  1. Incapa says:

    “… she’s Barbie.”

  2. Fank says:

And he had her over 4 seasons.

  3. ema says:

six votes?? this one had six votes when it went up…

    • hueydoc says:

It’s Anti-McCain- you should be used to that by now! ;-)

      • lowly grunt says:

If anything, this lol suggests that McCain would know what he is referencing and would know what he is doing with that gesture. It strikes me as allowing for some cultural savvy that would otherwise be lacking. I would put this one in the WIN column for your side.

        • fjaradvax says:

          Second that.

        • ema says:

Well, that’s not the point, I thought the lol with the most votes is what goes up on the front page. This one had 6 votes when I first saw it, I’ve seen them with over 30 votes on the voting page but those never show up. So my conclusion is, these do not show up on the first page strictly from the amount of votes, there are other factors.

          • eddiepscetti says:

I sent an e-mail to the site asking what the criteria was for actually making past the voting page. Here is the reply I got, “Once you create a lol, it goes straight to our voting widget (the vote section of our site) and there, users will be able to vote on your lol. It’s only shown a certain number of times, so that means you may not see your own lol on the voting page. And once your lol has reached that certain number, it’s moved out of the voting system and the votes are tallied. If your lol has high votes and ratings, it will be then moved to the main site.” I would so love to know what that ‘certain number’ is, because of the LOL’s I’ve submitted, one has made it to voting (that I saw anyway). If you want to see the one’s I’ve submitted, just click on my name.

            • momly says:

              I’ve made 190 lols.
              190.
I think maybe six have made it to the front page. MAYBE. It’s the law of averages and your willingness to keep at it.
It also helps if people think they are funny. I’ve been lucky a couple times!

              • Simon says:

I don’t think that there have been 190 good LOLs in the history of this web site.

Maybe you are more impressive than the whole of the web site put together and you should have your own site. Maybe you’re not and 190 is a silly number of LOLs for you to TRY to submit without some of them being really bad.

                • momly says:

Oh some of them stink up the joint; I’m surprised we don’t have gas masks! THE POINT I was trying to make is that people complaining that their LOLs don’t get picked for Political Reasons are just being silly. LOLs don’t get picked because there are a huge number of LOLs to go through and no one is ever going to see all of them. Unless you click on someone’s name and go to their profile page, you will not see what they have done. I’ve now made 200 and have had a ball doing it!

            • Dave says:

Well, I do think their site is a giant mess as far as programming goes (I’m a web developer myself). They basically took Word Press and tried to make a hot or not-styled site out of it – which worked at first, but once you get into users with their own content and alpha-voting (to decide who goes on the front page) … that kind of foundation is just terrible. I’ve submitted a few and was just checking the voting widget out to see if I could find it IMMEDIATELY after and a few times throughout the day. Sure, I stumbled into the same damn pictures over and over, but never the one I had submitted. In my line of work, we call this JANKETY.

It really needs to be re-built from the ground up…with their specific needs in mind as well as a flexible foundation to help for future development. The site is not very scalable – but I do give them props for getting as far as they have.

        • Cey says:

          I think he’s uh.. waving.

    • Donkephant says:

There was a duplicate of this lol on the voting pages. Every lol receives at least 100 votes and it doesn’t go front page unless it’s got at least a 40+% thumbs up rating. This particular lol had about a 52% thumbs up rating.
There is no preference given by our staff to any candidate on Pundit Kitchen.

      • dude im on it says:

Just more Obama supporters frequent here, I guess. Or, is this a random selection of individuals? Could we be representative of the entire population? Could it mean that there are more Obama supporters than McCain supporters in the nation, then? PK calls the election for Barack Obama! You heard it here first!

  4. n8 says:

Man, what we do to the candidates themselves is bad enough without dragging their families into it as well. Decency fail.

    • dude im on it says:

C’mon, at least they aren’t calling her a trollop! This one made me giggle because I’m a nerd.

    • Ignatz says:

Oh my sweet FSM. You’re calling a decency fail in reference to the guy who publicly pimped his wife to a bunch of sweaty bikers? The guy who got a public endorsement from Daddy Yankee, whose big hit “Gasolina” is a reference to semen? The guy who systematically cheated the Navajo Nation out of mineral leases in the 70s when he was governor of Arizona? Please.

      • n8 says:

Nope, McCain himself is fair game. Just leave his wife and other family out of it. As you note, there is PLENTY of material there.

        • Ignatz says:

Well, since he’s treated his wives so shabbily, I think his private life is pertinent as a reflection of his personal ethics.

          • Trainwreck Chaser says:

So we should bring Jeremiah Wright and all that lovely congregation into this as well right? Private life, meaning church you attend is a reflection of personal ethics

If you’re argument had any logic, that would me obama hates white people.

            Fail.

            • wundawomun says:

              Ummm…. Obama is half white…

              • Evil Pundit says:

Lots of white people hate whites. Michael Pfleger, for example, is a white preacher at Jeremiah Wright’s racist church, and his racist diatribe against Hillary Clinton was what finally pushed Obama to ‘resign’ from that church.

                • herb says:

Intelligence fail, though not your first.

Pfleger is a Catholic priest, not Proddy preacher, who was invited to Wright’s church; he is not a regular member of the congregation.

As a result of his little rant, he did receive reprimand from the Bishop, before you think otherwise.

              • Yoda(Phaelin) says:

                Not the point, durrr.

            • boom says:

If YOUR spelling had any logic, it would MEAN Obama hates white people. Which isn’t that hard.

              • Phaelin says:

Dayum! There’s so much fail coming out of that comment, I don’t know where to start! To beat a grammar dick with his own ego-wang, “Which isn’t that hard.: is a fragment. The rest of your post I’ll leave to be picked apart by someone else.

          • Kurt says:

Yes he has treated his wives shabbily, they’ve had enough abuse, so they don’t need any more from us.

I will admit though, I did laugh a bit at this one.

        • jasper says:

OK I will say to leave Mrs. Obama out of it too. If you ask me Wives influence their husbands so they do have a little to do with it.

          • jasper says:

BTW I was saying if you say to leave her out then why don’t we all say to leave Mrs. Obama out too.

            • Phaelin says:

That would only make sense, I’d say. I think the people saying “LEAVE CINDY ALONE” would more than likely agree with that sentiment, too – unless of course they are all dicks.

      • Kathy says:

Ahem. McCain was never governor of Arizona.

      • eddiepscetti says:

I don’t know about the ‘Sweaty Bikers’ incident you speak of, so maybe you can site some reference? As for the other crapola you mention, 1) he didn’t ask for the endorsement, it was freely given. 2) in case you’re interested in who was Governor of Arizona in the 70’s here’s a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governor_of_Arizona

        • herb says:

During the Sturgis rally, he lamented that on the flier there was a “beauty pageant” listed, but Cindy didn’t want to compete although, he told her, she be be the first First Lady to also have been crowned Miss Buffalo Chip. Nobody told McCain that the Miss Buffalo Chip pageant includes a topless revue and a *ahem* talent portion (involving a banana). Either he was completely clueless or he was whoring his wife to the masses.

Interestingly enough, the week before he’d been bashing Obama, claiming that his energy policy was nothing more than making certain tire pressure was up. John said this sniggeringly to a group of bikers (who understand the importance of good tire pressure) to little support. The next day he dropped that bit from his shtick.

        • herb says:

I wrote a freakin’ long piece regarding this, but for whatever reason, it didn’t post.

Long story short: at the Sturgis Bike Rally, McCain suggested that Cindy participate in the Miss Buffalo Chip “beauty pageant” (his term). Either he didn’t know that the contest involves a topless routine, a bit of bare-assing, and simulating fellatio on a banana, or he was making another disparage towards her.

      • eddiepscetti says:

Since being admitted to the Union, Arizona has had 25 Governors. Of those 25, 16 had been Democrat and 9 Republican. So, if the Navajo Nation has been systematically cheated, I would suggest (but can’t prove) that it was probably a Democrat. Further to that, as mentioned, McCain was never Governor.

    • fjaradvax says:

The humour’s in the ol’ Jedi-Mind-Trick gesture. Calling Ms McCain a ‘droid <> doesn’t really strike me as a decency fail: it’s not exactly a crushing insult, is it?

      • dude im on it says:

I agree. And often, she comes off a little Stepford Wife-ish.

      • TheLarrikin says:

Replace a few words (‘She’s’ for ‘These are’ and pluralise ‘droid’) and you’ve got a movie quote. It’s nothing more than that, people – it’s not an insult at all.

        • herb says:

By implication, this LOL is making Cindy into either C3-PO or R2-D2 and John as Obi-Wan Kenobi. That’s not exactly a bad thing, there.

    • jellybeans says:

“Obama’s Babymama” is just ducky though right?

      • Evil Pundit says:

JUst as ducky as all the smears against Cindy McCain on this site.

“Trollop”. “Droid”. “Ageing Barbie”. “Vampire”. All of these made it to the front page of Pundit Kitchen.

        Stay classy, liberals.

      • michelleobama says:

She introduced him once as my baby’s dady… why is that ok?

        • michelleobama says:

          I mean I did…

        • jasper says:

For the same reason that if I called my sis a bitch and then you called her a bitch I would kick your butt for doing it.

          • ema says:

Would you call your sis a bitch in a speech during an important political campaign if you didn’t want everyone else calling her a bitch too? Or make it seem like it was ok to call here a bitch? That’s just wrong.

      • n8 says:

I get the feeling you think I’m a McCain partisan. That would be an erroneous assumption. I am merely of the opinion that attacks on candidates are fine, but bringing their families into it is wrong. Thus, no, “Obama’s Babymama” is not ducky in the slightest.

        Standards, people. Have some.

        • eddiepscetti says:

I would agree with that. However, if the the candidates spouse is of questionable character then they’re fair game as well.

          • jellybeans says:

I think that they sign up for this when the spouses run. I don’t think people should make fun of the kids because they have no say but spouses should be ready to stand up and take it.
They become political machines themselves. Cindy is in Georgia right now … coinciding with DNC – coincidence? Nope. Also, the attacks happened when the Obamas were on Vacation which allowed McCain to claim some spotlight.
Putin is claiming that it was American engineered to help one candidate win … who benefited from the coverage? I am not saying I believe Putin without proof but it does lend to speculation.

            • n8 says:

It’s not beyond possibility that the current administration would wag the dog a bit to make McCain look good, but I think that gives them too much credit. From what I could tell Bush was taken aback by the whole mess.

Like they say, he’s either a dolt or an evil genius, but he can’t be both. I tend to come down on the side of him being a dolt. Most of his minders have slipped away. Uncle Karl’s gone, Rummy before him, Ashcroft before that. He’s got Condi and Uncle Dick left. Condi is abroad (pun -fully- intended) most of the time, and Cheney has very little use left for Bush. In a few months’ time, I doubt Cheney will even return Bush’s calls.

              • criskit84 says:

I just had the most pitiful (but hilarious) picture run through my head…Bush sitting all forlorn beside an old, beat up white phone, muttering “but he used to call, I used to be his favorite…” then a lone tear…

              • jellybeans says:

It doesn’t have to be Bush, just any repugs that want their candidate in and care more about oil than they do about a few thousand deaths … which could be ALL OF THEM.
Don’t forget where the pipelines are. We have gone to war for oil before, we are in a war for oil now. Let’s add continued Repug power on top of oil and what do you get? WAR! YAY!
Out of Obama and McCain who benefits from war? McCain.
Out of Barak and Obama who claims war as a strong point in their campaign? McCain.
Out of Obama and McCain who would kill a couple thousand people to secure oil rights? McCain.
Out of Obama and McCain who was in Washington through the cold war and seems to be pushing for a resurrection? McCain

                • eddiepscetti says:

And let us not forget that it was the Democrats that allowed 50,000 of our soldiers to die in Vietnam because they wanted to run the war THEIR way (thanks LBJ). And that it was the Democrats that got us there in the first place. So say what you will about Republicans, but the Democrats have plenty of blood on their hands to atone for. And for the record, it was a Republican Administration that ended the Cold War in the first place!

                  • dude im on it says:

But that was then. We have a chance to change what’s going on now, no matter what your affiliation.

                    • eddiepscetti says:

“Those Who Forget History Are Doomed to Repeat It” – You can’t slough off what has happened just because it doesn’t fit into your preconceptions of how you want things to be.

                      • dude im on it says:

I’m not sloughing it off. I’m saying we can do what we can to NOT repeat it. There will always be fighting in the region, and right now, we’re putting our men and women in the way.

                        • eddiepscetti says:

I would agree.. I just don’t see Obama as the guy to lead us there. I’m not in favor of war, but I am in favor of protecting our interests and building the reputation of the United States back up. I’m just afraid Obama will sell out to get us there.

                        • dude im on it says:

And I see McCain as a little too ready to instigate, which isn’t the way America should go, in my opinion. But, let’s both go and vote our hearts in November, cause we both want the same ends.

                        • eddiepscetti says:

If he wins, you might be surprised. McCain has never been afraid to ‘buck tradition’ when it comes to the party line.

                        • dude im on it says:

Which is why quite a few conservatives don’t like him. And that makes me very sad. &@#% partisan politics!

                  • n8 says:

Reagan is given a lot of credit for “ending” the cold war, but I’m more of the opinion that it just happened to end on his watch. The factors that led to the fall of the Soviet Union were in motion before his tenure. I do give him credit for accelerating the process though, by spending the bastards into the ground.

Now though, it’s looking like the cold war was merely on hiatus. Maybe a cold war isn’t the kind of thing you can “win” permanently. Maybe “war” is just the wrong word for it. (Kind of like the “war” on drugs, poverty, etc.)

                  • fjaradvax says:

“it was a Republican Administration that ended the Cold War in the first place!”,
                    - and a Communist administration. Let’s not forget.

                    • eddiepscetti says:

Huh? How was Reagan’s Administration Communist? The fact is, Reagan outspent the Russians in defense. They just couldn’t keep up economically and he basically kept his promise to destroy the evil empire. The fact that Putin is ex-KGB, hence Communist, in fact does mean Communism has been in hiatus in Russia. But think about this, do you honestly believe that the Russian Mob is going to give control back so easily? I wouldn’t be the least but surprised if there are assasination attempts on Putin.

                  • Kurt says:

Communism in the Soviet Union was destined to fail from day one. All Reagan did was expedite it. Besides, is he the ONLY one who did anything to bring about the end of the cold war? Giving credit to Reagan for ending the cold war is like giving credit to the football player who kicks the winning goal at the end of the game. Sure, his efforts at the end secured the victory, but if not for everybody elses efforts, that last goal would have been essentially meaningless.

                    • eddiepscetti says:

Ok, there certainly were others who did their part. The truth is SDI scared the crap out of them and the spent themselves into the whole trying to keep up.

                      • eddiepscetti says:

grammar error: They spent themselves into the HOLE trying to keep up.

                        • Kurt says:

Not doubting that Reagan did play a significant part in it. AND you have to give props to anyone who names a major government program “Star Wars”

                        • eddiepscetti says:

ASAT.. how’s that? And for the uninitated, Anti-Satellite missles launched from an F-15. It was actually quite successful, just expensive as hell. Also, there’s still remnants of SDI still going strong.

  5. lowly grunt says:

Hey! What happened to the favorite button??!!??

  6. michelleobama says:

For the first time in my adult life I can honestly say, I’m really proud of PunditKitchen.com.

  7. Foamer says:

Hmmm – does this mean they are suggesting that McCain is a Jedi Master?

That’s something of a compliment now, isn’t it?

    • criskit84 says:

I believe “Sith Lord” would be the more fitting term, but obviously his force skills are lacking…we can still see she is an android covered by a thin and very leatherish looking skin cover.

  8. fjaradvax says:

Is that John ‘Bergerac’ Nettles in the back row?

  9. sup says:

She’s such a bobble head. Booooooring.

  10. imitation tofu says:

What an awful photo. She looks like a man.

  11. bleh says:

For some reason this photo reminds me of this:
    Miracle Max

  12. bleh says:

Seems a little reminiscent of The Princess Bride to me…

  13. bleh says:

why aren’t my comments showing up?!

    • bleh says:

dammit. click on my name… seems a little reminiscent of The Princess Bride to me (I surely hope this doesn’t show up 800 times with different wording… my apologies if it does!)

  14. haikumusicreview says:

Funny. She does look VERY stepford.

  15. Kaitlin says:

He looks more like the Sith Lord than Obi Wan. Regardless, Star Wars Win.

  16. Trainwreck Chaser says:

    I lol’d

  17. slackertarian says:

I submitted this LOL along with dozens of others over the past few days (as I am new here) I was just glad to see a couple of them make it to the homepage, thanks to all who gave a good vote. Glad I could make you LOL ;)

For the record, I am completely non-partisan, and I have no agenda. I’m just a lover of freedom. This means that no politico is safe from the likes of me, I’ll make fun of everyone.

Check the profile, you’ll see what I mean.

  18. monng says:

he’s got small turtle like hands!

  19. jojo says:

you guys do realize cindy mccain is a licensed drift racer?
    like in tokyo drift.
well, she actually went to japan to train.
she’s a lot more badass than the US-hate robot michelle obama
