  1. Hammy_Wi says:

Poor Michelle…looks like Oprah has you in her clutches now.

  2. sally says:

    Hilarious!
    :)

  3. ema says:

She actually did a lot for his campaign, they will probably have to give her a cabinet position.

  4. hergieburbur says:

I thought the limit was 10K?

    • Christine says:

For an individual it is $2300. PACs and other organization have different limits, but what you can have donated under your name is $2300 directly to the campaign. You can give a certain amount to a PAC or what have you, but they are subject to other rules and regulations.

  5. Seth says:

When is Oprah going to get it over with and just declare herself the Messiah of Oprahism?

    • n8 says:

Religion is a vehicle for amassing temporal power. Oprah has already amassed such power… why bother with a religion at this stage?

      • cobrajoe says:

So people would follow her and donate money and read her books.

Also, then you wouldn’t have to be taxed, because you are a religious organization, just like scientology.

  6. Maribel says:

    Every moment is Oprah’s moment.

  7. Thea says:

On election night, I was watching the coverage on various networks, and ABC gave a good 5-6 minutes to Ms. Winfrey. As she was enthusing about Obama, I had a horrible suspicion. I turned to my fiancé and said to him, “Oh shit, what if everyone is just voting for Obama because Oprah told them to?? You know, like the way that there are all of these good books that no one ever reads that become bestsellers as soon as Oprah puts them in her book club?” Then we laughed at my silly idea and moved on.
Now I’m wondering how silly my idea actually was. Plus, I’m getting pretty sick of Oprah, no matter how pure her motives may be. The lady needs to calm down — doesn’t she have an issue of her magazine going to press soon, or something else of equal importance (to her) to work on?

    • FaileV says:

well for the moment let us give the premise that obama won the election due to Oprah. Now if the books she puts on her reading list are good books to begin with, is there a problem? I see that it is questionable with people, however if Obama was a good canidate then, got attention and was sky rocketed through that, he is still a good canidate.
In the same sense I believe Palin is an awful canidate, got press, and is still a god awful canidate (even more so). the attention of more masses would bring more questions about this new things and it did not bring him down.
      ~
that being said i don’t really think he won that way. I think it may have been easier to win, but it wasn’t just oprah.

      • Seola says:

        A) His own campaign quoted possibly more than 1 million votes because of her. B) Good is usually subject to the reader. I hate Harry Potter but the books sold millions to many adults – it’s god awful writing IMO. Sweet Valley High with Magic. C) He had plenty of things that could have brought him down, instead he played hypocrite, spent millions in negative advertising then cried about McCain’s negative advertising and his “negative tone”. D) I hate Oprah, but when people say they didn’t see her, that just affirms my thoughts that no one has even come close to watching anything he says and just watches the news. She’s appeared with him often and held a few “conferences”, rallies, whatever she called them in his support.

  8. Ruth Peltier says:

I voted for McCain and I am not at all a fan of Oprah. That said, this lol offends me on more levels than I can count. Shame on whoever put this one together.

  9. Hannah Bob says:

    This is an EXCELLENT lol.

  10. Blarg says:

    Pimpin’ ain’t easy, bro.

  11. Amber says:

I didn’t vote for Obama and I can’t stand Oprah and I don’t know how on earth you could be offended by this picture. I laughed so hard I almost shot milk out of my nose. Gross for cereal! Yay for LOLs! I wish I had this poster I would so put it somewhere in my house. Maybe in my bathroom. Above my toilet.

  12. fasfan says:

    ATTENTION WHORE (The Trifecta)

  13. PhotoShopLifter Dan says:

I hear tell that Oprah threw her support behind Obama because she has a full mad-on-schoolgirl crush on Barack; sources saythat, when she gets around him, she’s like a high-school cheerleader wanting to be asked to the prom by the Star Quarterback/Big Man On Campus.

A little bit of wicked PhotoShopping would erase Michelle and put Oprah where she most wants to be: Mrs. Obama 2.0

  14. Schmoe says:

I’ve always wondered just what Oprah did to get famous. Was she in any movies other than The Color Purple? Did she get where she is through the usual “networking”: i.e. not what you know but who you know? It amuses me when I see her magazine at the checkout and her picture is on every cover. I guess massive ego is the most important character trait in America.

    • mothergoose says:

I live close to Baltimore, Md…she started out as a newscaster here before she went to Chicago. She was OK as a newsie, but then started her own AM Talkshow, and America hasn’t been the same since…

      • ClickClickNow says:

My late beloved Mother, who was as conservative as they get, always spoke highly of Opera as being the best of the talk show hosts. She is ahead of the pack, the top of the field.

    • PortlandMark says:

Speaking as someone who runs screaming from the room when Oprah is on TV, she got famous for having insight and compassion that move a lot of people. Especially female people. I don’t get it, but I respect it.

Just please, please, please, don’t make me listen to her.

  15. What's offensive? says:

Sistah bought and paid for him; of course she wants credit for it.

  16. RoyBatty says:

This is a very cheap shot lolz and the only time I’ve complained about one.

Worse, it’s the opposite of the truth. After she did her stadium thing last year, Winfrey disappeared behind the scenes. I am not a fan of the woman, but at least give her her fucking due – after staying out of politics for years, she knew she was going to alienate part of her TV audience by doing this. She also had guts to resist the drumbeat of the Clinton team, which many other black celebrities and political figures didn’t and weren’t there for Obama until after Hillary dropped out.

As with most humor, these things are really only truly funny when they are honest. This one wasn’t.

  17. Esa says:

Did anyone else ever notice that Oprah kind of looks like Aughra from the Dark Crystal sans the extra eye?

  18. Selkhit says:

Is it just me, or does Oprah look a LOT like E.T.?

  19. DW says:

All yur attenshuns belong to ME!

I’m offended by my own comment….

  20. Andrea says:

I saw this earlier today. Had hoped it had been removed by this afternoon. It is very offensive to me. Oprah is a good and decent woman who has done much for many people around the world. Referring to her as a whore (of any variety) is repugnant and not at all funny.

    • froofrou says:

Get in line for offensive LOL’s, and then please to remove yourself from an off-color LOL site. Don’t like it, don’t come back. You don’t see me complaining about the weird-looking McCain pictures posted up here, do you? Didn’t think so :-)
      -
And if you can’t see Oprah for the attention whore that she is, then you’re in denial. No one gives away cars on national TV unless they want people looking at them.

      • PeppaMama says:

Right on, froofrou…I voted for McCain, yes I did, but still some of the shots at McCain/Palin on here were pretty funny.

The Constitution does NOT guarantee the right not to be offended, so be off with all of you whiners! You’re free to speak your minds, but don’t demand that the LOLs be removed from your oversensitive sight.

    • Jane St.Clair says:

Please remove the stick from your ass, it offends me.

    • eddiepscetti says:

Ohhh… boo-hoo.. I’m offended that your offended. So maybe you should remove yourself?

  21. adizzal_yo says:

Yay!! Oprah getting her hands all over a new obsession!!!! Before you know it, everyone in the White House (Party Central!) will be wearing the latest Prada Cashmere scarf dealy.

    Oprah=big joke

  22. Green Is Good says:

Every moment is Oprah’s moment. *rolls eyes*

  23. Julie says:

    I lol’d

  24. kaity says:

Lols are supposed to be funny. This one just ain’t funny.

Oprah was in the audience along with a sobbing Jesse Jackson at the “moment” for President-Elect Obama’s acceptance speech. I guess facts don’t matter when you just want to be nasty.

    • froofrou says:

      Need help with that stick?

      • kaity says:

Nah. Need help finding your brain? That’s one of the lamest of the old and lame. Come on, bub. Bring it.

        • froofrou says:

*collapses on the floor into a puddle of jelly at kaity’s witty reply*
          -
          *rolls eyes*
          -
It’s a LOL site. Some of them are offensive. THAT’S THE POINT. Get over it, or leave.
          -
Besides, Oprah is the biggest attention whore since…..well, ever, and her interjecting herself into this picture just proves it. That doesn’t make her a bad person or in any way taint Obama’s win, but it just shows her for what she is.

          • ShadowVenus says:

Dude, you really have no idea if she injected herself or they told her to lean in for the photo. The point is the picture itself LOOKS like; there’s no reason to rationalize the joke at all.

    • Kuromisa says:

Or, y’know, this might just be a LOL site and therefore not worth getting that outraged over. Just a thought.

    • Rvo says:

      Lord almighty, suck it up.

This barely registers on the offend-o-meter, you putz.

    • ShadowVenus says:

With all due respect, these lolz are reflections on a “moment”…this is not a comment on a picture of Oprah crying on election night.

  25. ShadowVenus says:

I find the whole thing incredibly silly. Is it famous people that are full of themselves, or are we the ones in fact that are the problem? We pile all of this attention on these people and then complain at the nature of their response. Apparently, Oprah is full of herself, yet the only evidence folks are presenting is the argument itself. I guess if it’s repeated often enough, it’s supposed to be true.
I have nothing against the woman, but I’m not a rabid fan hanging on her every word, either. Truth be told, the only difference between her and us on this forum are the number of zeros in her monthly income. None of us here post with the assumption that we’re wrong any more than she does when hosting her show. So, who’s really full of themselves? The one with a bunch of money and millions of viewers that believes she knows what she’s talking about, or the ones that pile on empty criticism because it seems like the in thing to do, completely ignoring the fact that we’re just as arrogant as she is?

  26. Suburban Housewife says:

    So a couple of things:

    1. Oprah actually kept pretty quiet about Obama on her show during the election. The army of suburban housewives who watch her show every afternoon and read stupid books because she says so, actually tend toward the political right and she probably feared alienating them and she makes a lot more money when they buy a book with the “Oprah’s Book Club” sticker on it than she will because of Obama’s election (after all, her taxes will be going up)

    2. Give people who watch Oprah a little credit. We are not all mindless drones. I’ve been watching Oprah’s show since college and own exactly nothing that she recommended on her x-mas episode, only read her magazine in waiting rooms, and have only bought her book club books off of bargin tables because they were books I wanted to read, not because of the “O” sticker.

    3. Has any one accused Bill Gates of rigging the election? He has way more money than Oprah and is way more computer savy. He could probably pay someone to write a program that would apply for credit using bogus social security #s, then use said credit to donate in small amounts to his favourite candidate and BAM! he’s bought us a president all while doing rich people stuff. I say this not to actually accuse Mr. Gates of misbehaviour but instead to say “Paranoid much, folks?”

  27. D-Day says:

Oprah needs to realize she’s not nearly as important as the president.
