LOL!
LOL so true
Wow. An actual funny posting. Though the moderator was probably confused and thought it was a rip on Bush, instead of a rip on the morons who blame Bush for everything wrong with the universe, and believe the world was an idyllic paradise 8 years ago.
LOL, im sure this can be linked to Bush
Of course, you are not smart enough to see the pattern: Bush did not sign Kyoto, which means he is at fault for Global Warming (since it is now a religion we have to captialize it, of course), which caused this particular weather incident (all rain, drought, wind, heat, and cold are caused by Glo…oops it’s now Climate Change), which washed out the road. Get with the program!
Global warming = religion?
MrsFlibble = talking asshat.
Sarcasm isn’t your strong point, is it?
Actually, no, it’s not.
Okay, lol, that just made my freaking day. And I’ve had a bad *bad* day.
At least ou admitted it. Its the first step.
what does asshat mean?
Sort of like an asshole, but with a hat instead.
They even march in parades.
You’re correct except the part about religion. Ignoring climate change will bite us all. Except for Bush – he’ll be safe in Paraguay on his new 100K acres over the aquifer.
Yeah, the Martians are really stressed out about the exact same climate change that is happening on their planet, too. When is Internet Al going to shoot “An Inconvenient Truth 2: The Red Planet Gets Redder?”
Duh!
Global warming is now “climate change” because there was no evidence to support the theory that the world was getting warmer, so they had to come up with a new buzz word that morons repeat.
A wonderful day for trolls, I see.
Kyoto never solved any climate “crisis”. And oh, by the way… we’re apparently approaching a new ice age – no more global warming. Phew, glad that’s over. It’d be just awful if the world had a global tropical climate.
I remember when we were last confidently approaching a new ice age – 1974.
Snow in July. Labrador Bay never thawed…
1976 – my right ear cartilage is still pitted from the sun burn I got. You could swim, comfortably in the North Sea (which never happens)
So, Chicken Little, stick your predictions… we’re no closer to an ice age than we are to a hell planet… climates change, that’s what they do… and sometimes (although climatologists don’t look at archaeology or geology in fine detail) there’s evidence of rapid change…
Exactly, Lolnathan. This lol is sarcasm! It’s not a bash on Bush! I know; I made it.
The moderator was probably confused… sure, or maybe you guys are confused every time you insist there’s a conspiracy against pro-Bush or anti-Dem lolz. You guys are over on the “fake smile” one too insisting that it’s an anomaly. If you can’t appreciate humor coming from a side you disagree with, why can’t you just enjoy the ones you agree with and scowl at the ones you don’t and stop trying to pretend you’re oppressed.
Well, that fake smile one is nothing compared to saying John McCains wife looks like the borg queen. No one is saying what Obama’s wife looks like. They just throw these harmless lol’s out to shut us up from complaining.
And the conspiracy continues…
“They don’t put up jokes for people who like Bush!”
They post one.
“They are just doing it to shut us up from complaining!”
Even if they are, they did put up a joke in favor of Bush. Voluntarily. So that disproves your original assertion that they don’t put up such jokes. And if they want to or don’t want to appease you, that’s not within your power to control. If you want pro-Bush lols, start your own website.
I see, so if I want “pro-Bush” lols…, I need to start my own website…, because… this one must be pro-Obama! So, I was right!
If you want to be in control of the lols, then you start a website. This one isn’t yours. You aren’t in control. So you shouldn’t expect exactly what you want. If it doesn’t suit your interests, find another site that does. If you want the current owners of the site to change, well then ask them instead of pleading your case to people who couldn’t change a thing if they wanted to. They DO post jokes about Obama, but there’s very little to legitimately nail him on (besides his policies of course, but that’s not where the funny jokes generally come from).
So the only two positions in the world are “pro-Bush” and “pro-Obama”? What a broad and diverse world view you have!
Please explain that to Seth.
You know, I will just throw this out there. This would be a much more interesting site and would draw more hits and attention if somehow an occassional Obama spoiler would just appear on the front page. I mean a real zinger, something that would make Obama fans blood boil. I know people are making them but they never even make it to the voting stages. It would be really much more fun. Imagine the outrage and the comments flying! After all balance in everything is much healthier, right? Just a suggestion.
Just like a Crotchwaffler to suggest circumventing a democratic process and putting in a fix, just to get at the Douchenozzles….
Well, it’s just a website, not too sure how democratic the process is…
uh…..Have you even heard of the Fairness doctrine? Completely endorsed by Democrats, saying that you have to have equal time for both republican and democrat news……
Please look that up, and if it doesn´t make you sick of how it spits on the first amendment, then can you read the origins of the first amendment and why their were important to the founders?
Seriously like Hiliary LOVES this idea…
Just to throw this out there, but you should plead your case to the administrators of this site, not on some random message board. And if you have no proof to back it up (like perhaps and independent study or maybe just a really good example) then why would they listen to you except maybe their own gut feeling–much like all you have is a gut feeling (read: guess) that your way would work better.
*sings* “Let my lols go…… Let my lols go……”
Good news is that no matter which way you interpret this, it’s still pretty funny. So, take 5, ok?
It’s most definitely a partial rip on the people who attribute everything to Bush, and partly a tribute to the fact that…a substantial amount of America’s problems today ARE his and his administration’s fault.
Hah!
I’m sure it’s NOT his fault, but it is pretty flippin’ funny.
Where once stood Highway A, Colubia county, WI now is epic nature fail.
*Columbia
More like an epic nature WIN.
Huzzah!
Now *that* made *my* day (which, similar to yours, had been epically failtacular)
That´s in Wiscosin? Where is Columbia county? Is that part of the dells? I´ve been stuck in spain for the last two months and I go to school near La Crosse and I´m from Milwaukee. I really want to be updated.
Yeah, a lot has happened in Wisconsin, it was even on CNN. Lots of flooding. Nearly every county in southern Wisconsin was declared a disaster by FEMA. This picture is of Lake Delton, which is near the Dells. Tommy Bartlett did his water show in Lake Delton. Lake Delton is completely drained now after flooding swelled it and it broke through Hwy A.
http://www.madison.com/wsj/home/local/gallery/index.php?ntgalleryid=290547&ntimgnum=n119
a slideshow of damage from Madison.com.
Columbia County is sort of between Madison and the Dells – Portage.
I hope they build a bridge over this and put a sign up that we’re driving over “Bush’s Fault.” ROFLMAO PIP SIS BBQ
I would find that very funny.
But I´m glad the water didn´t hit the miwlaukee area to hard
my friend is from Iowa though and man……….I don´t know whats left there.
Yes, this is where Lake Delton, in the Wisconsin Dells, broke through County A and drained into the Wisconsin River. Most of the flooding happened in that area, and in some areas south, especially along the Rock river. Some parts of Beloit, Janesville, Newville and Jefferson were flooded. Things are looking better now, except for Lake Delton. They hope to have it repaired and refilled by next spring though.
lol
nice
Much as I’d like to blame Bush, this isn’t his fault, nor nature’s.
It’s an epic human fail, we foolishly built a road where a river wanted to be.
Water nearly always finds a way…
Clearly, Bush somehow oppressed the road and it collapsed…. ;o)
NONONO, not the road! Repubs LOVE roads!
Bush imprisoned the water without habeas corpus and due process.
Eventually a crack team of earthworms and moles supported by AmInt infiltrated the prison and set the water free!
LOL
Bush lied and roads slide.
FTW!!!1!
5/5 for me.
lol.
Best punditkitchen lol I’ve seen in a long time.
Bush don’t care about Black Roads !!!!
Indeed!
This is pretty good, kudos!
I love it, I love the little bunch of democrats standing by and moaning, it just makes the picture even better. How can I tell that theyre democrats? They’re out in nature of course.
MrsFlibble is right. Global warming, oops, climate change, oops, global cooling has turned into a fundamentalist religion. Listen to anything Pope AlGore says and compare it to a Fred Phelps or Moqtada alSadr. The tone is the same. Anyone who doesn’t agree is a heretic. I’m all for conservation of resources and wise use, but let’s stop turning global whining into a religion
Science does not equal religion … check out 350.org
“Global Warming” is used by the Left, “Climate Change” is used by the Right (per advice from Frank Luntz). “Global Climate Destabilization” is what Scientists use. This is a human caused event that needs addressing NOW. We’re currently at 387 parts per million of CO2. It was under 300 ppm when my father was a kid. 350 ppm is needed to support life as we know it. We go up 2 ppm per year… this isn’t rocket science.
Apparently you need to clarify…
“It was under 300 ppm when my father was a kid. 350 ppm is needed to support life as we know it.”
So how did your father survive to bear you? (CO2 < 300 ppm < 350 needed to support life = your father and all life dies)
Scientology.

Ozzie Mandius said 5 hours ago: You’re correct except the part about religion. Ignoring climate change will bite us all.
That’s the point – it’s become a religion, and a nasty one to boot. Climate change, if it’s happening, has little, if anything to do with man, and more to do with solar cycles. Or does that violate the official dogma of the First Church of AlGore?
You are sadly misinformed, Steve. But good luck with your crusade.
Steve is right. Also, you are the one who appears to be involved in the religious crusade. Do you feel that us heretics will doom the planet?
the solar cycles are involved – thats for sure.
but the greenhouseeffekt is also doing his job. it will slowly warm up our planet till the whole system falls over.
lets take the gulf stream as an example.
the gulfstream in a streamcycle, that starts in the gulf of mexico were the warm water is driven northwards across the atlantic ocean. here it warms the north see the british isles, the german bight, and skandinavia. the warm water gets far to the north to the pole region and there it cools down. the cold water has a higher density and therefor it “falls” down in the ground. now it flows back (several kilometers beneath the warm stream) to the gulf of mexico. here the overheating of the gulf of mexico is buffered by the cold water. if the gulfstream is cut off one day, due to changes in the density system caused by freshwater flowing in from the pole ice, the gulf of mexico will overheat and will benefit extreme weather conditions like extreme thunderstorms. the weather in europe would change into the other extreme – cold weather which could cause the north sea to freeze in winter.
by the way .. the gulfstream IS slowing down .. new scientific results are proving it. and those results are from europe – not the us.
Thank you, Someone, for your intelligent comment. I was going to simply ask Steve and Kinson to go hang out on Free Republic, where they would be with their own people and much happier.
He, by no means, proved any points in his comment.
You guys all worry about the future and don’t stop and look around at the present. The future can and will wait if you want it to. So stop worrying so much about stuff that might never happen in your lifetime.
with all due respect.
the climate is changing right now. that is fact. the gulfstream will collapse some day. it is not the question if it will collapse, it is the question when its going to happen. it may not happen in my lifetime, but maybe my grandchild will see it in a distant future.
yes steve is right with the solar cycles but it is only the tip of the iceberg.
a warm solar cycle only speeds up the process of warming.
it is one of many fasctors, that benefits the global warming. but things are not normal anymore. we can feel the weather changes in central europe. i toke a picture of a tornado 3 years ago. it apeared in northern bremen. our climate here did not benefit those weather conditions since the start of the weather records. in the past few years, extreme weather is getting more and more usual. other factors are tons of carbon dioxide, more tons of methane whis is 30 times stronger than CO2, and tons of vapour evaporating from the oceans. all those compounds are keeping the thermal energy whithin our atmotpheare.
those are sad facts. nothing more .. nothing less.
correct me if i am wrong but didn’t a temp. increase happen once before?
there were always fluctuations in the world temperature. i worked for a university workgroup, who had focused on the world climate. the results showed, that the earth warmed up and cooled down. but the procces took several thousand or even million years in each direction. you can compare it with a teeterboard – thow a very slow teeterboard.
we take records of the weather in germany for a long time and the warm up is definately to fast for a natural cycle.
and the warming started short after the industrialisation in europe.
in the other direction: the mt. st. helen explosion threw enough ash and dust into the atmosphere, to lower the temperature for several degrees over the following years. (the ash reflected the radiant heat back into space).
heavy events can effect the climate – but only for a short time. long term changes are a result of constant alteration. and the present changes are benefited by greenhouse gases, vapour and the usual warm up. but without the gases and the vapour, the changes would be slow and less strong.
(this is the current scientific statment)
regards
Thank you again for being a voice of reason backed by actual science. I live in the midwestern U.S. and my city was recently under eight feet of water. This was NOT a normal flooding event. We’ve also had several F3 and F5 tornados in the area, many more than normal. These events have cost billions of dollars in damage. Global warming is real, and we should be acting to stop it.
Protip: The weather is always changing.
that is true .. i live in northern germany. in april, you can
have storms, hail, rain, snow, ice-cream-conditions and
burning ardour – during one day.
but the changing systems are our problems. not the resulting
“bad” weather. according to my first gulfsream example, we
get all f*cked, if the stream snaps off. burning heat in northern
america and bitter winters in europe. both scenarios are not very
comfortable.
the problem with the constant warming is simple but not easy
to solve. the greenhouse gases are in our atmosphere and we can not
get rid of them. even if we would stop the production of CO2 and
methane tomorrow, the system would need many years to recover.
the system is just to big for fast changes. that was the problem
in the first place.
the greenhouse compounds were enriched in the atmosphere
for over 200 years. and now we are recognizing that the climate
systems are changing. the only thing we can do now, is reducing
the output of greenhouse substances and wait for the system
to react on it.
as we say in germany:
abwarten und tee trinken. (just wait and see!)
Vielen herzlichen Dank.
Gasp! A humorous political lol? This has no place on this site, it is unprecedented, it is blasphemous, be gone with your funniness, sir or madame!
INFALLIBLE!

Oz: Hmmm. The reason we have a word for ‘tornadoes’ and ‘hurricanes’ and ‘floods’ is that they’ve happened before. Stop acting like this is a crisis of global proportions. It’s called ‘weather’ and sometimes ‘bad weather’. Get used to it and stop being a Global Warmening Fundamentalist whiner.
thank you finally some person understands
please don´t get me wrong.
there were always hurricanes and tornadoes on earth – thats true. but the rates and intenseness are increasing. slowly but noticeable. in the end, it will not matter what changed the climate – man-benefited warming or the natural cycle. the final result counts.
and of course you are right with hysteria. hysteria and fear are bad advisors.
considerateness and a clear mind should be our guides.
but one thing is funny. you wrote, that he should: “stop acting like this is a crisis of global proportions.” in fact it is nothing else. the climate would change world wide. the best thing to get out of this, is a wise and economic usage of fossil fuel, efficient power plants and sober minds.
The scariest part is the changes are noticeable to living generations of human beings. Traditionally, drastic changes in the Earth’s climate, besides fluke heat waves or cold winters, changed so slowly that a single generation of human being would never notice the changes.
Hmmmm … this is the first time anybody has called me a fundamentalist, ever.
Oz: It can also be called Global Warming Delusion.
Okay. Let me boil down your argument for you:
Glow-bull warming is a MYTH!!!! Owl Bore made the WHOLE THING UP!!! To GET MONEY!!!
I can’t argue with that great bit of reasoned wisdom now, can I?
Uh, oh. Someone discovered how to bold comments. I guess we will never be able to argue points against him again. Bold always equals right. Damn.
I can make italics, too. You lose, I win.
Your letters now slant right. I win.
Lol I hate both of you!
Doesn’t anyone watch Futurama? When global warming gets too bad we’ll just drop a giant icecube into the ocean.
Sometimes doing nothing (unless it was about oil) is just as dangerous as doing everything wrong. You shouldn’t accept a presidency and then try to “cruise” through 4 years. No, Bush isn’t the catalyst of everything bad with this country, but you can certainly prove his ignorance. We have 8 years of material. If anything Bush has proven to be ineffective and ignorant. Not that he hasn’t been just as bad as prior presidents, he just has not the pwoers to hide it the way they did.
I’m just saddened that smart, otherwise well-meaning people get sucked into the global whining hysteria. Conservation and wise use of resources are good stewardship of the planet we’ve been given. Self-defeating chasing at shadows is not.
I’m just saddend that I’m still posting on a lol that’s already on page 2.
Am I here yet?
the govenment once again failing to see that global warming is an issue. First the end of the last ice age and now this. When will they learn?
*sigh* so true. lulz
Jesus, I remember when this happened ><. It was only an hour away from where I live!
Ok, will some of the people on this forum look up the term \”malkovich cycles.\” Then, and only then, should you make informed decisions about so-called \”man-made global warming.\” The power of our silly little cars and factories is insignificant to the power of the sun…and the force.
