You have some serious problems. That aside, 9/11 was the defining moment of Giuliani’s stint as mayor, and he did a pretty good job dealing with it, in my opinion. Definitely something I think he has the right to bring up, and be proud of.
but he brings it up over and over and over and over and over again… just like John “Songbird” McCain now uses his questionable POW story over and over and over and over again… because it makes him untouchable… sadly
Well, what else could he do? Don’t get me wrong, he did ok, but come on, what choice did he have and who would have done anything different?
Well, for starters, when he received pre-9/11 complaints from the FDNY about the Motorolla radios cutting out all over the place, but the replacements had even more dead spots, he could have done something. Or when several of the ladder teams couldn’t hear the evac signal on account of these radios, he could have -not- given Motorolla a no-bid contract to supply the city’s First Response with the walkies with shitty reception problems.
How about when he put his emergency command bunker in the only building to have ever been targeted by terrorists in the past (hint: the T*** T*****), against the advice of his advisors?
