I want to know,
1)since when did gossip become news? Unless it’s illegal and there is proof I really do not see why anyone should care. Is adultery illegal? In some places it is. But if its not illegal in the states why do you care? and if it is why arent the people who commit adultery ending up in prison?
2) when did politics become real life? I know my country’s politicians are nothing like the real people. I believe the majority would like our politicians locked up for being scum and ripping us all off. Since we can’t do that those of us who do vote vote for the lies that are less offensive to us. We all know it’s a bunch of lies, but you can’t find an honest person in politics.

That’s where you would (as per your usual) be utterly mistaken…I’m disgusted by Edwards for what he has done, not for his admission of having done it. I’m disgusted by the fact that he lied about it for so long just like i was disgusted by Spitzer and his actions. Unlike most of you wingers i’ve seen here and throughout the blogosphere, my partisanship is not an unwavering religion unto itself. By the same token i find it funny that when a Repub gets caught with his pants down, legions of mouth-breathers come out of the woodwork proclaiming it to be “liberal lies and proof of media bias” while still proclaiming themselves to be paragons of “Personal Responsibility” with no recognition of the irony

But then, as we’ve seen from the Edwards affair, they cover up for Democrats while they pursue Republicans relentlessly.

Okay so there were a bunch of guys who illegally gave more to McCain than is allowed, but wait these were funds coming from Jordanian and Arab contracting sources who were not only skimming profits but have questionable Arab ties. If this were Obama’s campaign it would have been the top headline in every paper “Obama funded by Al Quaeda!”

You have to admit, there’s a good point to this one. I mean, in every thread there’s a “McCain is old” comment even if McCain’s not in the picture at all or even mentioned. It’s really tiresome. I mean, we’re suppose to be creative here, yet no one can think of a single new thing except to unfairly bash Bush for things that are actually the fault of congress. Or to make jokes about McCain’s age or Obama’s race. It’s stupid. Think of something new. Go to Amazon.com and look up the book “Target: Caught In The Crosshairs Of Bill & Hillary Clinton” – that alone should give you all sorts of new jokes at Bill and Hillary’s expense.

Now that’s there’s irrefutable proof and Edwards is openly admitting everything, of course they are. But the fact is that had they been capable of it, they would have kept covering for him.
