No George, Maggie cannot come out to play.
HURR HURR BUSH IS DUM
Just because you admit it now doesn’t mean we are going to stop laughing at him.
I thought that was a ‘losing his international power base’ cap, not a ‘dumb’ one. Works both ways, though, if you insist
Yeah actually I didn’t really get the ‘Bush is dumb’ reference. But I thought I’d defend my right to call him dumb anyway.
“Bush is dumb” fits every single moment of his life, every event, every action. Because, well, he is.
That’s true. It’s hard to talk about the president at all, without suggesting he is dumb. Without being full of shit of course.
I salute the courage it must have taken for you to finally admit that after defending the man for so long. But the fact that you think this is a ‘Bush is dumb’ joke just illustrates the stupidity and political naivete of Bush supporters. The joke is not referring to Tony Snow being dead and Bush not understanding that he won’t be coming back. Tony Blair, not Tony Snow.
Way to state the obvious.
ok, I’m just as sick of Bush as *most* other americans, but there really are alot of ”how dumb can he be” pics ou there…. must be the blank/simpleton expression he has on all the time…..
BORING!!
Yet, you chose to comment. Must not be THAT boring.
Ever notice how George gets up in people’s personal space? Awkward….
Maybe he is planning to rub Brown’s shoulders.
LOL – the look on that French minister’s face was seriously priceless when he started pawing at her.
That was Angela Merkel, the German chancellor if I am not mistaken. But yes, she looked a bit ’surprised’.
it was pricless
Sad. You don’t even get what this is referring to, do you? Hint: it isn’t about Tony Snow.
What does that have to do with the fact that it is BORING!!!
Okay, let me try to explain it for you obviously simple minded Bush supporters. Tony Blair was a big supporter of Bush’s insane policies. Gordon Brown, not so much. The joke is that Bush goes looking for some nice butt licking like he used to get from Blair, only Gordon Brown is PM now, so its not happening.
Admit it: you, like all Bush supporters, have no clue about politics outside the US, and you thought this was another ‘Bush is dumb’ joke relating to Tony Snow. It’s not. It’s a ‘Bush has no political allies anywhere in the world’ joke.
Did I ever say this related to Tony Snow??? Where did I say that, I only said it was BORING!!! I think you just wanted to show everyone how much you know about it, not sure why, maybe because no one ever really asks you what you think, sorry, it must be lonely.
Okay, please explain why you think it is boring, specifically? I can understand that thinking another ‘Bush is teh dum’ joke is boring, because that joke has been done to death. But this is fresh and new.
–
So, what did you think this referred to, pray tell? And why would that thing that you thought it referred to be old and tired, hmmm? C’mon, just admit that you didn’t get the joke. Your little defense of your own ignorance at this point is just sad.
DAMN IT SETH! Why are you urging her on? I agree with a lot of what she says WHEN SHE SAYS SOMETHING. But, here, she is not saying anything and please for the love of all, do not egg her on. Besides, asking why something is boring is like asking why something does not exist. It is hard to prove a negative.
Okay, sorry. No more egging her on. I may be a complete dick, but I will stop if someone says please.
Gee Steve, relax… I can handle myself. Maybe you believe Seth.
Ema, please, I love having you here. But just calling somehting boring is a waste of space. Add to the conversation or leave it alone.
Sorry Steve, but sometimes that is just all I have to say, it gets exhausting to see these same types of lols over and over again and they just aren’t funny. Well, maybe I just should leave. Failblog is fun…
Then take your ball and go home, drama queen.
Ooh. Flouncy flouncy.
Seth, why don’t you admit that this is a set up to showcase your grand intelligence in your own estimation. I never said this was Tony Snow, not once. I find it boring because it is another attempt to attack Bush, as if Bush himself does not know that Tony Blair is not coming back. If that were true, then yes Bush would be stupid. It is after all, more of the same.
I promised Steve I wouldn’t egg you on anymore. But you claim to be able to handle yourself, so…
–
It doesn’t take any kind of grand intelligence to get this joke. Seriously, if this were some kind of plan of mine to make myself look smart, I’d be pretty dumb. ‘Look at me, I know who the PM of the UK is!!11eleven!’
–
The point isn’t that Bush doesn’t know Blair isn’t coming back. The point is that he really, really wants his butt licked and there’s no one left who will do it for him, get it? He has no friends anywhere, THAT is the joke that you continue to fail to get.
The point is that he really, really wants his butt licked and there’s no one left who will do it for him = Bush is dumb. Same old tripe. Thank you. Now please stop acting like a rabid dog and contain yourself. You have not made any kind of point here to anyone.
look who’s the idiot, seth. where is your proof that it’s about tony blair? Even if you had some, your stereotyping of bush supporters makes you an idiot a$$hole who thinks they know more about everything than everybody else. you FAIL.
because it is taken at #10 Downing street … former home of Tony Blair …
Were we looking for idiots still? It is not as much fun playing hide and seek when the seekee jumps up and waves their arms.
I think it was the word TONY in the caption.
And the whole British Prime Minister thing. And that they are standing outside Number 10 Downing Street. There ARE other countries apart from America you know.
who is Tony Snow?
Which you are still commenting on.
I am trying to make things interesting. If it was just you crotchnozzles or what ever you call yourselves it would be painful.
And you are still here…. I bet you come back to see what I wrote!
Oh, and it’s “crotchwaffle” and “douchenozzle” which shows a serious obsession with lady parts, imo.
no kidding!!
And what is wrong with that?
“How’s about a kiss, love?”
“Not in front of the paparazzi, George!”
Hee!
That’s funnier than the actual caption.
Poor Mr.Snow, he was so smart! I don’t think it’s right to make a joke about his death really, but I wouldn’t say I’m offended.
hoo, boy…. the caption’s referring to Tony Blair, ex-PM, not Tony Snow, R.I.P….
Seth and FB, you are both just as guilty of jumping to conclusions. You don’t know for sure that it isn’t reffering to Tony Snow or Tony Blair. Perhaps, it was reffering to Tony Clifton or Tony Soprano.
You honestly don’t recognize the man and the door in the picture, do you? Sad how little most Americans, especially Bush supporters, know about politics outside their own country.
It’s actually reffering to Tony Danza.
LOL!
Hold me close young Tony Danza…
Count the head lice on the highway…
…or based on sentance structure it is talking about someone named George Tony… not sure who that is.
Ummm… do you see the “10″? I’ll give you 3 guesses what that could possibly signify…
The IQ of the average Bush supporter?
The total number of people left on the planet who support Bush?
The highest number George can count to without taking off his shoes?
very anti-bush/american here. this is my kinda place
Public notice: If you hate “Bush is dumb” jokes then frequenting political satire sites may be a symptom of some kind of ingrained masochistic fetish.
That must be it.
And Kinson, why would anyone stand in front of 10 Downing Street and talk about Tony Clifton or Tony Soprano or Tony Snow? None of them were PM.
Hey now, just because they are standing in front of 10 Downing Street and just because there was a prime minister named Tony that supported Bush does NOT mean they are talking about Tony Blair. Stop leaping to unfounded conclusions without the benefit of logic people. (Also, that was sarcasm, since the obvious is overlooked sometimes.)
Thank you, Jane. Parts of this discussion really did need that kind of a refresher. (meant as a compliment, sincerely.)
can some one please tell me who Tony snow is
Yes… but then again so was voting him into office.
Wow. I knew Bush supporters were dumb, uneducated, and unaware of politics outside the US, but the level of ignorance displayed here and the concomitant TOTAL SMACKDOWN is nothing short of hilarious. You Bush supporters must be so embarrassed. Way to prove all the stereotypes about you are true.
YOu are no better than a racist or homophob. The way that you stereotype people and believe that two or three ignorant people represent the whole should embarass you. That is, if you are capable of feeling embarrased. Not that I am a Bush supporter, but I am not a Bush hater either. I can see where he effed up and where he did well. The world is not black and white, and that is where you fail: That is all you see. But seeing that world in such a simple probably makes it easier for you to understand, right?
The world may not be black and white, but zebras are. And Bush supporters are stupid. Not someone who voted for him once. Someone who voted for him the second time has to qualify as mildly retarded, given his record at that point. But I am surprised that there is anyone left to support him at this point, as people that dumb are in constant danger of forgetting to breath.
–
How else can you explain their support, given the man’s record? What possible mechanism could lead anyone with half a brain to continue to support the man? And my assessment of Bush supporter’s intelligence is in no way similar to racism or homophobia. People do not choose to be born gay, they do not choose what race they are, but they DO choose to do stupid things.
–
Thinking that a Bush supporter is stupid is like thinking that someone who deliberately stuck a fork in their eye must be stupid. Sorry, but that is how the majority of people in the world view Bush supporters.
You continue with your simplification of the issues, thus proving my point about you. You devalue your criticism. One thing we all forget is that he was running against someone both times that were pretty bad. I do not know anyone that voted for him the second time that did not think to themselves, ‘Who else am I going to vote for?” I would say that anyone who thinks he is fantastic and walks on water is probably less than gifted (read: stupid). I would say that someone who can see both sides of the issues is probably fair and capable of rendering a constructive criticism. I would say that someone who says everything he has done in his life is horrible is just as minimially gifted as the person who thinks everything he does is great.
Name one great thing Bush has done. His touch is poison, he ruins everything he comes in contact with. Has he ever succeeded at business, even when handed business after business and gobs of money? Has he succeeded at sports? In the military? In politics? In ANYTHING? No. He is one of the saddest failures the human race has ever seen.
Well, it is interesting that Bono (not exactly a Bush enthusiast) has praised Bushes records on dealing with AIDS in Africa. And Bob Geldoff (from Pink Floyd, again, not know for his conservative ideals) has praised Bush as being on of the only world leaders to stand by the continent in terms of addressing poverty. His administration did manage to keep the economy afloat following a major attack on US soil at a time when most were predicting at least a short term recession. There, I named three.
Bush does not set the foreign aid budget, congress does. And the people of America kept the economy afloat, Bush just made it harder for us with policies that even his own father, back in the day, referred to as ‘voodoo economics.’
So, basically what you’re saying is that anything good that happens while a President you dont like is in office wasn’t his doing, but anything bad that happens is his fault?
Stop for a moment and think about how ridiculous that sounds. If the economy goes well its because of the American people, if it goes bad its the Presidents fault? Not sure where the logic comes in there. Correct me if I’m confused on your viewpoint, but it seems fairly absurd.
Eh? When did I say that anything bad that happens is Bush’s fault? Reading comprehension, you should try it.
Come on Seth, you are not this stupid. I gave you three things that Bush has done well. It was under the policies of his administration. The Exectutive Office (Bush) is where the first proposed budget comes from (The Office of Management and Budget). The budget is not passed without a signature from the President as the budget is passed as a law (Authorization Act). And without the emphasis of the President, these items would not have been addressed. These are three areas where he is largely credited with showing good leadership. Your inability, or unwillingness to admit, that there are things he has done that has turned out well shows a certain ignorance or naivete. 1. You may be too simple to understand subtle nuances in politics. 2. You may be unwilling to recognize the same nuances, in which case, see number 1.
well thats pretty much wat happens with all our british PMs at least gordon brown hes managed 2 completely fuck up the country
Sorry to be an arse, but Bob Geldof was in the Boomtown Rats, not Pink Floyd.
You are correct. He does, however, have a close relationship with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, which led to my confusion. I apologize. But the point remains, a guy from a punk band that praises Bush has to mean something.
Bob Geldoff from Pink Floyd? Oh my word, if you are going to make ridiculous comments like that then how is anyone supposed to take you seriously? (For anyone who is confused, Bob Geldoff was frontman of the Boomtown Rats, an Irish New Wave band, not Pink Floyd, an English Rock Band). Deary me.
But, I must thank you for again illustrating my point.
While I see the point you are trying to make, I suspect Bush has achieved far more of what people consider “success” in his life than you and your entire family put together.
Do not mistake this for a personal attack, the same is true of myself, and probably most of us here. But someone who has served two-terms in the single most powerful political office in the world is far from a failure. A lot of far smarter, far more experienced people have tried and failed to get into that position.
So going so far as to call him “the saddest failure the human race has ever seen” is pretty ridiculous. Guess it depends on your definition of failure though. Bush has probably accomplished every goal he set out to do, politically, so that in my mind makes him successful, regardless of the outcome to everyone else.
Plenty of people in this country who fail so hard they can’t even hold down a minimum wage job, or spend every waking moment trolling the internet. I’d say Bush has them beat by far in the success department.
Seth is just your typical, deluded leftist. Recognising reality is not his strong point.
It´s hard in general to make people realize that when they think they have more influence on the world then they do. While he may not have stated it he has viewed himself as high and mighty in certain areas, and then says ´I´m better then this this or this person, I´m awesome´
Denying this is lying to yourself otherwise you wouldn´t CONSTANTLY be mocking every single conservative on here and exploding in your pants every time you make a funny ´Bush is dumb joke ´
you have some serious hate issues. Guarntee you if I met you´d either realize your being a douche and we´d be friends or you are extremely introverted to the point where you don´t trust anyone.
And yes I honestly think we could be friends seth. While it may sound big headed I´ve made a lot of different friends from many sides of the political spectrum and have found common ground with them all. You probably aren´t an exception.
This thread was hilarious. ;D
Indeed, quite a good read.
Though, I do feel kinda bad for not knowing the new PM’s name, or that about Number 10. But, on the upside, I’ve learned something new today anyway.
Don’t worry about it. He’s a bit of a non-entity anyway.
And will be gone as soon as he has the balls to call an election!
Indeed he will.
Gordon Brown and he’ll go pretty soon. Hopefully. I loved readin all these arguments very interesting especially between Steve and Seth.
inni absolutely. The conservatives are going to be in and poor people will be rounded up and shot, we will dragged by tugboat away from Europe, the slave trade will be legalised, all the immigrants will be marched into the sea… and it will be worth it to get some distance from Washington.
Hi, I made this caption. Its a joke about Tony Blair leaving, and Gordon Brown not being an ally of George Bush.
Its not exactly a “Bush is dumb” joke, but okay to read it as such.
I’d never even heard of Tony Snow (RIP) before this thread.
Its a political joke, but about British politics, so if you don’t get it and you’re not British then its okay.
Thanks for making this on the front page and for everyone who favorited it. I was surprised!
It made the front page solely because it’s a “Bush is Dumb” LOL- no other reason…….
They’re not all jokes about Bush being dumb on the front page. I doubt all “Bush is dumb” jokes get there.
I don’t know why this LOL got there.
I find a lot of stuff funny, but this is just in bad taste. I can’t believe people would vote for this it is gross.
What do you mean? You comment on the wrong picture? This is a picture of George Dubya Bush and Gordon Dubya Brown (comic book villain) talking about Bush’s buddy Tony Blair no longer being in office.
Bad taste how?
how is it bad taste?
