guns dont kill people, rappers do!

  2. DeathWyrmNexus says:

“Guns don’t kill people, dangerous minorities do…”

    I love Family Guy.

  3. Trainwreck Chaser says:

    I like it, in context.

  4. --- says:

“You can’t blame [Cheney]. Bush says you can spy on people without warrants, you can torture people, you can hold people without a trial, so Dick Cheney thinks, ‘Oh what the hell, I can shoot a few guys.’”

  5. BubbaHotep says:

Dick Cheney has killed one less person than Ted Kennedy :)

    • markmier says:

      Or Laura Bush.

      • markmier says:

As many Republicans just love to bring up Teddy Kennedy’s 40-years-ago traffic accident in which he accidentally killed someone, I feel fully justified in bringing up Laura Bush’s 40-years-ago traffic accident in which she accidentally killed someone.

Not that either one is at all relevant. I just feel that turnabout is fair play.

        • MegaBob says:

Did she forget to tell anyone for several hours ?

          • markmier says:

The father of the guy she killed was driving directly behind her, so no, that would have been difficult.

            • QBQ says:

But there was not a several-hour interval, as there was when that evil hamster, Ted (HIC!) Kennedy drowned his date, then “agonized” over what to do until daylight.

              • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Yaaaaa, gotta love those people who can get away with murder.

              • jlucs says:

Good man, that Ted Kennedy. I’d shake that clammy-white palm of his
                any day!

              • Greenbandit says:

We don’t know what she would have done if the father of the victim had not been a witness to the accident, do we? So Laura Bush gets a free pass because of circumstance? What Ted Kennedy did 40 years ago was wrong. He should have been punished for it. He wasn’t. That’s bad. It also has nothing to do with the validity of his policies today, or the party he belongs to. Just like Laura Bush’s accident.

                • MegaBob says:

No – it had everything to do with his family name, getting out of it.
Good thing his names not OJ.

                  • DeathWyrmNexus says:

                    *puts on eye liner*
                    LEAVE OJ ALONE!!!

                  • herb says:

First off, I’m not a fan of Chappaquiddick. Likely Teddy didn’t agonize over what to do, but was too drunk to do fuckall but lay there and contemplate the moon. He likely got off because of his name.

Laura got a free pass after committing vehicular manslaughter while sober. She ran a stop sign and T-boned the oncoming car (who had right of way). Is that better, through negligence causing death while at full faculties?

They both fucked up; they both got off without a slap on the wrist; they both will carry that burden through their dying days.

What I’m curious about, Bob, is the OJ reference. It would be undermining the verdict of his ‘94 court case to say that he got away with murder, but my doubts of his innocence were not alleviated by his book “If I Did It”. How is Ted lucky he didn’t wind up in a farce-trial like what Simpson had? Between the three (Kennedy, Bush, and Simpson) only one stood accused of premeditated murder, and he was acquitted.

                    • Lolnathan says:

A 37 year old man killing someone via presumably drunk driving and getting a pass because he was a Kennedy vs. an inexperienced teenage driver getting in a car accident and killing someone. Not sure either are really relevant today, but I tend to think the former is a bit higher on the “Well that’s a bunch of BS.” scale.

                    • MegaBob says:

I threw that in for the heck of it- to see if people went crazy on it!

                • bittervoter says:

                  Hear hear!

              • PortlandMark says:

Then next time, I expect to hear “Ted Kennedy, he sure knows how to not report an accident for several hours!” instead of “Ted Kennedy killed someone!”

            • CGS says:

Was she having an affair with the guy she killed?

              • ryszard says:

No. They were friendly, she may have dated him, and he was part of a larger group of friends to which she belonged. That’s it, according to Snopes and others.

                • CGS says:

As opposed to Kennedy’s relationship with Mary Jo Kopechne..?

                  • And, who cares? You freaking people need to get over it…whatever happened occured 40 fricking years ago and guess what…he was convicted of nothing, so come up with a new rap, this one;s a little boring. Have some freaking cheese.

                    • CGS says:

I agree with markmier that neither is relevant to this thread,
but to compare the two incidents and “feel(ing) fully justified” in
doing so is completely asinine. Drunken driving, running off a
bridge, leaving a passenger with whom you’re presumably
having an affair to drown and waiting twelve hours to report the
incident doesn’t equal a seventeen year old running a stop sign
and accidentally killing another driver. And unless you have the
kind of influence the Kennedy name has, try duplicating Ted’s
actions at Chappaquiddick and see how easily you walk away
                      from it. Good luck.

  6. :) says:

I like how he’s eying the gun like, “yes, this will do”.

  7. MegaBob says:

He and Putin need to go hunting together……

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Evil should not be that close to evil.

      • Morgan says:

        *rolls eyes*
When Bush leaves office, I never want to see another LOL or comment about the Bush administration. You guys had eight years, time to get some new material.

        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Considering that it is more fun to mock those in power than those who are outside of power, I think that is a given. Whomever gets the White House, they will be lampooned no matter who they are.

        • Seth says:

New material? Seriously? How come I still hear right wingers yammering, ‘Clinton got a BJ, ROFL!’ to this very day? Turnabout is fair play.

          • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Considering that we still have Clinton LOlz about how much of a hound he is, eight years after he left office, you would think they wouldn’t be so testy about it. I still laugh at Clinton portrayed as a horndog and I will enjoy painting Bush as an idiot and Cheney as a demon for years to come.

            • PortlandMark says:

Love the way JibJab uses Bill in all their cartoons- and always feature Hillary slapping the bejeezus out of him.

        • What planet are you on?

  8. MegaBob says:

That comment was more of a question of who would come out alive.

  9. The problem with Dick Cheney is that he should have joined the NRA so he could take a gun safety course, because as we all know, that is why they existโ€ฆoh waitโ€ฆ.(select one of the following answers)

    a. VP Cheney is a graduate of an NRA gun safety course. b. The NRA is not concerned with gun safety. c. The NRA is only concerned with protecting the ability of right-wing extremists to overthrow the government. d. all of the above.

  10. Wendy says:

    This LOL is WIN.

  11. Dylane says:

guns don’t kill people, IT’S THE BULLETS!

    • unless they are rubber bullets, usually.

      • Dylane says:

you can never be too sure. that was the question on campus at Kent in May,1970. (yes, I was there. yess i am still trying to “drink it off my mind”_rolling stones) dont tell me to get over it. you kids get educated to sex, drugs and violence when you are born. the world is insane big time. leave me alone

        • Not really a kid anylonger, unless you ask my wife…she thinks that I am stuck at 15. The didn’t use rubber bullets at Kent State, they were the real thing. That’s why the GOP convention echos (not to the fullest extent, yet) the late 60’s/early 70’s.

    • Lolnathan says:

I dunno, if someone pistol whips you hard enough it could probably kill you… wouldn’t need bullets for that. Of course a rock would work better.

  12. Tessie says:

“It’s their fear that makes them taste so good!”

  13. Harry says:

Still, it IS a pretty nice gun………

  14. ted says:

    Doesn’t even need a caption.
