LOL, ah I love the french. But one mans criminal is another mans hero.

    • lowly grunt says:

That tells you something about that other man, doesn’t it? ;-)

    • Confoozled says:

Interesting that the sign of the guy on the right says “Americans against the war.” No one invited ME to Paris for this March.

    • Jineb says:

I’m french, and I can tell u that a lot of people here disaprove this war.
Moreover, our “great president” Sarkozy forgave recently american political attacks.
We just dislike your government (and soon our).

So please, don’t send them here ^^’

      • American says:

Sounds like a lot of the people posting on here are french. Always afraid of a fight.
Right or wrong were in this war and need to see it through. If any of you are Americans you should be ashamed of yourselves for being such low level cowards.

        • EVJ says:

Cowardice: n. Word meaning intelligence, used by those who have none.

        • Snark says:

To follow, with the second entry in the dictionary:

Coward: n. A small mammal insulated by several others of its type that fears, above all else, ever admitting it’s a moron. The symptoms are broad, up to and including throwing a few hundred billion good dollars after bad, and a few thousand lives of sexy, dedicated soldiers after dead ones for no discernible logical function.

Viva la Constitution – anyone got a defibrillator to bring that puppy back to life?

        • thefrenchfighter says:

you know we did start Vietnam…then you promptly fucked that up, then you botched desert storm & now ur giving free lessons on how not to fight a war in the middle east. i actually cant wait for you to get involved in Iran 4 any reason (don’t worry you’ll find one).

funny picture, we don’t want them for keeps, what we were going to do is re-open Guantanamo Bay just for those to fuckups…mm soggy Bush and moist Dick

  8. debbeh says:

Is it my imagination, or does that guy on the right look a lot like Cheney?

  9. Mark says:

DUMB….they arent war criminals. Get over it.

    • Lethal Larry says:

Well…. they ARE war criminals. I mean, anyone who commits WAR CRIMES, is, by definition, a war criminal. Duh.

      • Evil Pundit says:

So that means they aren’t war criminals.

        • Danny says:

By logic and the statements provided, you are most certainly correct. It’s much like the following logical process:

          1) Steal underpants.
          2) ???????
          3) Profit!

        • Seth says:

They simply haven’t been convicted yet. They aren’t war criminals until they are convicted. However, a large number of people feel very strongly that they have committed crimes, lying to the public about the pretext of war, authorizing torture, ‘losing’ billions in cash, funding their crony’s war profiteering, not divesting themselves of holdings in the military industrial complex, giving out no bid contracts to cronies, invading a country that hadn’t attacked or threatened us, wiretapped US citizens without due process, and so on, and so forth.

Just so you know, that is why people call them war criminals. It’s kind of a shorthand for the above list.

I’d like you to think carefully about the powers this presidency has claimed for itself. Now I’d like you to think about those powers in the hands of, say, Hillary Clinton. You may think that it’s cool that your guy has those powers, but they aren’t just going to go away when the democrats eventually take power. When you defend the things Bush has done, please think about Obama doing the exact same things, and how you’d feel about that. Would you defend his actions?

          • Evil Pundit says:

I wouldn’t like to see Obama having the power that Bush has. But if that’s what the voters decide to give him, then so be it.

And while I wouldn’t like many of the things an Obama or a Clinton would do, I wouldn’t jump up and down accusing them of being “war criminals”, “Nazis”, or many of the other hyperbolic perjoratives so fondly used on the Left.

Try looking at it the other way around. If Bush can be prosecuted and convicted for policy decisions he made in office with which you disagree, that opens a can of worms. Next time the Republicans get in power, why shouldn’t they follow the precedent, and consign Democratic politicians to jail for made-up “crimes”?

This is all propaganda, but taking it seriously can have consequences.

            • musicmom870 says:

“Next time the Republicans get in power, why shouldn’t they follow the precedent, and consign Democratic politicians to jail for made-up “crimes”?”
This precedent has already been set by this administration. By politicizing the Department of Justice and forcing U.S. Attorneys to investigate Democratic candidates in close races and bring prosecutions when evidence didn’t warrant such, this administration sought to destroy impartial justice for political gain. And yes, this has consequences.

Also, remember that the voters did not give Bush the powers he has claimed for himself, nor could we give them to Obama or McCain. Within 3 coequal branches of government the constitution limits the power of the president for good reason. We do not live in a monarchy.

              • Sara says:

                Very much agreed, well said.

              • Evil Pundit says:

I’m sorry, but Bush has exactly the powers granted by the US Constitution, and no others.

Just because you don’t like the way he has exercised his powers doesn’t make them somehow illegitimate.

                • fillerbunny says:

Mouthpiece, if you are capable of reading, which seems to be questionable, could you perhaps try to devote SOME effort into developing comprehension?

                • musicmom870 says:

Whether you or I “like” what he’s done is immaterial. The Constitution does not grant the president the power to use signing statements. His use of signing statements to negate provisions of legislation which he himself signed into law in unconstitutional.

                  • Steve says:

                    Hi there,

Just one point, or a question, depending on how much you want to attack me. But there is nothing in the Constitution regarding signing statements. The issue, as I see it, is that when nothing is stated, it is left open to interpretation. That open interpretation creates a vacuum that gets filled by every person who has a “good idea” (meaning it is good to them, not necessarily everyone). That practice ends when the Supreme Court makes a final interpretation. That appears to be what is happening now. Someone needs to sue the President or whomever it makes sense to, get the case into the Supreme Court, and get a ruling. That is the only way, I think, that if necessary, the situation can be changed.

                    • musicmom870 says:

No attack here, Steve, you are right! The role of interpreting law is held by the courts, not the executive.

          • JP says:

LOZ, you simply continue to spout the lies made up by Nancy, Dingy Harry, and Obambi. It’s hysterical watching you morons try and make up crimes for shit the Democrats had as well. instead of chalking it up to failed CIA assessments, bad intel d/t no ground sources, you think its deliberate. I bet you think Bush’s cronies piloted those planes on 9-11 too huh?

Name one company capable of mobilizing 30,000 civilians for a wartime contracts in that sector other than Halliburton? Here’s a clue, there aren’t any. Halliburton is the largest and best because they are the only ones. No bid didn’t mean others were out there available. THere weren’t.

Lastly, every President and VP are required to turn over their holdings and investments to a blind trust. Not even THEY know what holdings are in it. Not a one. That’s why they call it a BLIND TRUST. Nice hatchet job Seth.

            • FaileV says:

I read it, but all i got from that was “haha liberals are stoopid, i’m so smartfer thinkin what i think”

            • rhorho says:

The sweeping scope of your fail boggles the mind.

              Wow. Just…Wow.

It’s hysterical watching you morons try and make up crimes for shit the Democrats had as well.

Please tell me which of the following the Democrats “had:”

              > Authorized use of torture

              > Approved of secret electronic surveillance against American citizens

              > Secretly detained American citizens without due process of law

              > Denied the writ of habeas corpus to hundreds of accused enemy combatants

              > Authorized the use of procedures that violate both international law and the United States Constitution

BTW, the deep groaning noise in your ear is coming from GOP PKers who are sickened at being represented by such moronic blathering.

    • ODDCAT says:

if fabricating false allegations or harboring weapons of mass destruction as a purpose to invade a third world country simply because the person wanted to change their political system to where it would be more favorable for his own personal image and or pocketbook was’nt a good enough reason for the house to approve of said actions is’nt a cause to be tried for warcrimes, then i don’t know what is.

      • ODDCAT says:

scratch the or between allegations and harboring kiddos.

      • JP says:

you mean the same allegations the DNC knew of, the Democrats in congress all knew of and had investigating committees talk to CIA officials in secret about? Those allegations?

You mean the DNC and democrats had access to the blind trust the presidents portfolio was placed in on Jan 1, 2001 when he was preparing to take office? That one?

  10. Lethal Larry says:

For the record, torturing prisoners in torture camps is against the Geneva Conventions, a war crime, and quite unbelievably barbaric for a so-called “civilized nation”.

bushie had people tortured. That’s a war crime. Ergo, he’s a war criminal.

    And a moron.

  11. j99450 says:

IIRC America didn’t sign that Geneva Convention…So here in America he isn’t a criminal but once he leaves the country…

Also incidentally Kennebunk(where the Sr. Bush’s live) had a coupple of people try and get the legal groundwork laid down so that when the current president Bush came back next he’d be placed under citizens arrest for his war crimes…

  12. Dylan says:

Bush is a puppet. the real president is Dick Cheney.

  13. glory says:

Last I looked going against the UN is also a war crime and I’m very certain that at the beginning of the war hat bush started the UN said NO.

    • Steve says:

Glory, you are very certainly wrong. The only things “binding” (read: France and other countries must circumvent) that come out of the UN are resolution from the Security Council. The United States is one of the permanent members of the Security Council and, therefore, have a permanent veto. Because of that, there is no way that the US can “go against the UN.” Dumbass.

  14. klem says:

Can’t wait for bush and his team to leave american presidency. Whole Europe is behind Obama. Too much lies, too much blood. JUST TOO MUCH.

    They are CRIMINALS.

    A french guy.

    • Joe says:

btw…obama is a marxist…just look at his policies, and wth is he gonna change? thats all he ever says and he just flips flops around….so if you want the US to be the next USSR, support obama…okay, i agree that bush screwed up the war, however, i’d rather be fighting a war, than having the government telling me what to do…

      • Snark says:

What’s up with this “socialist” stuff that everyone lights their undies on fire about?

I hate to think how many people (Americans, like me) totally scream and pitch a fit when socialized medicine comes up. I’ve heard all the arguments, no worries, some are half valid.

It’s awesome, though. Let’s push for privatized fire departments and police departments. I think that sounds awesome, because keeping those socialized like they are is super, super bad. Seriously.

        • FaileV says:

I believe we had that once, before benjamin franklin created the volunteer fire department, you had to pay the firemen monthly or something, protection money basically, because if your house caught on fire and you were’nt paying them, they would just wait and haggle with you as your house burned down, good times.
moderation is the key to everything, but you know those that like to jump on the slippery slope ride called “obama is a marxist” rarely have time to stop and think

        • Snark says:

          Like, super bad. Totally.

  15. pip says:

oh my god! cheney has infiltrated their ranks and is actually holding one end of the sign! clever bastard!

  16. Nicole says:

Listen up, Bush did everything he had in his powers TO PROTECT YOUR A**ES. You should thank him, because there has not been another attack like 9/11. Do you think that is a coincidence? The extremists want to kill US, Americans, and they will stop at nothing. The prisoners in GITMO do not have any respect for us or our Constitution, why should they be protected by anything, even the Geneva conventions. This is coming from a moderate. not even conservative, agnostic. So chew on that. I think this country has become complacent and will have its eyes opened the next time al-Qaeda strikes. “Insert your deity here” save us if Barack Obama becomes president. And concerning Iraq

    • Nicole says:

“Saddamy” was gassing his own people, do you think that would stop there?

    • Gizro says:

LoL “Bush did everything he had in his powers TO PROTECT YOUR A**ES” bad thing he didnt try b4 9/11 =D. “The extremists want to kill US, Americans, and they will stop at nothing.” Yeah ok but unfortunately those terrorist werent in Irak saddam was hated by all the fanatics , instead of the fake war in Irak he should have put more troops in afghanistan to get those damn opium feeding Talibans.
“The prisoners in GITMO do not have any respect for us or our Constitution, why should they be protected by anything, even the Geneva conventions.” Oh i see so since outlaws break the laws (lol) the law shouldnt apply to the ones judging them…why do you need laws for then …”This is coming from a moderate. not even conservative, agnostic.” unfortunately even if you state that your current sayings proves you wrong on the moderate part. “I think this country has become complacent and will have its eyes opened the next time al-Qaeda strikes. “Insert your deity here” save us if Barack Obama becomes president. And concerning Iraq” completely agrees Obama or not Obama the situation wont change that quickly , us is will stay in irak for quite a while at least until the population reaches for a true government.
