And guess what else? If not for human nature, socialism and communism would be really good things. If people weren’t super greedy, and these concepts could work, then we would be alot better off. True communism and socialism make it so that no one is poor, and no one has power over other people. Everything is done by consensus, like in democracy, just with less stupid politics.

Of course, due to natural human greed for money and power, and ignorant fools like you, such concepts don’t work. SO THERE

Bail out that the republicans tried to prevent several times, but the
Democrates had to go with that stupid subprime lending and lets
give everyone a loan. Even those that can’t afford it and will default
on their payments and eventually file for bankruptcy.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want a Republican in office, in the beginning
I was all for Obama, I was brainwashed like everyone else, however,
getting down and really digging into what he stands for. He is a socialist

Like the fall of the Berlin Wall did for authoritarian communism, this crisis proves the ideology of pure free market, deregulated capitalism is broken. So you can rightly assume that the bailout will just be another fiasco. I initially thought the plan had merit, but have since reconsidered. This is going to prove to be a catasrophy of epic proportions. In fact, California is already saying they will need $7 billion to help shore up it’s defict and other states are sure to follow.

For those that don’t want to click, here ya go:

The culprits in all of this are the executives and board members of Fannie Mae for buying unsecured and risky loans, the Federal Reserve for putting up interest rates too far and too quickly, and the banks for what almost amounts to pyramid selling of bad debt based on fools’ mortgages. Fannie Mae’s structural flaws were an accident waiting tohappen.

But there is another culprit. The Clinton administration, in pressuring Fannie Mae, created the policy of lending initially good and then bad money to people who were themselves bad credit risks. This was done for good political – not to say politically correct – reasons: the targeted extension of home ownership to minority groups. But this social engineering has been achieved at a heavy cost, not least to those who have lost their houses and taxpayers who may now have to pick up the cost of an emergency package. People awarded such loans may well be forgiven for thinking they are now worse off than they were in 1999.

The lesson of all of this is not that Wall Street is greedy, nor even that banks should be limited in onselling debt, although periodically this is true. The main lesson is that banking and credit should be run on sound banking principles rather than as a political project. For where politicians become involved in banking, as in the case of the Democrats and Fannie Mae, only incompetence, pork-barrelling and corruption will follow.

If a person has a lot of money, hiding some for retirement or whatever isn’t going to be a big deal to them. They still have a lot of money, but now they’re building even more by investing it where no one can touch it.
People who acquire large sums of money are (usually) capable of choosing when and where is a wise time to spend it. The neccessities would be covered first and the extraneous stuff would be cut back on. Extraneous things are things like salaries, consumer goods and services that aren’t *needs*, etc. When those are cut, especially with large sums of oney involved, it’s the people that got fired and the folks unable to sell their wares/services that get hurt.
The money that’s out of the money supply *should* help keep inflation down, but to keep enough in circulation they print more and it causes inflation. 8/

The millionaire that you are has grown accustomed to the lifestyle that $750 a week gives. You are going to find it easier to drop to $500 than $250.

I can perhaps see some more merit in the numbers when they get unrealistically big, rather than unrealistically small. But even so, if you earn $1,000,000 a week, you are quite possibly accustomed to a lifestyle that $250,000 (Net) may not be enough.

Also the money that you are no longer paying tax on, is also out of the effective money supply, keeping down inflation.

Here’s a hypothetical:
Say I’m a millionaire, I’m not working to earn an income, all my money is coming from investments. Say (at random) I have $1000 a month to throw around (not a realistic number, just going for easy math here). The tax rate will say is at 25%, so I’m paying $250 in taxes (because you only pay on *income* – my millions are untouchable and for teh example we’ll just say they’re sheltered away somewhere). You cry “That’s not fair! You’re not paying your fair share!” and the Obama Money Fairy floats down and increases my taxes to 50%.
Now my income hasn’t changed, it’s still $1000. I take half of that and put it in a tax-free fund (like an IRA or something). So now I’m *still* only gonna pay 50% of my taxable earnings (the $500 that’s left) so I’m not paying a dime more than I was at $250. But I only have $250 dollars play money instead of $750 to throw around, so I’ll not be going to McDonald’s as much, or hiring a new guy to cut the lawn or whatever.
Therefore, you attempted to make me pay “my fair share”, and instead cut the profits of McDonald’s and snubbed some poor guy that’s gotta find a lawnmowing job elsewhere. Nice goin’, jerks. Picking on the little guy like that who you’re supposed to care so much for.

If people want to help the poor then cut taxes on the rich so they can hire the poor and redistribute their own wealth in a mutually beneficial manner instead of trying to play Robin Hood.
