WTF? Japan doesn’t report on Chinese people, ever? The fact is you can’t tell if a person is a certain ethnicity unless you ask them.
Not true. I can tell a Scotsman from an Italian, or a Korean from a Vietnamese person.
It is harder comparing a Chinaman from a Japanese person, but not impossible by any stretch.
Huge difference in looks between a Chinese person and Japanese person. You’re blind if you can’t tell. Or you just never get out of the house. There are so many characteristics that are extremely different between Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Malaysians, Thais, and the rest of the Eastern world, anyone who can not see the differences, are living in a hut. I can spot the differences most of the times, I can say I’m only about 5% wrong when it comes to it, but there are enough cultural, facial differences to tell Asians apart.
Wow, your good then because, I grew up in Japan and can’t tell the difference at times. Even my asian friends can’t tell. can you tell french from germans too??
I had a Korean-born friend who was frequently mistaken for Chinese…by Chinese heritage folk.
Good for you. I mean, I can generally tell differences in names (ie.- a Japanese name from a Chinese name, etc.) but I can’t tell by looking at a person. Well, I guess I’ll go back to my hut and live in ignorance. Thank you for enlightening us.

I thought it was brilliant – If you guys missed it China wore red leotards (or what ever they are) You can sort of see the red strap or collar on her shoulder in this picture. That is why that quote is win. I am sure that is where a large part of the quote is coming from. I think the gymnast who’s age was in question also had her hair in pony tails one day.
