    Funneh!

  2. ck says:

    ‘Shopped.
    *squints*
    I think it’s shopped, anyway.

  3. captboog says:

    FIRST!! lol so true

  4. captboog says:

    phail 3RD

  5. jluve82 says:

Why is this man so in love with that finger?

  6. Frtz says:

I wonder where he wants to stick that finger..

  7. The fingers are offcolor but that might be an issue with the lens. I am trying to figure out what else his hand might be doing but flipping off fits the expression on his face so I am inclined to believe the color is an aberration instead of proof of being shopped. However, I will leave that for others to wince over.

  8. J says:

He already knows we’re fucked once he leaves.

    • xXCaliGirlXx says:

Aren’t we more fucked with him in office than out of office?

      • Hana says:

Ha. Not even close. Once he’s out of office, you’re gonna see TRUE incompetence, arrogance and idiocy. You’ll wish you only had Bush in office again. Don’t believe me? Check out Wall Street. They know.

        • B says:

I know you’re not supposed to feed the trolls, but…

          You’re a moron.

Wall street has been plummeting because droves of rich people are getting spooked and selling their stocks, and it’s cascading out of control. The more people sell, the more the market plummets, and the more the market plummets, the more people sell.

As for the competency of our new president, anyone who truly thinks that we’re in more trouble now than before is an honest to goodness idiot. We are in the best shape we’ve been in for 8 years. Heck, perhaps other countries will actually respect the US again. It’s already beginning: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/barackobama/3387760/Barack-Obama-victory-allows-Britain-to-love-US-again.html.

And honestly, how could you hate a candidate that plans tax cuts for the great majority of America, wants to end unnecessary wars, not start new wars, and bring outsourced jobs back?

          • Seriously?!? says:

i’m curious, how exactly does he propose to “bring outsourced jobs back”? Last time I checked those companys are free agencies and can set up shop anywhere they please.

            • Seriously?!? says:

              *sigh* companies

              • Caroline says:

By raising taxes on american based companies with factories in low wage countries–> then they’ll come back and give the jobs to americans…

                • froofrou says:

Or they’ll just cut jobs and increase prices to cover the bottom line.

                  • PortlandMark says:

In that case, they deserve to fail, and native born industries will have to be restarted.

Any American who makes his fortune by outsourcing American jobs is a traitor to the nation and ought to be locked up, or at least kicked the hell out of our country.

                      • curseyoudaystar says:

Business owners like to complain, “If we have to do the production over here with AMERICAN labor, we have to pay more, and give benefits, and that makes the product more expensive!”

This may be true…but it’s okay if it becomes a little more expensie, because WE WILL ALL HAVE JOBS!

            • jhuger says:

According to his web site, he plans to alter the tax structure to make outsourcing less attractive, give companies that create jobs here a tax break, and give preference to companies that keep jobs here when awarding government contracts.

I don’t suppose it occurred to you to ask that question before the election.

              • Uncle Fester says:

                see my reply below

              • Seriously?!? says:

Actually I didnt vote for president this year, I couldn’t bring myself to vote for either one of these yokels. I have so many problems with both of their proposed policies. Besides the popular vote means very little and my state ( Oregon ) has been a blue state for about as long as i’ve been alive.

                • Wow..... says:

that is just brilliant. well, i can’t really decide, so i will not vote and then whing about the president EVERYONE ELSE picks. way to participate in a democracy

            • Lolist says:

Tax breaks to companies that bring jobs BACK to the USA…
Instead of giving breaks to companies that send jobs to elsewhere…
              That’s how.

              • charro says:

What a novel idea.. Help the American people earn money instead of helping other countries earn money with American jobs… Middle class drives the economy what? How socialist of you.

            • Uncle Fester says:

There is a way. Mussolini did it.

        • PortlandMark says:

Someone at work tried to convince me of that yesterday. I had to point out that the markets have been in free fall for six weeks, and Obama hasn’t even stepped foot inside the white house yet, but she maintains that *this* week’s failures are different from *last* week’s failures.

          Logic: FAIL

          • topmiddle says:

You’re retarded. I bought stocks a few weeks before the election and I’ve already hit the break-even point. Plus, I got dividend stocks so I’m getting a check for $14 soon. It’s not much but there’s the opportunity to purchase some good stock while it’s cheap enough to be affordable.

    • tiim says:

so tru :( he certainly had a LOT to improve on, but now we really are fucked…

    • Eric-in-STL says:

I’m sorry. Are you under the impression that things are going WELL here? ‘Cos I gotta say, I’ve been pretty royally fucked ever since he came into office, and I voted for the SOB in 2000. I will NEVER vote Republican again.

      • curseyoudaystar says:

Yeah…McCain was the guy to vote for back in 2000. I honestly think if he’d won the office back then, we’d be in okay shape. The guy was practically a Democrat back then. I don’t think McCain would’ve gone to Iraq, and he’d have smacked the oil companies and Wall St. around for pulling the money-grubbing shyte they’ve been pulling for the past 8 years.

However…THIS time around…he wasn’t quite right for the job…as the American people clearly expressed.

        • She says:

That past 8 years? They’ve been pulling this “money grubbing shyte” for decades. These kind of problems take way longer than 8 years to build up.

  9. BigD says:

That picture is so photoshop’d. His finger is different color than the rest of his hand as well as the knuckle on his first finger.

  10. He was doing this the whole time he was in office.

  11. Charlie Foxtrot says:

They either cut off his index finger, or added one.

  12. Tessie says:

As long as he actually leaves, he can hold up as many fingers as he wants.

  13. Jerry says:

    obviously photoshopped.

    it’s obvious.

    • minerva146 says:

Not necessarily. We’d know more if the context of the photo was more clear. See my link for another lovely example. It’s pretty funny. He was joking around and did it casually. He might have been in the habit of it. Meh.

  14. minerva146 says:

It could be real. Here’s a real one on video.

  15. allikf says:

I hate to burst all ya’lls bubbles but it’s not photoshopped. The reason the finger looks lighter is because the rest of the hand is in shadow. If you open the image in paint and blow it up you can see that there isn’t any of the obvious artifact that you get from a photoshop job.

Having said all that I doubt that it was intentional on his part. The image is really grainy so it’s probably a still capture from a video. He was probably about to scatch his nose or something.

Oh and another appropriate caption “The feeling is mutual.”

    • scum-bot says:

lol, but I kinda have a hard time believing it’s real. Look at the flag, it looks photoshopped also. Though this would rock if it was real. I wonder who would he be fliping off (aside from the middle class, the world and anyone who disagrees with him)

      • FaileV says:

it does look a bit fake for a flag now that i see it, but that might just be some weird thing.

My guess is he thinks it’s funny and is the type to take to flipping off his friends and whatever. In the same way you might insult your own friends in jest.

    • Ibbits2 says:

I’m with ya – it’s not photoshopped. When you zoom in tight, there’s a thin and consistent shadow around his entire hand and arm that would be really, REALLY challenging to reproduce. However, I do believe it’s intentional, but probably in jest.

…and I dig your alternate caption.

      • allikf says:

Thank you but I must give credit where credit is due, my husband. I sent him the pic and that was his response.

    • allikf says:

ok I did some more research. The finger is real the flag is fake. He was actually carrying his dog. Itโ€™s hard to find any images that arenโ€™t on someoneโ€™s blog (which makes me naturally skeptical) but some of the images Iโ€™ve found were obvious stills from a TV. So Iโ€™m comfortable with โ€œreal finger, fake flagโ€.

If you do an image search for “bush finger” on google you’ll find loads of them.

      • curseyoudaystar says:

Maybe he was flipping off the dumbass reporter who got bitten by the dog.

I saw the video and if the reporter wanted to pet a dog who didn’t know him, he REALLY should have moved a bit more slowly…not just reached down from the dog’s blind spot.

    • !null says:

      - If his hand were in shadow his thumb would be lighter too.
      – The entire image is full of jpeg artifacts. It would be impossible to notice one around his finger, even if it wasn’t for the fact that:
      – Photoshop itself can save a jpeg at full quality. At 100% it will not create new artifacts.
I agree that it’s probably from a video but it looks like pre-Photoshop he was giving a thumbs up.
I also agree with your alternate caption.

    • Tessie says:

Another possible caption, although not a timely one: Here’s your manual recount.

    • Sir Scarfalot says:

I used preview to blow up the hand, and it really looks like the middle finger was put on top of a curled middle. still, darn good ’shop, at high res it looks very realistic

    • Trainwreck Chaser says:

Thanks for being a tolerant liberal.

      • allikf says:

I try (I don’t always succeed but hey I’m only human). Some very good friends of mine are republicans and libertarians and we all manage to get along. We have lively discussions about the issues without getting personal and at the end of the day we can all still sit down and enjoy a few beers together. If only the rest of the country could learn from me and my friends.

    • charro says:

I think you meant “pick his nose”.

  16. Obama kicksass says:

Lol, but you need to make the finger look more like the color of his hand next time, it’s really pale in comparison. Good job though.

  17. Tseran says:

Its obviously NOT photoshopped. His expression says it all.

  18. Kaitlin says:

    HAHAHA that’s awesome!

  19. zipadedoohdah says:

I don’t care if it is photoshopped, it’s still funny

  20. Schmoe says:

Under international law, once he and Cheney leave office they can be prosecuted for war crimes, like complicity in torture.

  21. chris says:

Wow, this place really is run by a bunch of tasteless retards.

  22. gardenqueen says:

Wasn’t that his hello to the country as well?

  23. Stephy says:

Who cares if it’s photoshopped or not? It’s still funny either way.

  24. Jackie says:

GROW UP FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS DECENT!

    • ihavkittehs2 says:

Growing up is against the spirit of this website.

      • The Crapture says:

And i take this to mean that apparently the only genuine expression of being a grown up is blind adoration of the above pictured incompetent troll of a president? This dry-drunk frat-boy whose backers and aides pronounced, upon his ascension, that “the grown ups are in charge now” and then proceeded govern according to his insecurities, prejudices and daddy-issues. If that’s “grown up” to you, Jackie, i’ll stick to my immaturity, thx.

  25. Talia says:

Alternate caption suggestion: And the same to you, “sir”!

And who cares if it’s photoshopped!

  26. Mac says:

you can definitely see this is a photoshop job where they removed his dog http://whitehouser.com/img/iraq/bush_finger.jpg but idk the finger might be legit.

  27. Mac says:

click my name and you can see that they removed his dog from the picture. this is a photoshop job on the flag but idk i think the finger is legit.

  28. Mac says:

sorry… this is the right one this time. in the picture with the flag look near the text at the bottom and you can see where the dog’s foot is suppose to be.

  29. Dylan H says:

    “The one finger victory salute.”

  30. kaylee says:

God I hate that man so much. The feeling is soooo mutual, Georgie!

  31. unknown says:

    Shopped

  32. jared says:

    photoshop fail

  33. Mac says:

best Obama negative campaign add http://www.nbc.com/Late_Night_with_Conan_O‘Brien/video/clips/conans-negative-obama-ad-11508/812961/ he lied to Conan O’Brien.

  34. Putuk says:

WHO CARES if the finger is photoshopped?
    It’s funny!

  35. FC says:

    Dear America

You know he’s still got, like, two months to start World War III, right?

    Regards,

    the UK

  36. Edocsil says:

    Nice caption haha.

On a side note, I am all for jobs being brought back to the US. However, this means people need to be prepared for those companies that do bring it back to potentially show less profit for a while because, let’s face it, Americans cost more to employ in most cases.

Of course, some times I wonder at it all…. I mean, I have never visited anywhere in the US and not seen signs where people are hiring. Now, does this mean those jobs will provide health benefits and enough money to support a family and live comfortably? Not necessarily. But when people don’t work because they don’t want to take a low-paying job or whatever I get really steamed. If you have a family and you are refusing a job (that can end anytime you want!) because it pays too low… well, it certainly pays more than sitting on your butt.

    • Badger says:

      Not exactly.

I was laid off from a tech job a couple of years ago (me and my whole department, when they sent our jobs to Reynosa…). My unemployment compensation was 80% of what I’d been making. I got several job offers in the first few weeks for 60-70% of what I’d been making, and I didn’t take them, because sitting on my butt DID pay more. After a couple of months, I got a job paying the same amount I’d been making. Why should I have jumped at the first job offered to me, just because it paid more than nothing? I’d have lowered the amount of money I could demand for my work in the long run, which means I’d still, three and a half years later, be making less because my salary history would reflect, “Works cheap.”

Even if you’re not getting unemployment, it can be smarter to live on savings for a couple of months than to take a job where you’ll be supplementing your income with that savings for a couple of years. It seems counterintuitive, but taking a job for substantially less than you’re worth as an employee can result in years of career setback.

      • Edocsil says:

Then you were a fortunate example of it paying more. Though, I did not state it was that way every time, though I can see it was written in a way that could be interpreted that way.

I still stand by what I said though because I know many people that live off of unemployment compensation and don’t get a job because they are waiting for that ‘big one’.

  37. BuickGirl1986 says:

Bush rocks!! I am gonna miss him :( .

  38. The Ghost of Hunter Thompson says:

Truthfully, this has been his enduring, ongoing salute to the nation if not in such literal terms as in the picture, then couched, like a hidden message at the festering, diseased heart of every policy he has enacted during his time in office.

  39. Zapakh says:

I, for one, return the salute with enthusiasm.

  40. ---------- says:

this alcoholic coke-head of a “man” never had any class. Even if this is shopped, he never had any class.

  41. 1ns3ct says:

at first i saw this from a distance and thought it was real, too bad it’s shopped.
    still funny though

  42. The neo cons will cry over his departure! I am sure they would have given him at least the same support McBush got if he could have ran for a 3rd term!

  43. Meg says:

Right back at you, big guy.

  44. Anya says:

    He’s a dumbass.

  45. hopefloats51 says:

To Bush: The feeling is mutual!

  46. Harrisen says:

What a stupid bunch of people educated in our public schools. Wait til next year when The One sticks it to your parents are to you if your intelligent enough to get a job!

    • Danbala says:
