    I hate when that happens.

    • minerva146 says:

Do you think the guy in the news van did the papering to get some good pics for a story?

      • Evil Pundit says:

Probably not. Too much work involved climbing up the tree.

Though the media are quite happy to make up stories when they just have to write something that’s fake.

        • minerva146 says:

No, that’s just Fox News. Though I could understand why you’d think that since no other media exists on your little happy planet.

          • Evil Pundit says:

Nope, it’s all the media who support Obama. Like this one (link under name).

SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.

The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Obama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him.”

News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story.

Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment.

“I was baffled,” he said after reading the report in Wednesday’s Times-Tribune.

He said the agency conducted an investigation Wednesday, after seeing the story, and could not find one person to corroborate the allegation other than Singleton.

Slavoski said more than 20 non-security agents were interviewed Wednesday, from news media to ordinary citizens in attendance at the rally for the Republican vice presidential candidate held at the Riverfront Sports Complex. He said Singleton was the only one to say he heard someone yell “kill him.”

“We have yet to find someone to back up the story,” Slavoski said. “We had people all over and we have yet to find anyone who said they heard it.”

            • DW says:

You are such a loser, EP.

              • Evil Pundit says:

The loser is Obama, who can only get ahead if the media covers for him, and even makes up stories to attack the other candidates.

                • scum-bot says:

                  like what for instance?

                  • Evil Pundit says:

Like the one I posted above, where a reporter made up a story about someone shouting “kill him!” at a rally.

Obama cited that story in last night’s debate, but it was clearly a fake as the Secret Service investigated and couldn’t find anyone else who heard it.

                    • Ceefax says:

Can you hear it here? (click my name)

                      • minerva146 says:

Yes, I heard the sound byte of the one that shouted “Terrorist” as well.

                      • Evil Pundit says:

                        Active imagination you got, there.

                      • Evil Pundit says:

By the way, the story I posted was about a different rally, which McCain didn’t even attend.

                        • So it has absolutely no bearing on the conversation being had. Awesome, so nice of you to be an idiot.

                        • minerva146 says:

So refusing to listen to real bits of these rallys where people have have really shouted these things is equivalent to sticking your fingers in your ears and saying “lalalala I can’t hear you!!1!!!111″

Still doesn’t make it less true.

                        • minerva146 says:

Hmm. Not surprisingly, being called on the ignorant and childish behavior elicits no response from crazy bot.

                        • rick says:

                          Crazy bot is crazy.

                        • Evil Pundit says:

I listened to the clips. Your claims are false.

                        • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

Your logic is false, and that article is sad. Think of it this way.
You’re at that rally and YOU’RE the guy who yelled “kill him”
and shortly after the rally the SECRET SERVICE starts questioning
folks about what you said? Do you think you’d “be found to
corroborate the story”? No one even wants to say they know
anything when it comes to threatening a presidential candidate.
especially not by the guys who could be protecting him in the
                          future.
Just give up EP. Please? Im asking nicely, we’re all tired of laughing
at you, and we’d really like you to go outside and discover reality
for the beautiful existence that it is. Just… give it up.

                      • lowly grunt says:

I heard terrorist but not kill him.

I saw the news story EP cites the other day ( I think it was a link from HuffPo) and read that only the reporter heard someone yell kill him.

It doesn’t necessarily mean the reporter was making something up; he reported what he thought he heard. Now, is he actually bringing a “fact” forward because he is malicious or because he is frightened by what was going on around him?

I think the difference is important. If someone is in an inhospitable environment and thinks they hear something threatening, they hear something threatening even if it was nothing.

I am glad the Secret Service took that report seriously and thoroughly investigated the allegation. Makes me feel better.

              • deviousgirl says:

                indeed…

            • Kelto says:

Either way, they still call him a terrorist and and still believe he’s an “arab”. It’s ignorance and there’s no excuse. In any case, just the fact that they say he’s muslim shows their hatred for other religions that have been given a bad name by radicals (Much like Christianity). Whether or not they said “kill him”, their ignorance still stands.

And before you jump to the conclusion I must be some biased liberal, or something i must tell you i’m an independant.

              • DW says:

But Kelto, to EP you MUST be a pinko commie liburul if you support Obama!

              • Evil Pundit says:

                Who’s “they”?

                • Kelto says:

Many supporters at Mccain’s rallies. Though I don’t hold him responsible for this. It’s not his fault that this happened, but I do think Palin is going too far.

                  • Evil Pundit says:

Palin is going too far by telling the truth about Obama’s connections to terrorists like Bill Ayers, and voting fraudsters like ACORN?

I can understand why Obama supporters would feel uncomfortable. But it’s the truth.

                    • scum-bot says:

So because Obama hung out with a former domestic terrorist as a little kid it instantly makes him a terrorist? It’s funny since conservatives say all people want to do is smear McCain yet here they are smearing Obama. You can’t get by an election without throwing mud.

                      • Actually he didn’t hang out with him as a little kid. He hung out with him way later. The acts were committed when he was a kid.

                      • Evil Pundit says:

Obama worked closely with Bill Ayers as an adult, for over a decade. He knew all about Ayers’ history, and still chose to associate with him.

                        • Kelto says:

As did some Republicans on the same board, but no one is accusing them of anything.

                        • minerva146 says:

Chicago made him Citizen of the Year one year. Does that mean the whole city is a terrorist base?

                        • rick says:

McCain worked closely with Karl Rove as an adult. He knew all about Rove’s history, and still chose to associate with him.
McCain worked closely with Charles Keating as an adult. He knew all about Keating’s history, and still chose to associate with him.
McCain worked closely with G. Gordon Liddy as an adult. He knew all about Liddy’s history, and still chose to associate with him.

                        • minerva146 says:

That’s irrelevant based on the I’m rubber, you’re glue strategy. ;)

                        • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

And the “Repeat part of the debate point as a question, then toss
                          out a liberal centric insult.”
EP, could you stop the merry-go-round?
Im starting to get sick from all the spinning.

                    • Kelto says:

Look, I’ve had to work at school with real jerks. They vandalize the school, they call me and my friends names. But to get our homework done, sometimes i need to work with them to get it done. We disagree with each other’s views, but we still work to accomplish a common goal, as many others do. Now because i work with him to get the job done, does that make me in league with what he does? The name calling, the vandalizing, and all that. Does that make me a jerk, too? Is that fair?

This is why i consider this whole “guilt by association” thing ridiculous. They worked on a board together, and yes, Barack visited him in his home with other people. But I don’t think that qualifies him as terrorist or being”In league” with them.

                      • Evil Pundit says:

Obama didn’t just visit Ayers’ home, he launched his political career in Ayers’ living room.

This was no casual association, nor was it one in which he had no choice. Obama chose to work closely with Ayers, of his own free will and with knowledge of what Ayers had done.

                        • Kelto says:

So? He acknowleges what Ayers has done, acknowleges that Ayers was unremorseful for what he had done and decided to work with him. That doesn’t mean they share the same ideas about this country. The assumption that he does (and that’s what it is, an assumption) is calling him guilty without knowing all of the facts.

anyway, it seems you missed the entire point of my analogy.

                        • Evil Pundit says:

No, it means that Obama is unconcerned by leftist views so extreme they amount to actual terrorist acts against the community.

Together with Obama’s association with the criminal slumlord Tony Rezko, the race-baiting preacher Jeremiah Wright, and the election fraud group ACORN, they paint a picture of Obama’s character and beliefs.

                          It’s not a pretty one.

                        • minerva146 says:

You’re like a cartoon character. I think Seth said…”You’ve sunk to the depths of self parody.”

                        • Kelto says:

The same could easily be said about Mccain and his associates. We’ve been through the Jeremiah Wright issue already and Mccain himself said that it wasn’t an issue to be discussed. In any case, do you seriously think the government which has been about self preservation for quite a while, would allow someone portrayed as such a dangerous man to become president? And without investigations and background checks would go undone? I think that if there was seriously any possible association between Obama and terrorist groups, or election rigging, or anything the government would have done something about it.

                        • minerva146 says:

Exactly right. He would never have been vetted and made eligible for State Senate, let alone anything else.

                        • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

                          Dear Evil Pundit,
You’re the reason we’re getting a bad rap.
                          Go away. Thanks.

                          Kindest Regards,
                          The American Public

                        • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

I believe Ive already previously stated that IF Obama was a
terrorist, was committing voter fraud and such, it would only
be proof that we’re losing the war on terror.

                        • i_tego_arcana_dei says:

and sarah palin was blessed by a pastor who was a self-proclaimed witch-hunter from africa.

doese that make her crazy? no. does it implicate sara palin in all the crimes committed against innocent women in small african villiages where this pastor “drove out the devil”? no.

do i still dislike her? yes, because i disagree with her policies and her beliefs, not because of her brief associations. EP, if you’re gonna argue against obama, at least use your logical thinking. wait nevermind, i’m beginning to think you have none.

                        • Ignatz says:

You keep going on about Obama’s connections to Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright. Any thoughts about Sarah Palin’s close ties to AIP chairman Mark Chryson, or McCain’s friendships with Charles “S&L bailout” Keating and G. Gordon Liddy? (Liddy advocated shooting FBI agents in the head, and did time for the Watergate breakins.) Anything? Anything? *crickets*

            • Ceefax says:

*face palm* There were CAMERAS at these events, why don’t you actually look at the recordings and here someone shout “Kill Him” for yourself?

        • Seth says:

Um, who climbs up a tree to TP it? Don’t you just, you know, toss the TP over the tree?

          • minerva146 says:

I think that just proves that EP is actually only about 13 and has no friends who might have instigated his pure-as-the-driven-snow conscience into vandalism. He apparently never saw anyone else do it either, otherwise he would have turnned them in to the principal.

            • Thor says:

If you cannot refute what EP shows you- just call him a “PoopyHead”?

              • minerva146 says:

Um, he has been refuted on several accounts and on quite a lot of different issues. He never brings any sources except the voices in his head and neo-con blogs, which he tries to pass off as legitimate journalism and fact. There is video and audio evidence that this happened. Furthermore, McCain himself removed the microphone from a woman getting onto this kind of ridiculous tangent when she tried to say Obama is an Arab. McCain refuted this and said Obama is a “decent, family man.” Most people ave given up trying to reason with EP because he is a bot that spouts Rush Limbaugh hate speech. And apparently, he now has sunk to the level of “la la la, neener neener neener.” It’s not worth trying to talk to someone with this type of childish mentality, so why bother. When people are capable of reasoned debate, discussions occur. Just not worth it anymore with EP because he refuses to apply reason.

              • ck says:

                LOL, troll apologists.

                • Thor says:

Reminds me of the View- four fat old liberals shouting
down the single sane voice on the show.( Really should be The Only View)

        • DW says:

Yeah, they made up McCain’s debate win last night.

  2. Kit says:

So the odd question that has to be asked…. if there is wide spread flooding with this hurricane, does Charmin’s ultra absorbancy neutralize it out?

  3. Foamer says:

I suspect this is the house that was being TP’d when the homeowner came out and shot one of the kids doing it. He apparently believed someone was trying to break into his house.
    Chicago Tribune Story

Let that be a lesson to you – only TP the houses of cute girls you know… who’s fathers do not own shotguns.

    • ice_army says:

H! I read the story, an it’s still funny. Stupid kid almost won the Darwim award- maybe he’ll try harder next time. And, is it just me, but why would any parent allow their 14 yr old out at 1am, on a school night? And there were 4 of them…. Parenting fail, anyone?

    • dissimilitude says:

      Well, damn. That’s depressing.

  4. Foamer says:

Well – I lost that comment, I think.

Anyway, what it said was that I believe this to be the house of the guy who shot a kid who was TP’ing his house.
    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-ap-mi-odd-toiletpaperpr,0,5190255.story

    • hypersmash says:

No, I live a few blocks away from this house actually. I’m pretty sure I would have heard/known about someone getting shot.

  5. Thor says:

Must have been a conservative kid TPing an Obama supporters house- you know how indignant and self righteous they get .

    • DW says:

      Srsly – just like you.

    • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

Because, it had to be about politics, clearly. Nevermind the fact that a kid got shot
because someone was being unobservant and apprehensive with a lethal weapon.
You could try to find a LESS saddening incident to try to insert your partisan hate speech. You’re just as sickening as the “Little Suzy” person.

      • minerva146 says:

I think EP was crying about the responses he got to his craziness today and has reincarnated himself. Sadly, he chose the name of a god that was a champion of the people, which I think would now make him a Democrat.

  6. V. Henry says:

When did we have Hurricanes in the Bay Area? That is a San Francisco News Van! Some Queen got REAL mad!
