Too soon
Define ‘too soon’.
That would depend on what your definition of ‘is’ is.
How soon is too soon to remember a Comedian’s legacy?
Not too soon.
Too Soon would be if someone dressed up as George and went to a Halloween party.
Also, for those who want to know the truth behind the photo.
Boris Yeltsin made a joke about a reporter, calling him a “disaster” Which if i understand right, was actually mis-quoted
R.I.P George Carlin
Wrong, about the photo. The interpreter belched. Nothing more or less. It was funnier watching them fall apart laughing than what actually caused it.
That’s a bit of an idiotic comment. People say ‘too soon’ when someone is making fun OF someone or something. Not just alluding to it. This caption is laughing WITH, not AT.
First
too late
Sorry but ROFL
Yeah, but somehow appropriate. I think George would approve.
Oh man. I remember this moment. Boris and Bill were about pissing themselves laughing. It was priceless.
I never saw it – what were they laughing about?
Ive never seen that. That’s funny. That’s like Boris Yeltsin going ‘So’s your face!’.
Bodily functions.
For non-Americans could somebody care to enlighten us as to what this refers?
Cheers.
It’s a reference to George Carlin’s seven dirty words you can’t say on TV. George Carlin died last week, which is why people are saying too soon.
Some of the original “7 Words” are now said regularly on TV…on “Friends” (in reruns) and “The Simpsons.”
I think this caption was a sort of tribute to Carlin…and I think the only “too soon” involved is that he died at 71. We still need him.
Thanks for the explanation. He wasn’t really well-known in this corner of Scotland I’m afraid! I shall YouTube for further research.
George Carlin was an American comedian, who had a famous skit of things you can’t say on TV.

Go there for the original seven words!
does anyone have a link or a copy of the 11 O’Clock News skit?
George Carlin’s death has been in the international news too – atleast in the UK anyway.
fartturdtwat
It looks like Boris said at least six of them already….
Which 7 words?
I totally got the caption… even got my folks to both repeat all 7 to me last week…
But what in the heck are Yeltsin and Clinton laughing at?
In Russia, there are words you are not allowed to say to TV!
i think it’s more along the lines of
In Soviet Russia, TV says 7 words to you
Mother Russia is greatest country in world.
I think that is seven words.
All the way! I’m not even Russian, and I agree with you!
Um. you fail. Russia blows. Some day they may be great again. But not right now. I was actually providing the only seven words you can say in Soviet Russia.
I agree,
*sigh* I miss the motherland.
George Carlin was a brilliant man. He was funny, insightful, thought provoking, and edgy in a way that made you want to cry from laughing so hard sometimes. He skipped the envelope and went straight to pushing people. I learned to keep crossing “the line” from him, because when he did it, he brought us with him for while. The change in view made things look fresh, somehow. Here’s to you, George >clink<
*clink!*
*clink*
*clink*
BTW I don’t remember what the picture was originally about, either.
I remember that image but I can’t remember what the heck it was Yeltsin was doing THIS time.
Yeltsin didn’t do anything. His translator belched into the mike. Clinton and Yeltsin promptly got the giggles.
Not sure. Think Yeltsin was in US on a trip in which in several of his stops, he couldn’t get off the plane so they just left – one was Ireland.
I literally LOLed at that. Good show.
I believe I recall at the actual event, Yeltsin was making light of Bill’s then acrimonious relationship with the press due to scandals/investigations etc…Yeltsin made a statement making fun of the reporters. Honestly, I think Bill was initially embarrassed, then started guffawing.
As far as the caption goes, it’s not that funny. The picture is not really related to Carlin in any way, and aside from the timing that we’ll only appreciate now, the above will seem more disconnected in the near future.
… maybe it would be finnier if it mentioned that John McCain was, um, old…
clinton is not old.
heyya i culd c that lots of peeps hav commented on this pic so could you guys visit my lolz and rate them?
