So you watch Fox News too, huh? Jk, I hate Fox News.

        • Xtasy says:

          Most Liberals hate opposing views.

          • x-bert says:

Spoken like a true opposing view hating Rep. :)

          • wundawomun says:

It has nothing to do with opposing views. It has to do with their unprofessionalism & hate mongering. I swear each one of them has to argue with whoever their guest is that has an opposing view to them. And then call their opposer crazy. It’s ridiculous.

Well, for me anyway. I can’t speak for anyone else hating Fox.

            • Xtasy says:

I have never seen another site as full of hate as this one- and all coming from the Liberals ! How do you people sleep at night? What a bunch of Trolls ! I’ll stick to kitties and leave you to you rself-righteous hate fest here.
              Troll on !

              • x-bert says:

                Troll ON!!!!

Fishing… You know, I should get a fishing permit and go fishing sometime. Might even get the fish that ate one of my batteries.

              • eddiepscetti says:

Wow, you have absolutely no idea what goes on here, do you? While there are opposing views and the debates do get a bit heated, I don’t sense any hate. What I do know is that the majority of the regular posters here are passionate about what they believe in. Is that so bad? Does that make a person hate filled? As a registered Republican, I can honestly say that I have been shown some respect for what I believe in and not been accused of hating. Neither have I accused (at least not that I can remember) the other side of hating.
                -
So yeah, go back to the kitteh’s where you don’t have to have a brain or an original thought.

                • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

I would have to say, the only hate I have noticed, is from the trolls…
The folks that show up, spout off at the mouth like they know something
then run away because they know if they had to defend their views, they’d
be buried in the mound of stupid that they brought in.
Us regulars would rather degenerate into a giant orgy than a hatefest…
                  I think most of us… actually…. LIKE each other…
Holy hell… did I just admit that out loud?
                  I LOVE YOU GUYS!

              • Josh says:

Xtasy – Stick to kitties, they’re cute, cuddly, easy to take care of. Us big boys with brains will handle the rest!

          • TurdFerguson says:

Wow everyone gets up in arms over this picture seriously it is the about the most mild of all…………..Plus it is right after all she is kind of a airhead.

  2. Error says:

Holy crap, I haven’t laughed this hard at a PK post since the Shiny Object one a few weeks ago. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

For those of you playing at home, Maverick!

  3. lozzy says:

I don’t like this woman or mccain but this just isn’t funny. It’s actually quite boring. Can we have some actuall lols. This is just going to turn into another whinge fest, theres nothing funny about it.

  4. n8 says:

Ha! I love it! Not only is the woman dumb, but she’s dangerous… to her own campaign! According to McCain staffers she’s “a diva” and out of control. She’s already preparing for the loss next week, planning to use it to position herself as “party savior” for 2012.
Good luck with that, is all I can say. I’m going to enjoy watching her get shredded in -that- primary!

  5. Mr. Obvious says:

LOL, It’s funny cause she’s so stupid.

    • Boo Kitty says:

No kiddin’! Just look at her college transcripts! If she were so smart, she would have gone to an Ivy League college, then on to Law School. Idaho? Yeah, that’s a real clever bunch up there. A degree in Journalism? What is that – a degree for someone who likes to write, but couldn’t make it as an English major?

      • cobrajoe says:

Well, she’s not just another laywer…

      • x-bert says:

Nope – Journalism – One of the few really good careers for former beauty queens – all you need is a pretty face and they park you behind that desk… oh, it helps if you can read a teleprompter too..

      • ck says:

A journalism major who couldn’t think of which newspapers she reads. Epic.

        • O_O… Before now, I hadn’t thought of that. Damn that is scary.

          • froofrou says:

This is my right wing nuttery coming out here, but I honestly believe that she was having to hold herself back a lot in that interview to appear less right wing, and she came off sounding stupid. She wasn’t able to be honest, therefore she had to really think about what she was saying instead of giving gut answers, and she came off as fake and vapid. A VP can’t go against the party leader, and her being so much more right leaning than McCain forces her to hold back her natural conservativeness (is that even a word?). I think the same applies to Obama when he stutters during non-telepromtered speeches (especially at the beginning and all the way up until the first debate). He’s not being completely honest, so he has to think about the answers he gives in order to give the ‘right’ answer.
            -
That’s a long way of saying that I think Sarah Palin knows good and well what newspapers she reads, but she had been told to keep her damn uber-conservative views caged up, and it forced her to act like an idiot. If she had been allowed to speak as she really thinks, she would come out as an uber-conservative, but at least she would come out as more honest and intelligent.

      • whatsinaname says:

Politics aside, why insult the population of a whole state? Certainly you are not suggesting that all idiots have gathered in one state. If that were true, Idaho would have a much larger population.

      • BattleCry says:

Wow, just wow…any excuse eh? In case you hadn’t noticed, all the losers we have in congress got their degrees from those same Ivy League schools. These are the same people that have created the current mess we are in, and by people, I mean Democrats and Republicans.

Keep yapping lap dog, keep yapping.

        PS…http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&contentId=A37397-2000Mar18

      • Leland Dantzler says:

Boo Kitty, that’s the worst logic ever. George W. Bush went to a freakin’ Ivy League School. I think it’d be safe to say you’re not about to ramble on concerning his utter brilliance.

Try thinking before you toss out insults.

        • asd3234sdfs4 says:

LOL!! he only got in to an ivy league school bc of connections, surely not intelligence & merit, kthx.

          • froofrou says:

Because that’s the ONLY way to get into an Ivy League school, don’tcha know *rolls eyes*

            • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

If you think a straight C student got into an Ivy League school because of
his merits Froofrou… well Im not going to finish. You cant honestly say that
              W. was Ivy League material.

              • froofrou says:

Curiosity…..didn’t Al Gore make pretty much the same grades?

              • Phaelin says:

Isn’t it kind of safe to say that you’re going to get people in the C to A range no matter what school you look at? Those are some damn hard schools, so I’d like to think that a C coming from an Ivy League school is something to be proud of.

  6. Heleanora says:

    I think this is hilarious.

    Flame on.

  7. hamjudo says:

The picture isn’t complete without the spew of her word salad.

  8. Cellie says:

    i don’t get it….

  9. AC says:

    Gutted!
    I can’t see this picture.
I’m at school & have nicked the teacher’s computer which blocks EVERYTHING humourous. :(
    Stinking P.C. censorship…..

  10. Darnity says:

Is it wrong of me that I really want to stick my dick in her holes?

  11. Rafiq of the many says:

Must be the sound of a brain fart.

  12. ohno says:

Where was the talk of her ‘ineptness’ as Governor? Was there any? Is it only after she comes on to the Federal scene that a *maybe more family oriented, wholesome* picture of American values, scared the social liberals into a freenzy? Then this picture of a successful family woman (which I thought was desirable in progressives/feminism) all of a sudden is the antithema of it all? Maybe if she aborted that last child, she would be more respectable to our cultures eyes?
Just asking. Cuz it seems the charicature of her grew and snowballed way before a fair assessment could even gain ground.
    Anyone else thought that?
    signed,
    just a wondering observation..

    • Seth says:

There was talk of her ineptness as Governer, but only in Alaska. Remember, Troopergate started way before she flounced onto the national stage. No liberals were ever scared by her, we knew America was not that crazy and our citizens would see right through her, which they did. The right wing has been drinking its own ‘all real Americans are conservative’ brand kool-aid, so they never realized how completely the real America would reject her.

      • froofrou says:

Ineptness as governor? She had like a 90% approval rating. And it amazes me the speed at which the Troopergate thing came to a head. When exactly did the investigation start?

        • Ceefax says:

“She had like a 90% approval rating.”

Because she bribed the Alaskan citizens with her socialist wealth spreading programme.

          • froofrou says:

I thought that was a good thing.

            • Ceefax says:

I thought it was a bad thing?

The point being that there is always wealth distribution. The only difference is who it’s distributed to.

              • froofrou says:

SO why exactly are we debating the evils of Palin if she’s just doing what the left wants anyway?

                • Ceefax says:

Except she’s not, is she? She’s only distributing the wealth to her kin and buddies up in her quaint little state without any consideration of who actually needs it.

As for doign what the left wants – oh, please, even if you take that one aspect of her views look at all the rest. Anti-Choice, thinks gays can be curesd scoffs at research backing evolution because she can’t or won’t understand it, stands opposed to seperation of church and state, why the hell would anyone on the left, centre or centre right of politics even give her the time of day?

                  • froofrou says:

I believe the deal about the oil profit checks was that it goes to every resident of Alaska. If she knows that many people personally, then we’ve got a different kind of politician on our hands. Otherwise, she’s just using the same type of thing that you guys are screaming about wanting from Obama.
                    -
As far as her policies, she’s a Reagan Republican, and that’s what they believe. Why is that so hard to take? She has a different belief system than you do, and even if she somehow did get to take over if McCain croaked his second day in, she’d never get to actually implement the policies she wants to implement because of the checks and balances of the system. Something that Obama WON’T have if he gets in, so he will basically have free reign until the Dems are voted out of the majority in Congress.
                    -
And I think you are grossly oversimplifying her views, but that’s your choice.

                    • Christine says:

The profit from the oil is in the state Constitution because it says that the people own the public land and are to share in the profits made off of it. Maybe Palin helped to enforce it, but it was not her idea.

                      • froofrou says:

Then once again, why are we constantly slagging her for it? You guys are killing me here! She’s evil because she’s a socialist. She’s evil because she didn’t come up with it first. She’s evil because her daughter managed to do something stupid and get pregnant. *sigh*

                        • ck says:

I don’t think she’s evil. I do think that she’s naive to downright ignorant of some issues (esp. science), polarizing to a point where even the McCain and Palin camps are divided, and did mediocre to poorly in interviews and the debate.

                        • Stone5150 says:

Nope, she is just evil, no other clarification is needed.

                        • froofrou says:

And because you can’t back up anything you say in the slightest, you’re an idiot (@Stone5150)

                    • Ceefax says:

What I mean is that she’s distributing it to people like her and used it cynically to increase her approval ratings rather than for the good of people who needed it. I can’t remember Regan being such a frothing religious extremist, but then maybe I was a bit young then.

As for “Why is that so hard to take?”

I know what her belief system is, I completely disagree with it. Why is that so hard for *you* to take? She’s a polarising and divisive character so a lot of people are going to have a lot of criticisms of her. Maybe you need to get over that.

                      • froofrou says:

From where I’m standing (admittedly a lot further right than you are), Obama is just as polarizing. As shown by poll numbers split exactly down the middle. Neither candidate has much to bring to the table aside from being able to whip the other side into a frothy mess trying to discredit everyone they don’t agree with.

                        • Ceefax says:

At least Obama hasn’t been accusing large swathes of America as not being “Real America”. And if you look at humankind as a whole, Obama is no-where near polarising, with people and politicians from all parts of the world and all sections of the political spectrum favouring him over McCain and Palin. All 3 main parties in the UK seem to the “In the tank” for Obama from where I’m sitting.

                        • Xtasy says:

No- he just staed that they cling to their guns and bibles in desperation.
                          Pretty polarizing to me.

                        • froofrou says:

I’m not looking at mankind as a whole simply because they can’t cast their ballots in a few days. It does no good to see what the rest of the world thinks of our president any more than we can look at who the new president of France is. We don’t have a say in that, so we can’t complain if he’s an idiot (I don’t know if he is, I’m just using an example). F’instance: I can’t bitch about the governor of, say, Indiana because I’m not from that state. Granted, the president is going to be dealing with countries all over the world, but that doesnt’ mean they should get a say in who they’re dealing with. It’s a like it or lump it proposition.

                        • froofrou says:

@ Ceefax: PK ate my post. It was a really good reply, so give it a second to show up :-)

                        • Ceefax says:

I’ll take your word for it – that’s me told ;)

As for Palin only being as polarising as Obama, she’s even divisive in her own party, never mind the country at large.

                        • Ceefax says:

I think looking at who the President of France and any other country is is absolutely crucial, as is considering the standing of our own countries and their leaders on the world stage. Not caring about such things is exactly the kind of pig-ignorant insular thinking which has caused the US and the world so many problems in the past.

                        • Ceefax says:

I can also say the President on the US is an idiot, whether or not I live there or not. The President of the United States is an idiot. There we go.

The irony is absolutely dripping if this comes from someone who supported Bush, who ran a policy of stomping around the world telling other countries and leaders what to do.

                    • Miner says:

It’s simple Froufrou. If they are female and Democrat-that’s good. If they are female and Republican-obviously they are evil. If they have a rich heiress for a wife and are Democrat- that’s good. The same but Republican- that’s evil.
If they help the poor but are Republican- that’s evil. If a Dem does it-that’s good. Ad nauseum.
It’s called the hate filled hypocrisy of the Left and there is no limit to it.

                      • Ceefax says:

Jesus Christ almighty, have you listened to yourself? Did you not see the mountains of sh*t that Kerry got over the Heinz stuff? Obama being painted as an evil socialist for his plans on helping the poor? Hillary being told that she wouldn’t be able to cope with the “Big mean boys” or Iran and Korea? You have the cheek to start accusing just the LEFT of hypocrisy?

The Republican campaign has been at another level of gutter politics this times round and they’re paying for it. Enjoy!

                      • Stone5150 says:

Nice argument, accuse others of what you are doing so that when they confront you on you own BS it seems ‘Fair and Balanced’

                    • mAlise says:

“And I think you are grossly oversimplifying her views, but thatโ€™s your choice.”
can’t help it; her views are gross & simple.

          • ema says:

I think they had that program already.

        • lowly grunt says:

          //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Public_Safety_Commissioner_dismissal#The_Political_Response_to_the_Dismissal_of_Public_Safety_Commissioner_Walter_Monegan

        • ^_^ says:

“She had like a 90% approval rating.”

LOLOL who do you think makes up these numbers? You really think it’s real people that are actually surveyed on what they think of her? Whoever spews information like that just makes up whatever sounds good at the time, depending on who they want it to benefit.

    • Ceefax says:

She’s an exact mirror image of Bush in terms of intelligence, arrogance and views and policies which swing from the laughable to the obscene. Why on earth did you think voters outside of Neo-Con evangelicals would like her any moer than they liked Dubya? Just because she’s a woman? How very patronising.

    • vervain says:

She’s also not remotely a feminist. Feminists don’t spit on the achievements of the feminist women who came before them by using the advantages they gained as a result of those struggles to take away other’s women’s rights.

    • ck says:

I don’t think a pregnant, underage daughter would generally be considered “wholesome”, certainly not by the religious types who try and dictate who is and isn’t morally wholesome.

      • froofrou says:

It;s not as if the pregnant, underage daughter was put out in the cold. She was loved and accepted in spite of her faults, which is one of the main teachings of Christianity. Love the sinner, not the sin.

        • ck says:

It’s not the response to the pregnancy, it’s that she got pregnant in the first place. Underage and not married. Find me any religious leader that would consider that wholesome.

          • froofrou says:

Once again, it’s not the action that’s considered wholesome, because teenagers will be stupid. It’s the reaction to the stupidity that makes them wholeseome.

            • ck says:

I can’t tell if you just don’t understand what I’m saying or if you’re trying to move the goalposts.

              • froofrou says:

I’m neither. It just irritates me when people try to portray people as evil, or not Christian based on the actions of a free-will holding teenager. Sure, that family has its problems. But I think that may be part of the ‘grassroots appeal’ that everyone keeps touting because apparently the ‘perfect Palin family’ has its problems too. I don’t agree with teen pregnancy, but I also don’t think it negates her ideas on birth control and abstinance. Bristol is a perfect example of it not working all the time, just like birth control of any kind doesn’t work all the time.

                • ck says:

And it irritates me when people have double standards and accept “immoral” acts because the “sinners” in question are on one side of the political fence, while they would have no problem bringing out the hell and brimstone bullshlt if said sinners were on the other side.

                • Ceefax says:

Abstinance only education doesn’t work full stop, it’s a childish and naive approach to the problem.

                  • ema says:

Bristol didn’t have abstinance only eduction.

                    • Ceefax says:

Then her mother is a hypocrite.

                      • ema says:

No, she doesn’t believe in abstinence only education, that is a myth.

                        • Ceefax says:

                          What, someone forged her handwriting?

“In that same 2006 questionnaire, the soon-to-be governor said she would fund abstinence-only education programs in schools. “The explicit sex-ed programs,” she added, “will not find my support.”

The entire LA times article attached. Here is a quote: “No, I’m pro-contraception, and I think kids who may not hear about it at home should hear about it in other avenues. So I am not anti-contraception. But, yeah, abstinence is another alternative that should be discussed with kids. I don’t have a problem with that. That doesn’t scare me, so it’s something I would support also.”

                        • ema says:

You may need to read something other than Huffington…

                        • Ceefax says:

Are you trying to say that the quote in that article is fabricated? Because I can find you other sources other than the HP if you’d like. If Sarah Ppalin is saying that she will not support it through legislation and then allowing her daughter to have explicit sex education AND paying lip service to it later on then yes, I think she’s the worst kind of hypocrite. Did you post that piece of flip-flopping double-speak thinking that it actually made her look better or have you finally joined the winning team?

                        • ema says:

What the F are you talking about? Did you read the article I posted? She says in her own words she does not oppose the teaching of the use of contraception. What more do you want? See this is why I don’t go runing around all over the internet for proof for you guys! It’s never accepted anyway and it’s a waste of my time!

                        • Ceefax says:

I’d like her to back it up! Saying one thing in the media and legislating another is not a virtue!

Have you actually read the whole of the article, which is seemingly written expressly to highlight the mixed messages and contradictory positions in the McCain/Palin ticket on this issue?

                        • ema says:

I think the missunderstanding comes from the fact that she supports teaching abstinence as a method of birth control IN ADDITION to condoms and other methods, they can be taught together.

                        • asd3234sdfs4 says:

oh so she doesn’t oppose the teaching of contraceptive usage but she will only FUND abstinence only education? talk about counterproductive..

                        • ema says:

*SIGH* Do I have to copy the entire article over here:
‘Palin wrote, “Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support.”

But in August of that year, Palin was asked during a KTOO radio debate if “explicit” programs include those that discuss condoms. Palin said no and called discussions of condoms “relatively benign.”‘
What she calls “explicit” obviously does NOT include condoms.

                        • Ceefax says:

“Do I have to copy the entire article over here”

You obviously won’t, because the article you cited makes her look like an absolute idiot.

                        • ema says:

Of course you have already decided that.

                        • Ceefax says:

The headline of the article might have given you a cluel

                        • ema says:

The headline doesn’t make her look like an idiot, I don’t get that at all. But you already think she is an idiot, so it wouldn’t matter what the article said.

                        • Christine says:

I think the real problem is that the US Department of Education, since the Bush Administration, has labeled any sex education beyond abstinence only as explicit sex education is the real problem. Palin’s idea of “explicit” is different than te definition that has been put forth by the USDoE.

                • Stone5150 says:

If she were poor and black, it would a terrible tragedy and failure of everyone involved, because she is white and rich, it is a blessed event.

            • ohno says:

correct. the issue is response to mistakes- not the mistake. We all make them, yes, even while striving for that *wholesome* standard of life.
I find more people villifying her/the daughter because people see this “hypocrisy” over this sex matter, but yet all these crooks on the public stage almost get the free pass.
The closest person I’ve seen as late for squeeky clean and consistent “wholesomeness” are Ron Paul and possibly the past Governor of New Mexico, chriminey, brian fart, I can’t think of his name… known for riding his bike for miles and picking up trash… for years…

And look what our sold out media whores did to limit Ron’s message and appeal to the people.

              • ck says:

Good gods no, the majority of people who hold high levels of power have been corrupted by said power, some worse than others. That doesn’t excuse the religious right brushing Palin’s family problems under the table with a pat on the head when you know full well they’d be sitting on their high horses smug or screaming if if was Obama’s family instead.

                • froofrou says:

I still haven’t seen any skits accusing Obama of having an incestual relationship with either of his daughters.
                  -
Media bias? Different treatment of the candidates? Nah.

                  • Lynn Nexus says:

Alaska is known for incest and rape. Wouldn’t make as much sense.

                    • froofrou says:

Ok, so if we’re going with stereotypes here, what about a skit where Obama is a drug dealer who pimps out his young daughters and his wife while wearing a fur trimmed, floor length coat and a hat with a feather in it?

          • PortlandMark says:

Especially since she wouldn’t *be* pregnant before marriage if Mother Palin would have just explained the importance of using proper contraceptives. THat whole “just don’t do it” thing hasn’t worked in 4000 years of recorded human history, why do people think we just need to try it for one more generation to get it right?

            • sally says:

The teen pregnancy rate in Texas is ridiculous…

              (mumble something about dinosaurs…)

            • dissimilitude says:

Neither you nor I knows exactly what Sarah Palin told Bristol regarding
sex, contraception, and/or abstinence. Plenty of parents who have told
their kids “I’d rather you waited, but if you don’t, tell me and we’ll get you
on the pill” or “I’d rather you waited, but if you don’t, here’s a box of
condoms” have ended up with pregnant teenagers anyway.

              • asd3234sdfs4 says:

palin approves of abstinence ONLY so you KNOW that’s ALL she’s ever said to her daughter.

                • dissimilitude says:

A lot of people, possibly including Palin, think that sex is a matter that
should be discussed with kids at home rather than taught in schools
because of the emotional/moral/ethical issues that come along with the biological
issues involved. The fact that she’s advocated teaching abstinence in schools
doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t be more in-depth at home, or that she doesn’t
                  think other parents should be.

Personally I’m in favor of making sure they get all the biological
basics of reproduction, contraception, std’s, etc. at school just in case they
don’t learn it at home, but I don’t think that absolves parents from their
responsibility to discuss sex with their kids.

                • froofrou says:

Because you have lived in her house for the entire time she’s had children and know this for a fact, right? Grow up.

Why wait for her ineptness as governor. Lets go back to when she ran a city of four to six thousand that had never had a budget deficit. When she was done with the place, it was 22 million in the hole. Quite a bit for a tiny town. Yes, lets take her tactics national!

Hmmmm. Obama just went to Hawaii and suddenly the Governor of Hawaii seals Obama’s birth certificate so no one can see it. Coincidence? Nor has Obama given a single open press conference since he spoke to “Joe the Plumber”. He’s running scared !

    • glorious_day says:

first post ever, had to say something…

this morning i got into my car at 6:50am, turned on the radio, and heard a voice that sounded very much like that of obama. i thought surely this is an ad, but come to find out he was giving an interview to a local radio station (i’m in texas). i found this extraordinary, and wondered if mccain was going to be on next.

the dj’s actually lamented the fact that mccain had repeatedly denied their requests to have him on their show (5 minute interview, with caller questions added). minutes after this lamentation of not getting to interview the other side of the camp, a lady called in complaining the show was “slanted” and she would no longer listen because they only gave obama air time. apparently, she has selective hearing. her man just simply refused to show up.

interesting point: another woman called in who related that that interview pulled her over to the obama camp, because in a few short examples he described what he would *like* to do for normal, average, everyday people like her (she said she’s a middle class mother, wife, and high school government teacher), and it bothered her that all she heard was rhetoric, but no real explicit plan, from the mccain camp.

it was all very interesting, as well as, for the most part, refreshingly civil and rational.

  16. Trainwreck Chaser says:

    Wow…..creative.

  17. mzspell says:

If you can come up with captions that are clever or witty, I’m all for making fun of pretty much anyone, but if it just comes down to petty name-calling, it’s not worth the time to check out the blog – the cats ARE funnier (and so are the dogs.

I’m not a Palin fan, but that’s based on her policies and stance on issues. I think referring to her as dumb isn’t funny, but more importantly, it’s dangerous because she isn’t stupid, and putting her down as an airhead means you aren’t taking her seriously. Some people like her, they like what she appears to represent, and they will vote for the McCain/Palin ticket because of the Palin half – don’t misguide yourselves into thinking that because you disagree with her, or because she’s been uninformed in interviews, that she is dumb and therefore not a threat. She’s proven she’s a savvy politician and good at reading people…and those traits will take her far.

  18. Evertide says:

*reads the comments* Today we learn that stereotypes exist for a reason: THEY ARE ALL TRUE.

  19. DD says:

The LOL was amusing. Reminding me of the old joke – picture someone flapping their hands on each side of their head at a furious rate – an airhead refueling.

But, I get more amusement from the comments. Following the line of thought has been an interesting exercise in my efforts to stave off chemo-brain.
