    First !

  2. Bix Nood says:

These kind of pictures are getting kind of old.

  3. Uncle Fester says:

    Amen to the captioner!

    • donkeytalker says:

Hmmm… close. I suppose that if the captioner (captioneer?) had dropped the font size, there would’ve been room for at least two “uh”s and appropriate dashes.

      • herb says:

Dashes (or double hyphens) are useful for when there is a rapid change of topic — by the way, I love the caption. Points of ellipses signify when material has been deleted in a quote… or otherwise show a long pause… like this.

  4. i_tego_arcana_dei says:

    i can has funny now?

  5. bird is the word says:

Waaahhhhh. Obama won and people are happy about it. Waaahhhh.

  6. n8 says:

Stupid libs! Being all happy about winning… don’t they know that these are Dark Days for the United Socialist States of Amerika? Be sad! Be fearful! Find something we can use to impeach!!!

  7. Joseph says:

I’m delighted we could elect someone that looks like Obama. It scares the crap out of me that we could elect someone that thinks like him.

    • Jamieteevee says:

Like what? That fiscal responsibility starts with the budget? That foreign policy starts with diplomacy? That companies making unprecedented profits while screwing Americans out of jobs and pensions do not deserve hundreds of millions of $ in tax breaks. That someone who has worked their whole life and payed into a system that said it would take care of them when they needed it would uphold that promise.
Honestly, What do you THINK he thinks like?

    • mothergoose says:

On the other hand, too many people in this country seem interested in electing Sarah Palin in 2012…and she doesn’t think at all!!

      • jules says:

I hope not. I firmly believe she lost McCain the election.

        • mothergoose says:

I think McCain cost McCain the election. If he was the one making the decisions, then he showed poor judgement by picking her as a running mate. If he wasn’t the one making the decisions, then he showed even poorer judgement surrounding himself with the people who chose her for him.

          • Mac says:

the GOP wanted him to pick her…

          • Phaelin says:

I’m just waiting for him to go on TV and say “That was probably the worst decision I have made this whole election.”

          • DaffySaffy says:

TBH, I got the impression that McCain didn’t expect to win the nomination, and wasn’t really keen on winning the election. It was the only reason I could think of for his choosing Palin as a running mate. Unless she’s really well-known in the US and a key figure in the Republican party and I’m just working off a fraction of the full picture?

            • DaffySaffy says:

Sorry, should have mentioned that I’m not American so I don’t really know the ins and outs of party politics in the US!

              • Uncle Fester says:

                It’s not hard.

Its a combo of Beuaty Pageant and Tent Revival, sponsoring liars who wrap themselves in the flag and make promises that they have no intention of keeping.

                Same as everywhere else, really.

                • donkeytalker says:

Beauty pageant? Nixon? Carter? Reagan? Bush? Bush? Ummm… for that matter, Thatcher and Major? In my case, Fraser, Hawke, Keating and Howard? Electors may well need free optical before doin’ this again, Unc.

            • Carol Elaine says:

DaffySaffy, Palin wasn’t known to the majority of the U.S. until her selection as VP candidate. Nor was she a key figure in the Republican party. She was picked because she was a popular governor for Alaska and was seen by many Alaskans as combating corruption (which was rife in Alaskan government). That popularity has fallen – she may not get another term as governor. I have friends in Alaska who originally voted for her a couple of years ago and have sworn that they wouldn’t vote for her for dog catcher after this, since they feel (and I agree) that her true colors have been revealed.

Plus she appeals to what is considered as the Republican base – evangelical Christians who are afraid of anyone who doesn’t look like them. There is also talk that she was picked to try to appeal to the Hillary Clinton supporters who didn’t like Barack Obama – apparently they thought any woman would do. They were wrong.

mothergoose is right: McCain lost McCain’s campaign. In the end, he’s the one who could have said yes or no to the VP candidate, despite the pressure from the GOP.

            • Christine says:

Actually it’s been said that John McCain has always wanted the Presidency because that is one way he would be able to one up his father and grandfather, since he couldn’t do it at the naval academy or during his service.

          • jules says:

Good point, I’ll buy that one.

        • Hell Hath No Fury says:

I may not be a political genius, but I work in Washington’s state capitol building, and have heard waaayyy too many people mention that the only reason he chose her is because one woman was already taken out of the race *Hillary*, and before that, Dems had two political ‘minorities’, a black AND a female *=epic win for them*, so McCain chose a woman to play to all the voters dying to elect a female. I am not one to criticize, but I think there was a resounding, “WTF why didn’t you do any research” from all the GOP when he chose her. I do not hate her, and I’m a Republican, but really, one would think that between the two of them, she could have done some reading, and he could have had his minions do some research into her ideals and manymanymany Ditzerella moments.

        • gnn1 says:

according to an exit poll, the two biggest problems people had with mccain were, in order, Palin and McCain’s age. So you are correct.

  8. Dinner4JC says:

    Nope not old at all.
    Obama = EPIC WIN!!!!!

  9. JayRay says:

  10. liz says:

  14. leah says:

  15. Wolfram says:

  16. 12394 says:

  18. donkeytalker says:

  19. Seph says:
