    frist!

  2. cmw08 says:

    Meh… photoshopped.

  3. Karen says:

    That is truly sad. :-\

  4. DeathWyrmNexus says:

Please tell me this isn’t the “common man” archetype that they want in office by voting for McCain…

  5. bittervoter says:

Yeah, wow. I’m not trying to get political about this, but really, being educated and able to use proper grammer, spelling, etc does not make one “elitest”. If I were a republican, I’d want to stone that guy for making the party look bad.

    • Circe says:

*snicker* I LOVE misspelled signs. Course…I prefer them when any group I oppose is waving them around.

    • eddiepscetti says:

Kind of like the “The Mavrick” sign.. for some people, stupidity isn’t just a way of life, it’s a religion.

    • fjaradvax says:

Er, that’ll be grammAr / elitIst. Let (s)he who is without sin…
I imagine you’d have *checked* a little better before you took the sign to the convention, than before you clicked ‘Add comment’ though.

      • eddiepscetti says:

Oooooooooh! Does that mean we get to stone a Democrat?!?! Just kidding bittervoter, my spelling, grammAr and sentence structure often leaves a lot to be desired.. :)

        • bittervoter says:

Yes, yes, mea culpa. Fire away please. *hangs head* ;) I get joy out of noticing people’s spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, so it only follows I should be pwned for mine.

        • herb says:

No need. Most Democrats doing a fine job at getting themselves stoned.

          • Roy says:

Have you noticed that most, if not all, spelling mistakes on signs are in Republican events?

The stupid people support Republicans, because they are just like them.

            • eddiepscetti says:

Wow, that’s the second time I’ve seen that broad brush being pulled out and painting an entire political party. I would hardly say I’m stupid, and in all likelihood I probably have a much higher level of education AND life experience then you. Would care to either retract the comment or would you like a narrower brush? Further to your comment, I can well imagine we would find some great examples of spelling and grammar right down in Obama’s own backyard.

              • i'll hockey your mom says:

oh… oh my goodness. zing. you are my hero.

              • Wulf says:

Fine, your spelling and grammar are perfect. Assuming from the context that you’re a republican, we can conclude that only your logic and common sense is impaired.

              • Seth says:

Education and life experience evidently have not prepared you for parsing basic sentences and discerning their logic. Was Roy saying ALL repugs are stupid? Or was he saying that stupid people support repugs? Did he say ALL stupid people support repugs? Did he say NO stupid people support dems? So, would you care to either retract your idiotic gripe, or just admit that you are too stupid to understand an eleven word sentence?

                • Phaelin says:

I’m pretty sure that bit about “because they are just like them” trumps your argument fairly well. If that’s not painting a picture with paint-roller, I don’t know what is.

              • Charlie Foxtrot says:

A narrower brush implies that you have to be able to use it.

              • Kurt says:

Well eddie, we expect intelligence from you. You’re only a moderate repub ;)

          • fred says:

I hope they stay stoned until after November! :)

        • Jim says:

Most Democrats are already stoned. :)

        • Dylane says:

          “everybody must get stoned”-Bob Dylan

      • bittervoter says:

How do you know I didn’t do that on purpose? Well, you’re right that I didn’t, so yes me= pwnd. However, it was a typo and I wasn’t too concerned about spelling given that this is a message board on PK. At least I didn’t misspell my country’s name though. I can promise you I’d never do that!

        • cmw08 says:

S’ok, Bittervoter, everyone knows only Democrats are allowed mistakes. Schadenfreude is really fun though huh?

          • bittervoter says:

Um, for the record, I’m not a democrat, I’m an independent. I just said it was perfectly ok to poke fun at me for sticking my foot in it, so you don’t need to be such a jackass.
Furthemore, typos on a message board are one thing, but typos and grammatical errors in articles, menus, or convention signs that took a while to make are quite another.

            • cmw08 says:

I didn’t call you a Democrat. Are you calling me one?? But…but I spelled everything correctly! Wait ,what are the rules again? Are Dyslexics Repubs by default then?

Has anyone ever noticed how much glee Independents get from pointing out that they are Independents?

Um, for the record, no one cares.

              • Phaelin says:

Um, for the record, you still look like a jackass. I didn’t seem to see much glee coming from his claim of being independent, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t mind whether or not you care. Go crawl back under your bridge.

                • bittervoter says:

Heh heh, thanks. :) For the record (since that’s the phrase of the moment) I’m a she, but no worries, my name doesn’t make that obvious. :)

                  • Phaelin says:

Did I say he? And his? I meant she. And shis… HERS. >_o

                  • Kurt says:

For the record, I was not aware that for the record was the phrase of the moment. Also for the record, I had no idea you were a woman until just now BV, should have figured it out though from the intelligence of your comments.
And for the record, I just really like saying for the record.
                    for the record. not really.
damn, I need to stay off here when I’m bored and sleep deprived.

    • Danko Ramone says:

It amazes me how much stupidity and ignorance is celebrated as a virtue by conservatives.

***More lolpoliticians that didn’t make the cut here apparently are available on my site by clicking on my name.

      • Kurt says:

I remember some interview that Obama and McCain did a while back (I think it was the one with the whole ‘cone of silence’ controversy). People say Obama didn’t do as well, because he was too thoughtful? Since when was that a BAD thing?

    • Snark says:

I’m there. I got a really big rock.

  6. Ceri says:

It’s even funnier when you know that homemade signs weren’t allowed into the RNC, they were pre-made & randomly handed out!
    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/republican_race/2008/09/04/2008-09-04_those_homemade_convention_signs_that_loo.html

  7. lowly grunt says:

Did the woman on the left just figure it out? *Oh, crap* she thinks…

  8. opie says:

haha those silly republicans are trying so hard to resemble their amazing president!

  9. Lolnathan says:

Because only Republicans make spelling mistakes…

I would remind people that the disadvantaged and uneducated of our country are treated far better by the Democrats, and that they tend to vote that way.

    • Evil Pundit says:

No they aren’t, and no they don’t.

It’s the upper middle class who tend to vote for Democrats, and it’s Democrats who discriminate against males and white people through ‘affirmative action’.

    • ubr says:

      well… you’re half right.

the disadvantaged and uneducated of our country are given better lip-service by the dems compared to the republicans, but both sides still f— them over any chance they get…

and the disadvantaged and uneducated don’t usually vote in large numbers… usually they’re stuck at work making $5.75/hr trying to afford $5 gas…

except in the midwest where the disadvantaged and uneducated of our country come out in droves to vote for republicans.

      • MegaBob says:

Oh, is that darn Democracy thing bothering you again ? Just get Obama to burn the constitution- I’m sure it’s on his list of things to do.

        • Cey says:

RIGHT, Obama is the one who wants to burn the constitution, not the grand old leader of the republican party Mr. GWB, who has already gotten rid of the whole cruel and unusual punishment clause, the illegal search and seizure clause, the whole due process clause, etc. etc. etc.

          Good one, MegaBob.

  10. BC girl- jEN says:

Ooooor you could all just come to good ol’ Canada and not worry about all this ‘Liberal’, ‘Republican’, ‘Acutally knowing how to spell stuff’ bull shit and just drink strong beer, pork hot chicks, and say ‘eh’ all day….eh. Or specifically BC where we just smoke Ganga all day XD

    I LOVE CANADA!!

  11. BC girl- jEN says:

OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD- WORK! I cant seem to post anything- but watch- this message will work, no doubt. :(

  12. BC girl- jEN says:

Oooh i see the sneaky game youre playing.. It lets me post once ive posted like 4 times… Tu-che computer. Tu-che… Perhaps im too stoned however to spell ‘tu-che’ correctly… Spelling Police- where art thou?!

  13. blah blah black sheep says:

    SUA! SUA! SUA!

  14. Musicmom870 says:

These people are not idiots because they misspelled a sign, they are idiots for believing that republican policies make America stronger.
In their defense, however, just try to picture where this sign was made. Trying to hand-print 4 inch lettered signs while lots of people are talking to you can be pretty challenging, and once you’ve printed it, it just looks right.

  15. angrycat says:

I would bet money that if this pic happened to be at a Democratic convention, it wouldn’t have gotten front page or a 5 rating.

  16. ubr says:

wow. wasn’t it only yesterday that we were having a “why are these pics so against obama” pity party?

where’s the fairness doctrine when it comes to lolpics on punditkitchen? there should be some sort of quota…

  17. Ana Pires says:

You’ll have to ask the question sooner or later, is your children really learning?

  18. Stevie W says:

    Spilleng fail !!

  19. Steven says:

I despise these, because they are blatant crappy photoshop jobs. Seriously stop letting these get through, they are not funny.

  20. CobaltLion says:

Interestingly, I’m dyslexic, and I was reading it the “right” way, and couldn’t see the error.

  21. bafflez says:

Funny thing is, these signs are MADE by the RNC and handed out at the convention and stump speeches. I saw more than one sign that night watching the RNC that said MAVRICK (not the correct spelling).

Stupid is never sexy. After 8 years of stupid I’m ready for a smart leader.

  22. Achtundachtzig says:

    DYSLEXICS UNTIE
