i’m leaning towards the vet in his ghilly suit making a statement on the war and that ppl can knock him as a soldier for a small fee. or he could be a ghey bum – crocks.
I guess I can’t be sure, but I wouldn’t assume it’s a vet. Just some guy assuming the persona of a solder to take advantage of people against the (or any any) war.

I saw this picture on Reuters the other day… He’s a somewhat famous panhandler that’s been using the “tell me off” schtick for a long time now. He often migrates to different cities along the East Coast… This is his latest costume, a guilly suite, so that he can take advantage of all the people upset about the war, etc., and business is booming.
He’s American? I live in the US and I never hear anyone use “tell/told off” but my English mother says it.

This guy is in NYC, and he’s pretty famous here, much like the Naked Cowboy. He lets you tell him off, obviously, and it really is a stress reliever. Oh, the things you’ll find in Manhattan.
