Give me a more substantial nugget of news to give a damn about and I’m sure I will. Sex scandals? Unless it’s an unveil of hypocrisy (as was the case for, say, Santorum), it’s just housewife gossip fodder.

And it’s certainly not news that if one wants to be fully informed, they need to go further than the mainstream media. We liberals were made well-aware of this ourselves in recent years.

There’s no such thing as a source that’s completely non-partisan and unbiased.

But one of the small newspaper reports I mentioned is linked under my name.

Of significance is the fact that the New York Times ran a front-page story alleging that John McCain had an affair, based on far flimsier evidence. But it won’t touch the Edwards story.
