Because Majorca is occu…visited by many, many Germans (see also “Der König von Mallorca” and “Ballermann 6″).

And Bavaria…well, in the German edition of “Kentucky Fried Movie”, the lines
“These are the Hartz Mountains of Asia. A terrain so rugged, so treacherous, no country will claim it.”
“Worse then Detroit?”
“I’m afraid so.”
were replaced by the line
“A country worser than Bavaria”…maybe you get the drift.

“Gott mit Uns” has been the motto of the roal house of Hohenzollern- the Prussian kings and German emperors since before Frederick the Great. It became the motto of the Prussian army over 200 years before the Nazis appeared, was subsequently taken over by the imperial German armed forces and was one of the means by which the Nazis tried to appease the old elite and conservatives by trying to convince them that they were the rightful sucessor of Imperial Germany.

Humbled? No. Pleased? Yes. Christianity is a religion tailor-made to control slaves
It teaches people to act passively and accept their lot in life. They are reassured that however bad life seems to be, it should simply be endured because it will be much better after they die, as long as they follow the rules. It is not the opiate of the masses, it is the sedative. Converting their African slaves to Christianity was an incredibly effective means of control. It baffles me that so many African-Americans still embrace the religion that was used to enslave the minds of their ancestors.
While there were certainly Christian abolitionists, Christian teachings were also used to justify slavery.

Now THAT is actually the “East”-German (aka. as GDR) flag. So I wouldn’t say this pic has to be that old since it’s the actual german nationalflag with the coat of arms on it.

The Nazis were not religous after all. But they used it to manipulate
people. Hitler and the other highranked Nazis like Goebbels were atheists.
Also they used old German stuff, like Oldgerman runes for the SchutzStaffel (SS)
The “S” were actually the Sig-Rune from the old Germans.

There was slavery all over the world in all cultures and civilizations, Arab, African, Jewish, Native American, everywhere. It was a world wide problem and still is in some areas.
