   Looking at the Pics of Bush in Beijing I feel compelled to say:
   1) in some he looked like a lech
   2) pretty much any guy would have looked like a lech in those
   3) he seemed genuinely proud of the athletes and they seemed honored by his attention.

   Doesn’t mean I like him or that I think he didn’t screw up 8 years of our country BUT he did well over there and he deserves a compliment or 2.
   —
   Of course given the number of pictures that he was caught scoping the volleyball players I can pretty much guarantee a lot of bawdy jokes in the future…. please see #2

     This was supposed to be more complimentary. It came out as a bit more back-handed than I meant it to.
     Bush’s conduct was exemplary in Beijing. He should be commended.
     And – his wife is pure class. I have always admired Laura.

     That is most likely the last and only nice thing I will say about him … hope no one I know sees it …

       Even if they did, so what? This is a developing country we’re talking about, not a developed country. Changes have to be made in order for it to be as successful as us.
