The distinction between Europe and Asia as continents is purely a cultural one. The distinction of Australia being its own continent is similar (the geographical continent is Australasia).

@dropping in: Asia has a larger population but it also a) has better resources for supplying its population with the necessities of life and b) at least in China has a better handle on controlling population growth. Less so on the Indian subcontinent, but for the most part Asian population growth is more sustainable than African.

Valid point re: Eurasia, I was going along with the old textbook definitions for the sake of the joke. :^P

How can you say that Asia does not have an equally large populationconcern?, and albeit more hidden, equally large if not larger issue with AID and other STD in Russia, China, and Mongolia (not sure about India)…And the 6 continent in Europe come from the fact that ASIA and EUROPE are not separated at all- they are one massive land mass. All others are split- granted NA and SA by the panama canal, but thems the breaks. water separates every other major land mass from each other except Europe and Asia..and if I am wrong, I do not care0 this is much more logical than some guy said so.

Half the world wishes they could eat like Americans, so North America – Gluttony.

Europe, former seat of empires, defining chauvinism (not just the male sort) and hey, the French, so Europe = Pride.

Africa is having trouble sustaining its population growth, so yeah, Africa = Lust.

South America’s history is littered with dictators who absconded with their population’s wealth, so South America = Avarice.

Antarctica defaults to sloth because what the hell else is it going to be? It’s frozen.

Wrath and Envy could each apply to both Asia and Australia. I guess it depends on whether theft or crimes of violence would be more likely to get an Englishman transported back in the day.
