I GO TO THAT SCHOOL.

that round building is Smith Hall.. the building the car is parked in front of is Kirkman Hall.

campus police at my school are off duty state policeman looking to make extra money. in this instance… it was a prank played on them.

Not possible. The State Police have jurisdiction over all lower law enforcement in the State. Campus Police are subordinate to them. So, all they would have to do is order them to remove the boots or arrest them for impeding an officer of the law.

It’s moot since it’s fake, but should it happen, it all depends on the sense of humor of the State Police.

It says a lot for the behaviour of the students if they need to have a full time police service within the grounds. Here in the UK we have basic security guards, and quite often that’s just to stop people getting in.
You only have yourselves, or your predecessors to blame for this situation.

it is McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA. the police are not rent-a-cops, they are considered equal to the state police. and they walked

Dude, you get a ticket, you pay the ticket.. whether you can write your name
or not. I’m from Pasadena, Texas. It’s not screwed up, that’s how it works.
Everywhere.
Learn to spell your racial slurs.
And use the spacebar.
And the Shift key.
And use basic grammar such as pronoun consistency (everyone
has Their own, not its own, etc.) as well as punctuation.
And that you pay liability insurance so that when you hit me and
it’s your fault, I don’t get screwed over.

those tickets they mail u dont have to pay its not legal yet u have to sign a ticket and on it the ticket says u promisse to pay the fine atleast in southtexas i dont know about all the other states everyone has its own screwed up laws made to keep people pumping money into the system its all a bunch of crap like with the insurance, what u want me to pay for liability so some boarder jumper can smash into my car and i get screwed and he walks screw that

OMG!!!! I agree! This is my alma mater, McNeese State University, in Lake Charles, LA. I should know. I practically lived in that bldg. — the truck is in front of Kaufman Hall. There’s a semi-circle drive I got ticketed in once or twice when late for class. The bldg. on the L is a small round bldg – Smith Hall – cashiers & fin. aid & such, at least when I was there. ROFL!!!!!!!!
Though much funnier if the campus cops had been the ones booted — they were jerks.

In my case the bus took us from the commuter lot a half a mile from the Ag building and dropped us next to the music building……a half a mile away from the Ag building I was walking for at least half of my time in college. I ended up getting to school (like you said) about two hours early and sleeping until my first class at 8AM. And when you live almost 45 minutes away from the school and your parents or your student loans can’t afford campus living, then that means getting up at 5 every morning just to make it to a decent parking spot I got so many parking tickets on the days I was running late that my diploma got held for a few months until I paid them off *blush*

Well, yellow means ‘if you can stop, stop’. And if you’re behind someone coming up to a yellow light, you should be aware that they _are_ in front of you. I don’t agree with the lights turning faster, but I’m all for extra eyes on the road – too many idiots driving nowadays (they’re raising the requirements for teenage drivers in Indiana, too, so yay that).

Seriously. TAPS are a bunch of jerks, and the parking gets worse every
year. I can’t believe how quick they are to ticket. I was parked in a
spot once near my on-campus apartment, ran in to grab a jacket and
a drink, came out and was ticketed. Ninjas! Worst of all my neighbor
always parked in the 15 minute zone, so I never had that chance…

If this ever did happen the person who booted the vehicle would not only lose their job but be arrested.

Yeah… I’m an alumni and no longer a student. I regularly park in visitors parking. I’ve even showed the campus police my diploma and talked to thier supervisors to try and find out why I keep getting tickets, but they still try ticketing me. Admittedly, they’ve dropped every one they’ve tried giving me, but four in a three month period is unnerving, and the long walk to campus security is annoying.

Here, they found that while the occurence of T-Bone accidents decreased from the cameras, the number of rear end collisions skyrocketed from people slamming on the brakes to avoid running the light. So the total number of accidents actually increased !

They had some problems too with the lights being set to change to red too quickly after turning yellow in order to artificially force a red-light-run.

From what I remember, there was a problem with the cameras and a lot of
people were getting tickets for making small movements while stopped at a red light (like rolling forward a bit while you are stopped and waiting for the light to change). As a result, many people who did not actually run a the light received tickets. Too bad it is flawed because it really is a great idea!
