The best part about greenspan is how he is coming out like he had no idea how this is happening and that he had nothing to do with it. Nevermind the fact he had the FED printing presses pumping tons of fiat currency into the markets. Everyone is yelling at oil companies and people raising the prices of their product when in all actuallity they are only doing so to compensate for our weak currency. I believe Peter Schiff was saying that if we pegged our currency back to a sound commodity(gold/silver) that oil would still be the same price it was 30 years ago. With all the current bailouts and both candidates positions, looks like the tactic will be fight inflation with more inflation to nationalize banks for their malinvestments. Private risk with a public guarantee, socialism at its best. Sacrifice your individual liberties and responsibility for your commrades, country first, taxes are patriotic, mandatory national service! I guess it doesn’t matter if Obama or McCain wins, as long as you don’t question authority and do as your told no matter how much its hurts you as an individual, everything will be fine. You love big brother!

Let’s face it, all these geezers in power will only do what benefits them. Every politicians major objective is to protect their own self, money, power and “job”. Note: the word job is in quotes because they don’t do anything but bullshit the public and suck off as much money from them as they can. If you live long enough you will see the promises remain the same and so do the condidtions of life for the not-politicians, not-ultra wealthy,not-connected to big business.
Anyone here ever studied any economics whatsoever? The best Greenspan could get out destroying the largest economy in the world would be a huge FAIL on his ass. That man gets nothing out of what is happening now essentially because he can’t quite control what is happening… Do you REALLY believe the chaos we’ve been experiencing is made by that carcass? The way you describe it, the world should have imploded a few decades ago. I’m sick of all you damn conspiracy theorists. If you can’t beat the big man, join him. I tell you what, living in America sure beats getting my skull bashed in from the militant arm of some fascist dictator. We pay a price for the stability and growth opportunities we are provided. if you can’t deal with that, go create your own communist state, and see how little corruption there is.
