Who is that in the picture? Tell us in the Comments
picture: dunno source, via our lol builder. lol caption: Drake-Magnum
Looks like a Darwin win to me! Anyone dumb enough to buy their kids an ar15… definatly needs to be removed from the gene pool.
Oh, and yeah, I realize that’s not really what’s happening in the pic… but good caption
I don’t know man, the AR-15 has very little kick back, no automatic, and is quite light. It is definitely the urban long range gun to have. Maybe a good starter for a little kid!!
Then when junior gets older you can put burst round on there, and go from there, maybe hollow-point bullets, lazer scopes, adjustable stock…..
Sounds like a good present to me
Ofcourse, you never know when the good ol’ US gets invaded by those sneaky communists and you need those kiddy soldiers. If Rwanda can do it, so can we
WOLVERINES!!!
i second that motion, ice_army. the parents who would buy this for their child surely must need a cup for the continuous flow of drool that comes out of their constantly agape mouths. procreation is not for everyone.
Oh, you mindless bigots and your stereotypes!
This Texan is college educated, reasonably articulate, scores consitently in the 130-140 range on standardized IQ tests, is gainfully employed and received his first assault rifle as a teenager.
If you were to follow the advice which many of you dish out so often, you might be less willing to stereotype. Read a book, particularly about Texas history following the Civil War, and be enlightened regarding our love for guns and distrust of government. End rant.
Who’ll be first to comment about my “consistently” typo?
Not I and our backgrounds are similar.
The Civil War has been over for quite a while now, so I don’t see how that is relevant to YOU. If college teaches us anything, it helps us make decisions for ourselves and not follow traditions blindly.
You may mount your gun on your wall and look at it lovingly, but this photo depicts a a different scenario. The child in this picture looks like he has other plans for that gun. That is a problem.
If college teaches us anything, it’s not to blindly follow politicians who want to disarm us!
… What exactly did you major in?
which one of my degrees? Including OCS?
Everyone does know that we have the right to bear arms under the constitution, right?
The only problem is your attitude.
You can tell from this picture what the kid’s long-term “plans” for the gun are? Impressive. Out of curiosity, what are they?
HAHA ROFL
Dude a war can affect generations, no matter what it is. I’ve traveled to Europe and there are still influences from the World Wars, no matter how subtle or not subtle they are, just cause it’s been a few years (in this case past a century) doesn’t mean it can’t affect people.
No, moi, he doesn’t look like he has other plans. He looks like he’s looking down the sights, which is the first thing anyone would do upon picking up a rifle that they wished to own.
And the fact that the war is over has nothing to do with the conversation. Notabubba wasn’t saying “my ancestors liked guns, therefore I do too.” What he was pointing out was that history, especially Texas history, has shown that when a government wants to control us beyond their Constitutional limitations, the first thing they do is disarm us. It happened under Mexican law, it happened under post-war Texas law (when northern governors were appointed). And it can happen again. Your response addresses nothing he said, and instead illustrates your own naivety and complete lack of understanding of all things firearms related. I highly suggest you read up on the history of firearms rights, and get yourself a few guns of your own to study. I suggest starting by reading the D.C. v. Heller case that case out in June.
Dude, get over yourself. This is supposed to be a funny website, for comic relief. Not trolls, like you.
If you notice, EVERYTHING gets made fun of here. So, let’s let the defenses rest while the rest of us enjoy the pictures.
The exception that proves the rule.
i’ll add to this: many texans DON’T actually love guns.
do you realise that here in civilised England we don’t give our children guns- now please give me one fucking example of a secondry school shooting in good ol’ Great Britian
Well in Britain you have a Bloody sixth of our population here in the US and its almost impossible to get a good gun over there because all of your legislature is Bollocks. You’re all at Sixes And Sevens over how your crime rate is skyrocketing and maybe it’s because your subjects (Ahem, “citizens”) can be raped and mugged in COMPLETE CONFIDENCE because they have no way of defending themselves without being arrested. There are frequent knife attacks in the place of shootings.
Steveo has it right. And gun crime is on the rise in merry old england. In fact, it is your “civilised” society that will ultimately make this gun ban go away. Because the more guns smuggled into england, and the higher the crime goes, the more desperate the government will become in its search for ways to protect its citizens. Now, in China, they would bring down the iron fist so hard that they would clean the streets of anyone who’d ever SEEN a gun. But in England, no one would stand for that. And neither will they stand for being slaughtered like sheep in the streets. And so, they will eventually return to the one remaining option: their citizens will be allowed to protect themselves once again. It might take 50 or even 100 years, but it’s coming.
my child does not have an AR15…. He has a scoped Ruger 10-22 in stainless with composite stock and he can hit a gnat at 50 yards…. I know.. he’s a bit behind the pack.
By the way, I have he AR15, (Colt ,preban, Match HBAR) in the household.
Afterall, it is state law here in Texas.
Yeah. That sounds about right.
dude total fucking win.
I wanted to caption this “Army. Doin’ it Wrong”
Maybe not. They’ve really relaxed their requirements in the past few years!
Hell yeah! I love texas!!!
Double Hell Yeah!
Triple hell yeah from Ausintowne.
I love my guns, cold dead hands, guns don’t kill ppeople, and all that jazz!
word bubble fail
Also, it’s tax free weekend.
Dude! When the zombies attack this kid will know how to survive cause of this! Go zombie killin’ kid! The world’s hopes are on your capable shoulders!
“Army. Doin’ it Wrong” is pretty awesome too.
“You are a good friend, but if zombies chase us, I’m tripping you.”
Saw that on a button.
Funny! I love buttons like that.
Zombies shrug off rifle bullets. You need a shotgun to take down a zombie.
You need a better rifle is all.
Personally, I’d much rather hit a zombie in the head with a high-powered 30.06 round from 200 yards away than wait for them to get close enough for a 12 guage spread to be accurate enough a shot to count.

Everyone knows gun shots attract zombies. Get that kid a silencer!
I think I would prefer a flamethrower in the even of zombies.
Actually, he should be palming the barrel, not gripping the ammo clip.
Some people find the barrel uncomfortable and difficult to maneuver with.
Besides, as long as you aren’t a Bumdass (yes) then you should be fine.
Looks like a pot plant in the background. Imminent death SUCCESS!
I was thinking the same thing. I think it’s supposed to be bamboo, but somebody sure took some artistic license there.
No gripping the clip is perfectly fine as long as your not a retard and hit the release button.
No, using proper grammar and punctuation is fine as long as you’re not a retard and spell “you’re” incorrectly.
Also, allowing the general populace to weild firearms is foolish and detrimental to a society.
Wasn’t that an Adolph Hitler quote ?
It could be detrimental if the vast majority of those wielding the guns are uneducated in safety and repeatedly kill themselves. On the other hand if all of those that have guns are taught proper safety and choose to follow it they should have guns. It will reduce crime and it will decrease accidental deaths caused by improper usage. Gun prevention laws do not prevent criminals from getting the weapons they want (or guerilla warriors for that matter) as they are already willing to break the law. While law abiding civilians who want to target practice, hunt, or competitions will not break a law in acquiring a weapon. It is understood though that at anytime if the populace was to decide the government needed to be removed through force that if they have weapons readily available it would be harder to control them. That to me is the primary reason, the only reason why the government would want to prevent law abiding citizens from owning any gun. That is an incorrect thought process as we should be able to overthrow them if needed. Not saying we should at the moment as there are still political methods of fixing the issue in our country. The criminals deserve to be punished, and harshly so. I think those that simply fear firearms because of the destructive possibilities are vastly miss-informed as to the repercussions of the populace owning guns and mostly fear the criminals. Fearing those that wish to harm you should not make you want to rid yourself of the only applicable defense you may have against them. Only if they are unarmed and you are unarmed would you not be in a position to use them, and even then they may be bigger, stronger, and well trained against a civilian with no combat training or experience. As a normally peaceful people need something to increase out ability to defend ourselves. Yes, we have police for keeping the peace and protecting the innocent, but when a mugger or robber pulls a weapon or is simply too much for you to defend yourself with out a weapon seconds decide if you live or die, not the minutes it will take for police to get there.
too long
>_>
True all the same.
Brought to you by the NRA.
Or…
They could be outlawed because countries with less accessibility have
lower rates of gun crime.
I would like to see a citing for that. I will look for counter point cites as well.
Take a look at the following Wikipedia articles; Lists_of_countries_by_gun_ownership; List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
Sort the second article by firearm homicides and notice how countries with less guns are also on the lower side of the homicides list.
Also notice the correlation at the other end of each list.
As I am sure you can tell by going over that list in all countries where guns are available the majority of deaths by gun were Suicide. In the US 7/10(approx) were suicides. Suicides are illegal in the USA and I would assume in most other countries as well, but this is not what one thinks about when considering Gun crime. We think of homicide. USA has the highest rate of homicide death in the more developed counties on the list. Finland (3rd on ownership), Switzerland (4th) have homicide rates of less than 1% of 100,000 while having 55 and 46 guns per 100,000 respectively. This is nearly half of the number of guns per 100,000 as the United States and less than 1/3 the homicide rate. And Japan where handguns are basically banned from civil ownership still manages to have a rate of .02 homicides of 100,000. Compare that to Italy which has 12 guns per 100,000 and a homicide rate second to the USA at 1.66 per 100,000 showing that low gun ownership isn’t necessarily equal to low homicide rates per gun ownership by guns. Then we must compare the total homicide rate per each of these counties to 100,000. Japan has an amazingly low rate of 1.10 or .5(The wiki needs a bit of clarification) as reported in 2000(No later dates are actually reported on Japan, curious no?) This puts their lack of guns minor over their already amazing low homicide rate. Maybe it’s a social thing. With Italy we have them hitting 1.23 Per 100,000 making gun homicide higher than the most recent report of total homicides, due to the citing of gun death being nearly 14 years old and the homicide information being 1-2 years old. Finland shows a total of 2.54 with only .86 being done with a gun. Comparatively they have a high gun ownership. Guns do not appear to be the cause of that huh? Switzerland has a homicide rate of 2.94 and only .58 caused by guns. I admit this is not exact as each of these are mismatching years but it gives an idea of a trend. USA had over 5 per 100,000 in homicides and over 3 were with a gun. The USA has a problem compared to the other countries listed, but we also have a problem with crime in general. Though we believe these numbers to simply point out how guns are the causes of crime as if guns are the leading reason why people commit suicide or homicide. The truth is if someone wants someone dead they will kill them with whatever they can get their dirty little hands on. Guns make it easier for the unskilled to kill, this works in both directions of defense (which is probably included in the list of homicides on this list of gun related deaths and not considered a crime). No matter how a person spins that guns are the cause of all these problems they are simply a tool used by criminals and suicidals to meet a goal. In histories past the bow and arrow, the sword, the dagger, pike, and spear were used in crime as much as they were used as they were needed. Always in history those with the better weapon or in some cases weapons at all trample those that don’t. The only way not to be trampled is to have weapons. These numbers you have presented only show that people will use the best tools available for them at any time. If they don’t have a gun to kill with then they can’t use it. Doesn’t mean it stops crime. Nothing can and criminals as you can see by Japan’s gun measure still manage to gain guns no matter the gun control. Criminals should not be able to, I completely agree with that. Suicidal individuals should get help, not guns. This may prove to you that removing guns will remove the problem; to me it just proves people use tools they have.
Oi, and the other one was too long? O.o
Removing guns won’t remove the problem entirely, but it will lessen it significantly.
By the sounds of it though, you were arguing “Guns don’t kill people, Americans kill people”.
.
Also, think of the mass murderers. One crazed person with one gun can shoot up a whole room before anyone gets the chance to stop them. One crazed person with one knife is going kill a far smaller number of people while everybody else runs away.
.
One thing that I thought of some time ago, is that guns take more technical
skill to use, but using knives or axes require losing more mental
inhibitions. That is, it is easier on a psychological level to use a gun.
But to spell wield “weild” is not retarded?
No, spelling correctly is fine as long as you’re not a retard and spell ‘wield’ incorrectly.
If you’re going to be a Grammar Nazi, at least get YOUR post correct. Dumbass.
how about being a retard and spelling weild incorrectly….. ?? go tards go!!!
…Kind of like how you just did?
I before E except after C! I believe the word you’re looking for is wield. Typos happen to everyone, people are in a hurry, there is no spell check here. However, if you are going to be an ass and call someone out on it, you should make sure you’re actually right, otherwise you look like a DUMBass instead.
yeah i went to that sale…Go Texas!
Wish I were young enough to qualify for that student discount… I would love a new AR15, but not at the typical price!
get an AK-74
No way, AR15 all the way man.
uh no… it was meant to point out how ——– spelled it… sheesh….
I can see how that gun could come in handy if you’re unhappy about your grades.
“Yo, teacher, are you sure you can’t change that C to an A on my math test?”
…and the teacher is pulling out his own AR-15 and summons parents…
BTW, if I am not mistaken, in Texas teachers now can have guns in the classrooms. Virginia Tech-type tragedy will not be pulled off that easily – just walking in plain sight from door to door, shooting and getting no resistance… Zombie slaughterhouse scenario *shudder*
Call me when that happens.
Sarcastic and to the point, i like it
Could go either way…
“2nd Amendment WIN”
or
“Gun Control FAIL”
I grew up in Texas and had my first .22 rifle at age six.
Certain cultures grow up with alcohol, e.g. the French, Italians, and those of the Jewish religion. The incidence of alcoholism among these groups is extremely low. Family guidance on appropriate use of alcohol seems to be the key factor.
Similarly, those who grow up with guns – and receive similar family guidance from a young age – are likewise inclined to treat them with the respect that they deserve, handle them safely and use them responsibly.
My kid’s a pretty good shot with my AR-15, and he knows how to handle it correctly. Pick up an old Sears Catalog reprint of the 1890 version- you could by rifles, pistols and even opium and cocaine (medical) all by mail and no registration. Yet we did not have school shooting problems back then.
What’s changed ?
the parents and the society changed.
all those laws .. or better absences of laws woult work, if all people were highly educated, would have caring parents, strong social bonds and so on ..
those gun-rules expect, that all people would obey to the laws, are caring and peace loving. we all know, that those conditions will never be true.
sure you can legalize guns but you have to gulp the toad, that your opponent will also have one. plus it takes less to pull the trigger, than ramming a knife in the guts. the inhibition threshold is much lower on using a gun.
I mean what’s changed that has caused all the shootings and school shootings?
Lack of Parenting.
Parent is a verb, people. Meaning action. Simply sitting there on your iPhone, making the Next Big Deal, watching soaps all day long from the couch, or otherwise ignoring your children and putting ALL their education on an already struggling school system isn’t parenting.
Parent your children, people. For the sake of the world.
Really? Because everyone over generations has always had all the time in the world to be a model parent? I find it hard to believe that parents are soley to blame. Each generation of parents have had their own hardships to deal with that maybe, just maybe, hasn’t allowed them to be as “hands-on” as it may be easy to imagine. I think one of the big differences is that we allow kids to be kids for much longer than they have been in the past, without having to have a real sense of responsibility until after high school. Also, even the part-time jobs that kids pick-up are more of a time-filler rather than a “responsibility,” for if they didn’t have the job it would be a rare occasion when their families would suffer for it. I think that says a lot when I look back at my grandparents’ generation in which they had to work to help support their families prior to starting families of their own.
well, you need a license to drive, a license to fish, a license to hunt, a license to do anything really, except be a parent. Does no one see anything wrong with that?
Yes. There should be less licences for some things, but your examples are not that good. Drivers and hunting licences (and gun licences) are supposed to be for safety. Hunting and fishing licences are to keep track of statistics a little better. To make sure people aren’t killing entire species.
what about the safety of the child? When did parenting supposedly not involve safety? I have seen far to many kids whose parents abuse them or, who never say no to them simply because they want to be friends with their child. Parents should say no to kids. should make them try to do things etc. your job, as a parent, is to take care of your child, feed them, clothe them, teach them right from wrong and love them. Your number one priority should be health and well being, followed by making sure they grow up as decent human beings. Way down on the list is their happiness. Good parents will have their kids mad at them, yelling “I hate you!” or other hurtful actions at least once. you cannot be your kids friend because as their parent you will require them to do things they will not like(clean your room, no you can’t have candy before bed, since you hit x you have to go in time out, etc.) It is a ficken hard job, and the wellbeing of the child and society is at stake. Do you think that a driver’s license is more important? or nesacary(sp?)?
Probably the biggest reason why a licence isn’t needed to be a parent, is
because it would be far too had to enforce. All that is required to be a parent is a set of working genitals and somewhere to use them. To drive though, you need a car.
And there are punishments for the worst of parents, mostly just taking the children away. If there was much more, then I think that would be society going to far in saying what is wrong and what is right.
Where is the line? How many toys is too many before they are spoiling their child? How many smacks is too many before they are abusing their child?
This. Caption. Is. Win.
I was born and raised in Texas. While I get nervous even being in the same room as a gun, I still think guns should be readily available to those who can use them responsibly.
Does this caption have anything to do with the fact that a school district here in the Lone Star State has recently decided that teachers may carry guns? I support THAT.
Not to be the dick, but I just wanted to point out that its definately an M4, not an AR-15
How can you tell that the child in the picture has ‘evil’ plans for the gun? Are you psychic? Being a Texan myself, I find this offensive. Why would you put down Texans, or Southerners, and stereotype who they are and what they believe? I love the animal pics on here, but the majority of the ‘funny’ political pics are leaning so far to the left, they might fall. Don’t make the assumption either that I’m all the way to the right. When is this country going to wake up and realize we have to work together to change things, not sit around and point fingers. If you aren’t registered to vote, please STFU….
