Ha ha, we’re reading Hamlet right now in class! Original emo kid, that one, although I love his sarcasm. We’re not very far in yet, though.
For me, Hamlet’s coolness is waaaay overshadowed by that of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
Especially as played by Ralph Fiennes in the movie. I can’t be bothered to read the book. : )
Have you seen “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead”? One of the best plays EVAR, especially if done right. I watched a 5A State OAP performance, and almost laughed myself to the floor. It was amazing! If you like R&C, you’ll LOVE them after a good performance of “R&C Are Dead”!
My teacher’s referenced that play twice already. I think I’m going to have to go see it, since there’s a production of it being put on sometime…I’ll have to figure out when. They do seem rather ineffectual, don’t they?
Whoops, I mis attributed. Not Fiennes, but Tim Roth, starred in the movie version. Which was brilliant. I haven’t had the opportunity to see it in play form yet.

You’re right there – everyone should have the opportunity for a well-prepared Devonshire Tea – as well as a really well-done high tea.
I actually do drink tea quite a bit, so I probably would enjoy it! I would like to go to England someday and have proper tea; I make mine in the microwave with tea bags (I know, I’m so gauche).
*Tries very hard not to boggle* Microwave? I won’t go into it, but the way to a perfect cuppa beginneth not at the door of the microwave. Devonshire Teas and high teas are about more than just the tea itself. Plates of scones with freshly-whipped cream and strawberry jam are part of the ritual (which, in its own way is every bit as stylised as a Japanese tea ceremony). More so with high teas. Really classy way to spend an afternoon.
