There were half a dozen candidates in the 2005 election. In the first round of the election, Ahmadinejad was in second place at a little under 20%. First place was not far ahead of him, so it went to round two where he gained a large majority.
He was elected legitimately and democratically.
He is also a conservative. So it would seem that you two have something in common.

Not sure about where you live, but in Australia it is a crime to gain profit from previous crimes. He would be given no more special treatment in prison than any other Muslim criminal.

And why would he get out of jail? There is a good chance his crimes would give him life in prison with no chance for parole (if we count out capital punishment).

For example, I think Obama is a bad candidate — but I don’t believe he is a secret Muslim or a communist spy. Similarly, people can oppose McCain or Bush without making up stories about evil Jewish neocon cabals.

After that, factor in the awfully convenient timing of elevated terror threats every time it seemed like some scandal or exposure of impropriety seemed to be brewing and OBL became little more than a handy scare tactic to make sure that the dumbest elements of our populace ran off willingly to duct tape themselves to “Daddy” with their fingers duly stained with cheeto dust and their pants proudly pissed. And speaking of Daddy figures, Ronnie and George HW Bush sure did a bang up job arming and training OBL and his pals back in the day, no?

Do you really think he could be anymore glorified than he is now? If we were to capture him and keep him alive, in a US prison the lawsuits would never stop. He would need special meals, prayer time and foot baths and female guards would probably be forced to cover. Then there would be the interviews, Baba Wawa, Larry King… Eventually he would write a tell all book and make millions for the jihad, get out of jail and then off to Hollywood.
