No, my point being, even an inferior animal, with the intelligence of a 3 year old human, can swim. Yes phelps is good at it, but anyone can do it.
It isn’t that ‘anyone can do it’, it’s about doing something that good. I can drive a car, but I’m pretty sure I would suck if you stuck me in an F1. So while you can try and minimize his accomplishments by comparing his ability to a dog, it really isn’t the same thing, is it?
So you (and/or your dog) would be able to swim as fast as that? Now that’s something I would pay to see!

not everyone can swim, it takes hours and hours of effort per week for years to do what phelps does. It takes technique, talent, natural ability and a fuckload of work and determination.
20 hours a week, 50 weeks a year. That’s what I do and I’m no where near phelps or even international standard. Imagine what he does!

Here Here! I swam all 4 years in high school and now swim about twice a week. what he does is incredible.

Yeah, according to one of the billion or so spotlights they did on him during the Olympics he has the legs of a man 6′ tall, but the torso of a man who is 6′ 8″. Plus those size 14 feet and his big ol’ ears. He must be one goofy looking fella in person.
