Wrong, so very wrong.
It is the Memorial Bride shot from the West Quincy, MO side looking to Quincy, IL
Oh come on. Nothing’s funny of you overthink it.
Humor FAIL.
Speed Limit: 40 knots. And no left turn until you are clear of the waterway markings.
(At first, I thought he was peeing into the street/canal…)
40 knots?
it isn’t 50?
damn it….
50 knots? That’s nuts.

I think that’s the Quincy Memorial Bridge in Quincy, IL. That would be the bridge that crosses the Mississippi River into Quincy from West Quincy (crosses into Illinois from Missouri).
Yep you would be correct as someone who grew up around there and use to gas up in West Quincy 3 times a week. My family still Lives in Barry Illinois
I think its when some of the U.S. started flooding and this guy needed to use a toilet. Look at how he’s standing! Either that or the navy made their high dive pool.
That was my first thought. Look at his stance, the position of his arms, AAAAAHHHHHH relief.
That’s the Quincy Memorial Bridge in Quincy, IL. QMB carries traffic from the Missouri side of the Mississippi River (that’s the side this is taken from… West Quincy, MO) into Illinois. There is another bridge called the Bayview Bridge that carries traffic from Illinois to Missouri.
Go to the Quincy Herald-Whig’s image gallery (http://whig.mycapture.com/mycapture/index.asp) and go to their daily gallery for 6/25/08. There are some similar pictures there.
Enjoy!
Oh Noes! Soaker hose!
Sure do love to pick on the troops on this site
Oh please, I served 17.5 years in both the Active and Guard and did my year in Afghanistan as well as Hurricane Katrina duty. I almost busted a gut when I saw this.
I don’t see how this could even remotely be picking on the soldier. I took it that the joke is the soldier thinks he left the water running before he deployed.
You must think we soldiers have really thin skins if you think this would irritate us.
Yeah, my brother is in Iraq right now and he loved this picture when I put it on his myspace page.
Sure do love to pick on the troops on this site
*eyeroll* It’s not “picking on”. This is nowhere NEAR “picking on”. IT’S A JOKE.
Though I am a military-worshipping right wing nut, I have to agree. This is just humour, as is the ‘Ninja breakdance’ lolpicture.
That might be true of some of the other lolz… specifically the ones that don’t make it past a vote…. but this one seems OK.
At least he got stuck on the cheap cigarette and booze side of the bridge!
looks like Quincy IL to me, Tim!
*ps Hi Gramma & Grampa! Stay dry!
ha. I was going to say the same thing. My Grandma lives in Fowler.
Yep that is the Quincy Memorial Bridge. We did plenty of sandbagging for the weeks that this bridge was flooded. The caption is funny and I have three children serving in the armed forces.
