I finally started voting on the lolz, and I realize why they are usually so bad. While there are a TON of crappy ones that aren’t funny and yet still get voted on as awesome cause it bashes one party, but also because the pool is s***. Half of these aren’t even clever. This is sad.
I’ve mostly given up on this site. I was gonna tough it out but I realized about a month ago it was basically just a far-left circle jerk with no real humor value. I drop by now and then but really, whats the point? All the good independent folks who come to their own opinion on issues have been run off.

If you were around here longer, you’d know Lolnathan a little better than that. We independents are allowed dissenting opinions too, I hope you know. And for the record, I rightly agree with him. I just hang around for the honest discussions, mostly.
You have a good point there. In my defense, what he wrote today didn’t cast him in much of a centrist light. Like you, I enjoy honest discussions, as well.
If the site is currently left leaning (and it is), it is because currently most folks on the left are pretty moderate, while there are a fair number on the right who are walking cartoon characters. There are those on the left, as well, who spend a lot of their time as punchlines, lest ye forget Al Gore, Peta, Greenpeace, Clinton (Bill or Hillary, honestly, though probably more Hillary), Nader, so on and so on and so on.
I haven’t been here long enough to know Nathan or his views, but I think calling “cookie cutter joke” on my lolz here kinda misses the mark. Again, I’ve seen a lot of what is posted here, and I have seen a lot of repetition, but I can’t say I’ve seen a lot of Scooby Doo jokes. “Tubes” has been done, certainly, but the joke (while perhaps not the funniest joke ever told) is not a copy/paste of someone else’s. You know, as long as we want to have an honest discussion.

The fact of the matter is, to all rational beings, the right is far less give-and-take than the left. I don’t know how else to put it, but the left seems a lot more inclusive in this political climate, and the right seems to have spun its own exclusionary web.
