A while ago I’ve seen a pretty nice documentairy about it on National Geographic, connecting the 2 with eachother via some route near the nearby river for some kind of summer and winter/life and death ritual or celebration. Very interesting stuff.
I like the way they’ve used concrete to mark the old postholes. How very special.

There’s a Woodhenge just down the road from Stone Henge. I heartily recommend going to visit it if you have a car. It’s marked on the local maps, not more than a 10 minute drive from Stonehenge.
