I don’t think I would have voted for McCain anyway, but the popped collar just about promised my vote to Bob Barr.
I’ve been seriously considering voting for Barr, but, I know he won’t win (projected to win 3% now) and if he gets too many votes it is almost a given that Obama will win. So, no, I will probably vote McCain. I will be getting involved in my local Libertarian Party though, which is quite small in my state. There is currently only one person running in the LP here, and, it is not in my district. I may even consider running for an office myself once I get myself better situated and settle into a more permanant home. I’m sure I’ll get Seth’s vote.

I find it odd you are interested in The Party of Principle from the things that come out of your mouth (or fingers) on this blog. Read what Libertarians stand for, it’s pretty awesome. And yur doin’ it wrong.

Um, what makes you think you know what party I’m registered to? Your crystal ball? The only two parties I’ve ever been registered with are the REPUBLICAN party (huge disappointment, I was young and stupid) and as an Independent, where I’ll stay. I cross party line because I vote or CANDIDATES, not parties. I like the Libertarians very much, please don’t join them, they don’t need people like you to drag them down.
Most of your posts on this site appear left leaning. Your just pissy at me because I disagree with global warming. If what I have said on this forum don’t seem to align with the LP then I’m not sure what party someone who is against big government should lean toward. I agree with the LP straight down the board on nearly every stance they take. How does disagreement towards Progressives make me a poor representative of a right wing party? You don’t even claim to be affiliated in any way with them.
What makes you think the LP is right wing? Do I lean left? Absolutely. But so does the LP on issues such as abortion and gay marriage. Are those right wing? Not by a long shot. And if you look at the continuum, the LP draws from the left AND the right, just on different issues.
I don’t believe in Santa or the tooth fairy. But when scientists say the only planet we have is in peril, I tend to listen. If you’re actually an environmental scientist who studies global warming trends year after year, I’d listen. Methinks you’re not.

1.) I don’t think his collar is “popped” on purpose. It just looks like a fleece pullover that he forgot to turn the collar down on. If it was a polo shirt, maybe. If forgetting to put the collar of your jacket a certain way makes you a “douchebag,” then probably most people are guilty of douchebaggery from time to time.
2.) But having said that, the caption was still entertaining.

I don’t think anyone thought McCain popped his collar on purpose (well maybe someone did, but their an idiot) and the only person who gets douchebag status by way of popped collar is that jackass in the picture underneath McCain.
As for the other, yeah, I’ve seen party bickering on a lot of pictures, but this one wasn’t really making fun of anyone or even trying for an intellectual political satire. It was just generally funny. Get over it.
