Except graduate from Harvard Law School(Magna Cum Laude), create a voter registration drive that registered 150,000 new voters, spent 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spent 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, became chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spent 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees.
I guess that would only be significant if he were Republican, huh?

Obama only graduated as an Affirmative Action student. His ability to create false voter registrations is useful for Democrats, but bad for democracy. In the State Senate he did nothing but vote “Present”, and in the US Senate he did nothing but campaign for President.

well, he went to military academy, which is kinda like college. but he doesn’t have any degrees in anything.
Not to stir the pot (honestly!!!!), but I wish that at least one person from Obama’s teaching days would come forward about him, good or bad. There isn’t anything there. The editor’s job he had at the Harvard Law Review didn’t accomplish him much, because he never published anything. And the voter registration drive that he worked for (ACORN) is known for registering dead people and others not eligible to vote. Graduating from Harvard is a good thing, but it does place him up there with the Ivy League elites, not with the common man as he likes to claim. I can’t honestly give you a reference on this because I’m at work and don’t really have the time to look it up, but aren’t there several of those committees that he chairs that haven’t even met since he took them over?

Well for the Harvard graduate part, you need to check the fact that he got student loans to get into it then paid them off only recently. That doesn’t sound elite to me.

I applaud him for going to Harvard. But not very many people do that. Whether that makes him an elite, lucky, or just that damn good remains to be seen. I really really really want to hear from some of his former students and colleagues from his teaching days, be it good or bad.
Well Harvard does have a reputation to uphold. You just don’t get to waddle through and graduate without being good. Hell, they won’t even let you in there if you are too mediocre.
As for being more elite than the people we know, is that really bad on him? I would love to see somebody smarter than most the people I know in office. Hell having one of the boys in there didn’t seem like such a great idea in afterthought.
It irritates me that he portrays himself as a man of the people. If you’re an elite, go with that! If you really know better, go with that! Don’t try to put yourself on my level when you aren’t really there and haven’t really ever been there.

Well if I had the stuff to go to Harvard and turn that degree into money, I wouldn’t have been hurting so bad either. There was people who managed to fight enough to pull ahead. It isn’t like Palin or McCain were hurting either.

Actually he attended the US Naval Academy. The Military Academy graduates soldiers, not sailors. Both are excellent schools, among the best. Having said that, many outstanding Americans have achieved their great potential due to Affirmative Action, such as General Colin Powell, SECSTATE Condoleezza Rice and many others.
But would you admit to there being a world of difference between Magna Cum Laude and 5th from the bottom?

You are REALLY a wast of space. Every graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Senator McCain’s Alma Mater, graduates with a bachelor’s (of science) degree. His graduating as low as he did in his class is largely due to the demerits he recieved while attending the school. The Naval Academy issues demerits because we believe in discipline, unlike that hippie infested yank school Obama lucked into. He then attended the National War College, but earned no degree there.

If you really are a Naval Acad grad, you will recognize that all schools have their place, and not only did Barak Obama graduate from an Ivy League School, but so did an unbelievable percentage of national leaders, both liberal and conservative, including both Presidents Bush. Ain’t nothing wrong with any school, if you want to learn, you listen, analyze then decide.

Unfortunatley, I never got any executive experience. Hell, even the Governor of Alaska, as much of a n00b as she is, has more executive experience than I do. And I never was actually a constitutional law professor. I was a guest lecturer. But that is just the constitution. I stopped lecturing on it because I and the rest of the Washington politicians do not really adhere to it all that much. I want to gut the part about owning guns and the republicans want to gut the part about women’s right to choose. I, along with my opponent in the race, oppose gay marriage, though neither one of us want to change the constitution in that way. Thanks for sticking up for me, though. I need all the help I can get.
