized the hardware so I could build my own.

The fact that you can run Windows on an Apple computer makes all of your “Mac Sux” arguments irrelevant, because it’s not just a Mac anymore. Welcome to the year 2006.

1: The only thing common between the pic and the backdrop are that it’s a sloped grassy surface.

I too had the dreaded default background on my work computer (and honestly, this caption made me laugh more than any on here in a few weeks because of that). Anyway, I made friends with the tech person and they let me upload a few personal pix to use as backgrounds. Much better.
