  1. Kit says:

Oh man, house burned AND flooded (and probably wind damaged too). That’s the ultimate slap to the home owner’s face.

And on a different note, I’m reminded of the ‘which of these things is not like the other one’ from Seseme Street.

  2. Assassa says:

Heh heh, that pic always makes me lol…

  3. lol says:

    The roof is on fire.

  4. Texas says:

    Wow. Too soon.

    • H-Town says:

      I concur….WAY too soon.

      • herb says:

It’s never too soon to sublimate shock into black humor.

        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Ya I like a dose of gallow’s humor in my reality. Hell, I didn’t bitch about the Waterfront Property Fail picture when that was my downtown. *shrugs*

What’s the point of life if you can’t laugh at it?

Just after my grandfather’s funeral, all the family was milling about. My grandmother, who hasn’t spoken much since the service let out, finally says, “I think I’m going to dye my hair.”

My aunt turns to her and belts out, “Jesus Christ, Ruth, you’ve been a widow four friggin’ hours! Let the bed get cold first.”

            • DeathWyrmNexus says:

LOL, I officially love your Grandma.

              • Jane St.Clair says:

I officially love his aunt. This sounds like my family. My brothers and I had been to a concert right before my grandfather died and one of my brothers dyed his hair bright purple. He tried to dye it back to brown before the funeral but he only succeeded in making it this lovely grape color. My grandmother strangly latched onto him the whole weekend saying, “Grandpop always said he marched to the beat of his own drummer”. Meanwhile the rest of us were making fruit of the loom jokes.

                • DeathWyrmNexus says:

I remember when I was sick once, my aunt came upstairs to visit me. I can’t remember all the conversation but it ended with her saying, “Sticks and Stones may break my bones but Whips and Chains excite me.” I really wish I remembered what the hell we were talking about…

Oh I remember now, she saw that I had handcuffs on my bed for lulz… Good times.

                  • Jane St.Clair says:

Okay, now we’re just going to get into a crazy relative showdown. The same grandfather I mentioned in the previous post was sick for some time before he died. For about two weeks a lot of us were camped out in the hospital room and my grandmother was there pretty much permanantly. So we’re all sitting there and out of the blue my grandmother turns to me and says, “I was reading an article in Glamour magazine the other day about female masturbation, do you know anything about that, Lys?” The room went like dead silent and I was like, “Uhhhhhhhhhh”. I really don’t remember how I got out of that one.

                    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

LOL, nice. I will concede as my brain is too hungry to shift through the mediocre craziness in my life to find a proper gem of crazy to bring to bear. So next time, Gadget!!! Next TIME!!!

        • R says:

          Too soon. Period.

  5. hmph says:

Maybe too soon – except it looks to me like most of those houses are on stilts and the water damage is probably minimal. So I laughed.

  6. direwookiee says:

    galveston.
im glad everyone I know got out.

  7. OB1 says:

Hopefully it wiped away the projects behind the Strand !

  8. bernie says:

yeah i’ll say too soon. sorry guys.

  9. nom says:

anybody know where from came this pic?

  10. Kim says:

    Galveston, Texas

    • H-Town says:

Actually my moneys on Surfside, TX it got an insane surge hours before the storm was anywhere near the coast so it sustained the most flooding. Galveston was more wind damage than anything.

  11. Lis311 says:

This was taken in Houston, TX (or nearby like in Galveston, TX) last weekend during Hurricane Ike.

  12. George McPalush says:

may i be the first to say……. FAIL

  13. TC00 says:

Wow, we are still trying to recoup from this hurricane and you’re laughing about it?

I bet the person that owns the house loves the idea that it’s posted on a board like this….

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

If you are recouping from a hurricane, how are you online? Shouldn’t you be at your pity party you are trying to throw. You have my sympathy down there but I will still laugh if I find something funny. Perhaps you noticed that this is a lol site, we aren’t here to be your hug box.

If the picture is an actual problem, then the admin can be contact and the content removed.

  14. Nicola says:

That’s a rental house in Galveston Island, Texas. Friends of mine stayed in it last month while on vacation.
