    LOL, Awesome

  2. Thomas says:

Pretty tasteless, and not funny. This shouldn’t have been put up.

    • Dave says:

Uh, when has “Pundit Kitchen” or any ICHC sister site ever advocated tasteful-only lolz? If you’re looking for tasteful – you probably shouldn’t even be touching politics at all anyways. I thought it was funny – evil, but funny.

      • Thomas says:

Dave, there’s tasteless like “let’s make fun of somebody’s sex scandal”, and there’s tasteless like “let’s make a joke out of the assassination of a president and the potential assassination of a presidential candidate.” If ya can’t tell the two apart, that’s a serious lack of perspective on your part.

And if you try to tell me it’s not a racial thing, don’t bother. If any presidential candidate’s gonna have people gunning for him, it’s Obama. We’ve still got a lot of serious racists in this country.

        • PortlandMark says:

I don’t see it as making fun of assassination. I see it as the ultimate expression of the cluelessness of the human condition: each is oblivious to the danger he represents to himself, and is more worried about the (comparatively lower) danger the guy next to him presents. If that doesn’t sum up what’s wrong with our country, I don’t know what does!

          • Thomas says:

Mark… I can see how it can be interpreted that way. I’d say the judgment of danger that you talk about, and it is an interesting point, is more a feature of the Right than the mainstream and the Left. Thanks!

            • truthtalker says:

I’d say that particular type of cluelessness is non partisan actually. There’s plenty to go around.

            • TheLarrikin says:

The Left is afraid of what the Right will do while in power, all the while ignorant of the potential harm they would have afflicted on the American Peoples, if the tables were reversed.

You can switch “Left” and “Right”, and you’ll still have a truthful statement.

        • QBQ says:

Ever see Eddie Murphy do Jesse Jackson’s inauguration speech: “And I do solemnly [ducks] swear to uphold [drops to floor] the Constitution,” etc., etc. Most folks thought THAT was pretty funny!

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

I am almost afraid to ask what you actually laugh at?

    • herb says:

Oh, it’s funny because it’s tasteless.

    • Cookies28 says:

      Tsk…tsk…Thomas.
Try pulling the stick out. You’ll find it’s easier to laugh that way.
This is a JOKE SITE. If you can’t find it in yourself to muster up even half
a sense of humor, what are you doing here in the first place?

      • Thomas says:

Hey, as I said to Dave, there’s jokes and then there’s jokes. I’d say that I have a better sense of humour than you do… I know the difference between funny and stupid.

        • 1.618 says:

          No you don’t.

        • Cookies28 says:

          Ummm, no Thomas, you don’t.

          • raelalt says:

            Thomas,
Even though I understand your concern I still believe you are way off base here. If it were advocating assassination that would be one thing, but to make a reference to it in a humorous fashion is how we relieve the tension that such an action (or its potential) brings. Yes it is tasteless, but most edgy humor is. And without edgy tasteless humor we might as well stick to watching TV sitcoms.

    • s57sunny says:

      Tasteless but definitely funny!

    • Ben says:

Thomas. Is it hard to type with your thumb in your mouth? Seriously. Quit being an overly emotional liberal! this posting doesn’t promote or endorse assassination. It just pokes fun at what is already true. these two just happen to be two of the most polarizing individuals in recent American History, thus highly threatened. The fact that they would be sitting sit by side is a bit serendipitous. And seriously. Why should anyone have to explain this to you? The Cheezburger Network moderators would not have let this publish if it were partisan.

  3. wundawomun says:

    I lol’d.

  4. John says:

More morbid than funny. Yes, it’s humorous, but the morbidity factor outweighs the humor tenfold.

  5. wundawomun says:

I like the whole comic feel to it too.

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

I was fond of the bubbles too.

    • Thomas says:

I am appalled that you would find chat bubbles appropriate for such serious content! What is wrong with you? Assassination is not a joke!

      • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Actually that was thought bubbles. As in their inner thoughts, not chat. Put on your helmet now. Life gets much worse and appalling.

Assassination is not a joke. However, you can joke about assassination. Have fun wrapping your brain around that.

      • navynick says:

thomas, you just uptight cause you know obama will end up getting shot.

  6. lr says:

    This is disgusting, especially today.

  7. Fail Funnies says:

These two guys belong with one another. The commenst were great.

  8. MegaBob says:

Nope! I’m not gonna touch this one !!

  9. Lolnathan says:

Hmm. I dunno. Maybe I’m just being too serious, but Im not sure assassination/murder jokes are really appropriate. Or maybe they are. Who knows.

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Considering what we have said about other lolz, I don’t think it really matters. I don’t laugh at every lol here though I do laugh at most of them. Seems appropriate enough to me. *shrug*

    • TheLarrikin says:

It might not be appropriate, but it damn sure is funnier than half the shite put up recently. *sigh*

    • Thomas says:

No, they’re completely inappropriate. They should be thinking about buttraping each other, instead. Now THAT would be funny!

      • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Unless you were a rape victim of sodomy but then again that would mean that all humor was subjective and thus anything could be inappropriate and appropriate at the same time. OH LAWDY!!! SAVE ME FOR I HAVE JUST MADE A RACIST COMMENT… Or did I?

      • Dave says:

Wait, so Thomas thinks this lol is disgustingly inappropriate, but thinks two people buttraping each other is funny…and I’m not even sure if that’s entirely funny if both are consensually raping each other (which stands to reason given that they both would *probably* like that if doing this to each other) – that just makes you…well…homosexual, or at least bi-curious. :\
        Oh Thomas, you are a CRACK-UP! :P

    • Ben says:

It’s not a joke about assassination, Genius. It’s a joke about the serenity of these tow sitting together. Shheesh

  10. mike says:

This is hilarious, a liar and a murderer.

    • steve says:

      Chapa-quit-it

    • Thomas says:

Wow, you are particularly stupid. McSame, sorry, McCain, helped murder 4,000+ American kids when he supported the wrong war at the wrong time. And Palin hasn’t told the truth about anything. She supported the bridge to nowhere, she’s lied to cover up troopergate. Oh, and as mayor of Wasilla she charged rape victims for the rape exam kits.

      • PortlandMark says:

Oh, let’s not forget McCain’s job in Vietnam: dropping incendiaries on unarmed villages. Of course, I wouldn’t slam other vets for following orders, so I guess I should give McSame the same leeway.

        • Dave says:

Well, he crashed 5 frickin’ planes because he was a terrible pilot (only being allowed to fly much less crash 5 planes because his father was a powerful Admiral) – crashing THAT kind of incendiary was probably not an order as much as it was a complete joke. I’m all for vets – but this guy is not a war hero, the real heroes are the ones who didn’t come home because they were saving their fellow men by sacrificing their own lives, not being fast-tracked to Pilot-status because your dad is a big cheese. If he weren’t a POW there would be public outrage at his campaign championing him as a war hero – just like these same people did to John Kerry.

      • Jane St.Clair says:

Okay, okay. I’m obviously not Sarah Palin’s biggest fan, but if you’re going to claim that she’s charging rape victims for the rape kits then you need to provide documentation for that.

        • QBQ says:

Jane–As a righty, I deeply appreciate your skepticism. Alas, it appears to be true that the city of Wasilla did, in fact, bill victims for the evidentiary kits. It also appears, though, that the bills were, when possible, paid by insurance. I’d like to think that those not so covered were helped in other ways, but I can’t document THAT. :(

        • PortlandMark says:

Technically, it was the sheriff she hired who charged the women. In a state, btw, with double the rate of rape found nationwide. In a town with the highest rates of rape in Alaska.

          • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Those nights get mighty cold on your lonesome I guess… *much sarcasm and eye rolling ensues*

          • Dave says:

And let’s not forget how she cut teen pregnancy funding (including funding for sheltering teen mothers) – with no apparent contingency that the funding could still go to a teen that is a rape victim. Palin’s glasses may be fashionable and cute, but I think they’re red-rose tinted.

        • Jane St.Clair says:

I really didn’t want to know all that, really I didn’t, my anger towards Sarah Palin is getting out of hand as it is, how will I be able to refrain from making political statements at the bookstore I work at now? (We all had to have a lengthy meeting on how the corporation’s official position was that it had no official position, which while I understand is hard when an already annoying customer caught sight of Palin on a magazine cover and loudly proclaimed, “that’s my girl!” and proceeded to blab on about how she has such fashionable glasses and don’t I just think they’re so cute and everyone is going to want them)

          • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Not to be a bastard and stoke your fires…

But isn’t it nice that justice is a right and not for sale…? *ducks and covers in case of explosion*

          • herb says:

I asked on my local booksellers if Jerome Corsi’s “Obama Nation” would be filed under Fiction.

He said it’d be put in Political Nonfiction, so in a way, yes.

            • Jane St.Clair says:

I had a lady tonight that was mad because we weren’t selling the book about Sarah Palin. I told her that we were, it was at the info desk. Then she was mad that she didn’t see it (I think the implication was that we were hiding it or something) and I told her it was on the front side right next to the Joe Biden books. Then she was just mad (I think because I mention that there was another VP candidate and we were giving him equal space). After all this she turns to her husband and says, “do you want to go get that book?” He told her no, he didn’t want it. Go figure.

      • BeukendaalMason says:

Actually McCain (like most of the Senate, including many Democrats) approved President Bush’s declaration of war. The soldiers died fighting a war to/for (ok, insert your reason here). Many US soldiers die each year without ever being in wars (as do many other people). Should we not have gone to war? Dont know, in hind sight it no question we could, and should, have been planned and managedthe war better. But I guess since McCain is running for president every short comming of Bush’s is his now too. Its funny how people dont state that everything Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton failed at is Obama’s fault…

Most likely when it was fealt that the “Bridge to nowhere” was not just stupid pork spending Palin didn’t mind that her state would recieve the infrastructure and economic boost (construction jobs). But once many saw it as unneeded and absolute waste she too fealt that there could be a better use for the money. But you must know what she thinks better than she does… I dont know how that trooper stayed employed (using taser on step-son, drinking in a state vehicle, threatening a citizen), she was sadly making the right choice in firing him even if he was her ex-brother in law or not (and now being “investigated” for it).

If you actually read the article you will notice it is the POLICE department that charged the victims (as did other police departments through out the US). Although as Mayor she probably has authority to hire the police chief (if it was needed). The police chief could have been on the job before she was (Ie hired by her predacessor). Should she have been aware, probably if it was brought to her attention. Should she have changed it, yeah, if she knew about it.

        • Maryland Belle says:

I’d just like to point one thing out…Palin didn’t see the bridge to nowhere as a waste, the media did. After the media saw it as a waste, she changed her stance.

          • BeukendaalMason says:

No one saw the bridge as a waste, even the media. It wasnt until the federal government realised it couldnt throw money around like idiots did everyone(except maybe Senater Stevens) realise that the government shouldnt spend so much money to build the bridge. You think that was the only excessively wasteful expenditure the US government has done? Its just sadly one of many.

        • herb says:

I know it’s been done to death, but re: the state trooper, I -still- can’t understand why such heinous crimes (tasering his stepson, threatening his in-laws, drinking on the job) went unreported for over six years, and only surfaced after the divorce.

      • jellybeans says:

McCain voted against the bill to stop the practice of charging rape victims for forensic kits and Wasila was the only town in Alaska that did in fact charge the victims. The chief of police was reportedly very upset when the state passed a law to disallow that practice.

        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Of course, rape is NEVER anybody’s fault except the rape victim’s… *headdesk*

Wow, I couldn’t type that without headdesking myself out of karma.

        • QBQ says:

McCain did no such thing, and there was no way he could have been involved. It was the ALASKA state legislature that passed a STATE law against the practice. Congress is CONSIDERING a federal law which would mandate the same. IF McCain is still a member, he would THEN have an opportunity to vote. Not until then.

I don’t even believe you heard that from someone. Unless it is your intention to promulgate lies, you should check facts before making such statements.

      • Thomas says:

I’m really sorry I said that. I apologize for my stupidity and my lack of humor, dark and otherwise. I just don’t get it and I should shut up.

      • Watchtower says:

You’re comment pretty much sums up your extreme liberal leftism. Wrong War? little one, the war with Iraq had never ended. Only a cease fire with Saddam had never honored. Saddam was recruiting anyone who would carry out a suicide bombing against the US with a payment of $25,000 US (Not Iraqi Denar) to the family of the bomber. He had WMD’s, he used WMD’s. Your ignorance to accept or recognize that shows your contempt for this country, and your blind (willingly or otherwise) stupidity.

Your comment about Palin “Hasn’t told the truth about anything.” is very far reaching, and unsupported. You may be correct about the bridge, but you are incorrect on the “Rape Victims.” And “Troopergate?” She has the authority, just as any ‘Boss’ to fire him for just about any reason, even without cause. That goes true for basically any Non-Union job you work at.

You dislike the humor in the caption – fine. But I bet you supported the movie “Death of a President” regarding GW Bush?
I bet you own or have seen “Inconvenient Truth” that is filled with Agenda filled lies about Global Warming, or Climent Change, or what ever catch-phrase the Liberal Left want to package and promote it, as support for it (as people catch on to the lie) begins to fall.

But I take issue with you regarding the 4,000 kids, as you say, McCain helped Murder. War is hell my Wee-little man.

To paraphrase “A Few Good Men.”
“We live in a world that has walls and those walls need to be guarded by men with guns. Their deaths while tragic, probably saved lives. While the decision to restart the war with Iraq is grotesque and incomprehensible to you, it saved lives. The Soldiers who stand guard have neither the time nor the inclination to explain themselves to a person who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom they provide and then questions the manner in which they provide it. They would rather you just say “thank you,” and went on your way.”

“I suggest that you pick up a weapon and stand a post to protect America. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think.”

        • Watchtower says:

Oh, and one more point about Saddam, Iraq and War with your assinine comments of “Wrong War.”
As stated, the war was never over to begin with – only a cease fire which was not honored by Saddam. Saddam (as stated previously) not only attempted to recruit Suicide Bombers, but also continually shot at our pilots.

As with any victor in battle, the victor dictates terms, grants leniency if they so choose, can re-arrange the government, remove officials. And unless there is an official end to the war, and NOT just a cease fire, we (as victors) reserve the right to go back and leave another military foot-print on their asses.

But be it as it may, Saddam was warned, given muliple Un-Resolutions (which Saddam ignored.)

I tell you what, I’m going to stop there because I am arguing with a mintal midget who is so far out in left-wing field he doesn’t even know who is at bat.

  11. ubr says:

wow… you know that this comes from one of the funniest dave chapelle skits ever? that’s why dave chapelle had a mexican vp… just absolutely hilarious…

this is pundit kitchen… laugh or get the hell out…

    • Thomas says:

Wow. To paraphrase you, “Agree with me or get the hell out.” Nice. Very authoritarian of you.

Fortunately for the rest of us, the world does not require that we agree with you on what’s funny. The world’s a much better place as a result.

    • herb says:

That sentiment was also expressed in “Head of State”. The late Bernie Mac tells Chris Rockthat with him as VP, no-one would ever try to take him down.

  12. PortlandMark says:

Bad loller! Bad! Don’t make offensive jokes again! Bad!

Actually, I quite liked this one.

  13. Thomas says:

Let’s be clear. Part of the reason this is “funny” is that a black presidential candidate has a much better chance of getting shot than a white one. Wow, that’s just a scream, isn’t it?

I’ve never found anything on here offensive before. But this is flat-out racist, and pretty sick. Y’all who got such a laugh out of this, your prejudice is showing.

    • Qua? says:

No, not really. The way it looks to me (and analyzing lols tends to take the funny right out) is that it’s saying Ted is racist by being afraid of being next to the black guy, and Obama is afraid of sitting next to a Kennedy with their horrible record of getting shot. The actual joke isn’t about race at all though, it’s about being self-centered.

    • 1.618 says:

      Authoritarian!

    • jamisings says:

Well, the Sarah Palin ones are tasteless, sexiest, moronic, and unfunny, but they keep putting them up. So quit being a whiny little hypocrite and put up with this crap.

I don’t like racism either – my parents raised me better then that – but frankly, if they’re going to put up bigoted captions of republicans then it’s only fair they put up bigoted ones of democrats too.

    • raelalt says:

      “But this is flat-out racist”
      .
His possibility of being shot is not because of racism but rather the concept that he will turn the people who really control the county out on their ear. It won’t be some gap-toothed redneck that will the instigator (but maybe the implement) but some back room capitalist kingmaker.

      • Kerfuffle Monger says:

It is racist, however, there is truth to it. You think there aren’t people in the US who would risk their own lives to bring down Obama? It’s called the KKK and it’s alive and well and living wherever people say “y’all”. Dark humor is as relevent as any other type of humor. That you neither get it nor appreciate it, Thomas, is no one’s fault, yet you force your ignorance on us. We get it: you believe it’s not funny. Guess what? No one cares.

        • Thomas says:

You’re absolutely right. I’ve been a dipshit up to this point and I thank you for leading me back. I apologize to everyone for being a douchebag. I hope y’all will forgive me.

        • Maryland Belle says:

          Kerfuffle,
I’d just like you to know that you are being racist. Oh yes, you are. Just because someone says “y’all”, doesn’t mean they intend on returning all black people to a state of slavery, or killing them. I living in the south. I actually live in the cradle of the Confederacy (points to anyone who knows where that is). I know far more racists up in New England, in areas where they would cringe at anyone who says “y’all”. So stop believeing everything you hear on TV. There is more to the South than racists and rednecks. When I walk around my town, I notice more people supporting Obama than McCain, and when Obama came to speak here last fall, the turn out was tremendous. So yeah, even those of us who say “y’all” are voting for him, and hoping and praying that he gets through his term unharmed.
          -Victoria

          • raelalt says:

There is a Randy Newman song called “Renecks” that reflects exactly
what you just said. It’s sung by a character who is obviously from the
Deep South and sarcastically sings about all the stereotypes that
Northerners place on Southerners. And about how the North has set
the black man free, but then continues:

Yes he’s free to be put in a cage
In Harlem in New York City
And he’s free to be put in a cage on the South-Side of Chicago
            And the West-Side
And he’s free to be put in a cage in Hough in Cleveland
And he’s free to be put in a cage in East St. Louis
And he’s free to be put in a cage in Fillmore in San Francisco
And he’s free to be put in a cage in Roxbury in Boston

            • Kerfuffle Monger says:

Have you ever been to the south side of Chicago? No white/Asian/Semitic/Indian person who isn’t a crackhead or hooker would live there.

              • Maryland Belle says:

If it’s the south side of Chicago, isn’t that southern? Oh, and when I said there was more to the south than racists and rednecks, I forgot to mention we got NASCAR! And I’m sorry for failing to see irony.

                • Maryland Belle says:

Dude…whoever was using my name to type the above can go f*ck themselves. I wasn’t born in the south, but moved ASAP.

And it isn’t irony. That’s actually how a good 80% of the rest of the world sees Southerners.

          • Kerfuffle Monger says:

Thank you for pointing that out. My eyes have been opened and I am free at last!

          • lol says:

Racism is alive and well here in the midwest.

          • Aedriel says:

I wasn’t aware that “southern” was a race.

          • herb says:

as a New England Yankee, I can say that we’re for the most part equal-opportunity haters.

    • wundawomun says:

Excuse me, you don’t even know what ethnicity anyone is here, unless you’ve seen them live & in person. Please don’t make a judgment call without knowing the facts first.

    • Maryland Belle says:

      Dear Thomas,
This is actually a topic that has come up for discussion several times within my social group. Yes, it is morbid to wonder if a president will get shot during his term. But is it any worse than wondering if the other candidate would die during said term? And the whole thing isn’t funny, it’s sad. But these pictures don’t have to be funny. Some of them end up more as a commentary than anything else, and I think that’s what happened here.

      • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Hell, I was curious why he made light of rape earlier in this comment area when he has issues with assassination.

    • Watchtower says:

Thomas, You little fool. “is that a black presidential candidate has a much better chance of getting shot than a white one. Wow, thatโ€™s just a scream, isnโ€™t it?”

Tell that to Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, am McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan.

Thomas, when arguing, please bring something more to the fight rather than a spit-wad shooter. Because there are those who bring a Connon to that fight.

  14. BJ says:

I laughed, out loud, and not because I calculated the odds of a black candidate being assasinated over a white one, how that link was made baffles me (the only other person in the photo is Kennedy, is he also running?). It was merely a spontaneous respose to the idea that both Obama and Kennedy are making measured choices based on self interest.
Mind you, I would have recaptioned the photo. Obama: Do you see that? Kennedy: Yep. McCaine’s wearing Ferragamo shoes again. The bastard.

  15. jamisings says:

I’d be more worried driving with Ted Kennedy then getting shot by him.

  16. isntbinladenwhite says:

    more fodder for the fray…

I’m just impressed it’s taken this meme this long to show up. As a Black Democrat, I have the same thought every day. And it’s always funny, because it is so true. Viva America.

  17. MegaBob says:

Oh well. I gotta go for a few days o take car of Ike evacuees. Someone put some jokes on here !

  18. Robert says:

    That’s frackin’ hilarious.

    Yuck. Next pic, please.

  20. Kerfuffle Monger says:

oh blah blah blah, there will always be a comic on here that offends someone. you are choosing to come to a site that makes fun of people, politics and news. occasionally, every now and then, bad things tend to happen, you want to hide and sensor the world? i suggest getting off the internet. there is being respectful and then there is being anal.

there have been so many dull, repetitive, uncomment worthy pics that do nothing but move the same political arguments from one field to the next. if it takes a few murders to get things flowing i’m heading to the mall as we speak.

    1. nice captions
    2. bad taste

  23. Kara says:

I laughed out loud. My writing teacher said that, “Pain plus distance equals humor.” I think it would be less funny if the Kennedys, or Martin Luther King, had been shot more recently, but the farther away (in this case in time) something seems to people, the more they are able to laugh at jokes relating to it. I think that for the people who are offended, it just hasn’t been long enough yet.

  24. Rochelle says:

    Hilarious! LMAO

  25. Emwads says:

this is making fun of both sides of racists. dumb ignorant white people and dumb ignorant black people. i dont see the problem.

  26. Alex says:

    Ahh ted died

  27. Anna says:

Honestly, each and everyone of you who has been arguing about if this was funny or not needs to get a life.
The person who posted it posted it as a joke, to make people laugh, nothing else.
Stop wasting your time arguing with one another about your own central view points, the rest of us really don’t care.

  28. jack says:

so funny and so not tasteless, glad this was put up.
