Must loosen tie to facilitate the flow of lies
(John McCain)
picture: dunno source, via our lolcat builder. lol caption: Sassmo
Obama is a compulsive liar.
He lied about his birth, his name, his religion, his church, his pastor, his congressional record …
Obama even lied about McCain.
Umm, no.
Umm, yes.
http://theobamafile.com/ObamaLies.htm
That’s a great site.
I agree entirely.
Hilarious, but I really really hope you’re joking… right?
This website is ridiculous, all the links out are dead and nearly every post/claim contains grammatical errors, and most are either completely unsubstantiated or just patently false.
Not to mention that none of these things even seem that serious when compared with the actions of the previous administration. I mean WTF??
Just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true people, in fact it usually means the OPPOSITE.
Double Um…no.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp
Melody – are you part of the liberal plot to destroy Amerika from the inside out, too?!!1!!1!
There is no reasoning with the likes of Evil Pundit. He is all knowing, and unreasonable. He probably circulated that email himself to all his friends in the Death to Liberals club. Hiel EP!
Haha,
You know it’s funny that you comment on something like this,
Making a degrading and rather elementary attempt to slander, which you know is great for middle school arguments, but when he posted the link up of all of Obama’s lies, you didn’t say anything. It goes to show that all your views and credibility of your argument are based on emotion and just believing what you want to believe, no matter what anybody told you, you’d still believe Obama’s the best, so when you fail in an actual political argument, you resort to slander like a child. It’s a shame people like you are into politics.
Interesting … you can post a URL, but whenever I post one, my comment doesn’t appear.
Bias?
hey, Mouthpiece- your computer’s posting stuff again. You should look to that.
His own brother says he’s a Muslim, people on Al Jazeera forums say he’s a Muslim, members of Hamas say he’s a Muslim and even my Iraqi translator knows he’s a Muslim. They don’t lie about their own kind
EP, I think you are dead set on getting Obama mentioned on every single comment page… I think I’m on to your evil plot. Perhaps you just like to encourage others to stick up for him?
also lied about his uncle liberating auschwitz, which is impossible.
Obama lied about the tornado in Kansas killing 1000 people, when in fact it only killed 12.
Wow, u americans are indeed as stupid as they say.
xD
Your morally bankrupt party of thieves will most certainly lose pathetically next election. It must feel desperate and lonely, being the last wingnut left defending the indefensible. How’s it feel knowing your candidate is trailing 15 points in the polls this early on? What’s that I hear? Is it a landslide for Obama starting? I think it is! You don’t stand a chance.
Can we get a picture of you to put up on failblog?
DUDE, HE WASN’T KIDDING‽‽‽‽
Lies!!!
Le’t see was it McCain who said he was going to us ONLY public financing in the general elections??? Hmmmm, lets see… NO I remember it was Obama! But I guess he just changed his mind after he got the nomination, how convenient!!
He’s the first politician in the history of politics to change his mind. The horror! Politics is RUINED I tell you. Oh well, at least it wasn’t like that silly old WMD stuff again.
You mean he lied.
No one else can change their minds, only Obama. Anytime a republican changes their minds, or makes a decision based on faulty data that was not of their own doing they are liars, dont’ look now your double standard is showing.
Yeah but at least when Obama found out information about what would be better to do he switched over…instead of Staying the Fail.
And no, republicans aren’t the only ones that Stay the Fail…
Flip Flop-A term used by people that are stubborn and think that staying the fail will be stronger than admitting fault and changing strategies…If either side says the flip flop they get the Thumbs down +1 from me.
You can’t be talking about the Iraq war. But if you are, what if President Bush had caved to all the politically charged critisism (even though most agreed with him going in initially) and had pulled out of Iraq prematurely? Think of the massacre that would have happened had we not been there to protect those people post Saddam. Staying with something you know is right just cause other people say you are failing is a positive thing in my book. It’s called conviction. Now, promising something like only accepting public funding because it sounds so grass roots and “power to the people”, then changing because it actually did not work – well, expect more of this kind of thing if he gets elected.
You raise a nice point there at the end. Obama supporters have no idea what they are getting into. And when Obama realizes that the only way he can get things done is FDR-style fascism, it will be too late. But don’t expect his supporters to tell him to change his mind and chart a new course. They will be all about “staying the fail” even if it strips them of all of their civil liberties.
When Republicans attack Civil Liberties, it is called fascism. When Democrats attack Civil Liberties, it is called progressivism.
If only, we lived in a day and age where people knew what the US Constitution says and lived by it. Unfortunately, I am certain that either Obama or McCain will make sure those days are over forever. The only difference is… McCain doesn’t scare the holy snot out of me. We can handle 4 years of status quo… but 4 years of change for change sake will kill us.
I’m just replying to see how small the reply width can go.
It can go way smaller I think…
FDR a facist? bwahahahahahha! I’ve heard socialist before, and even that is rediculous, but facist! That statement in itself kills your argument. It took all I had to keep from laughing outloud. It was so unbelievably hilarious that I broke my new rule of not wasting my time commenting on here anymore!
As for campaign financing, Obama is taking a gamble, and his opponents are just angry because it’s like to pay off. Both the DNC and the RNC can spend as much as they want on their candidate outside of public financing, so suck it up.
“LOL, funny, ur wastin my times” is not a counter argument, genius.
You are really high on the soap box aren’t you? Please don’t get hurt when you fall. I appreciate conviction, I do. But the war in NOT going well. We are not close to Mission Accomplished. Iraq has costs us lives and dollars we cannot replace. We captured the wrong guy even if the world is “safer” without him. Bin Laden is still in Afghanistan. Al Quada is still a threat. So all these years in, what did we gain? Bush has the lowest approval rating of any US president ever. Does this mean nothing to you?
Bush gets very low marks from me on communication and the economy as well, but on keeping us safe from radical terrorist thugs, he gets A+++++ marks from me.
You realise that because of Bush the world actually got léss safe? Iran has only got more aggresive, there is only more war in the world and I don’t think those radical folks got to like the US more because of Bush (thus making them less willing to attack the US, wich means the US would be safer).
Anyway, ’bout Obama, ofcourse he can change it’s mind, that’s normal. So can McCain. But ofcourse, they should never be tóo sure of what they say then. The future isn’t set, a lot of things can happen wich could mind that the previous solution for a problem wouldn’t be the best for the new situation anymore, wich means that a change of mind is needed.
Yes, agreed, and this thinking could also apply to the decision to go into Iraq.
World got less safe? Can you lie any further? Name one terrorist attack on the US
since 2001? I’ll wait.
Secondly, perhaps that lying sack of chit you call messiah can start talking about
his past:
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives2/2008/06/020784.php
Awwww, bitter about your party’s upcoming defeat already? So sad.
Anyway, I have here a rock I’d like to sell you. It protects against tiger attacks. You will note that while I have owned this rock, I have not been attacked by a tiger.
How many foreign terrorist attacks were there in the hundred years prior to 9/11? How many does that average out to per year? Based on that, what are the chances that an attack would have happened since 9/11? About 0%.
Name one before Pearl Harbor. Terrorist attacks are the anomaly, not the standard. It’s not like Homeland Security thwarts a terror threat every week.
Name one attack on American’s and its territories since 9/11/2001?
We’ll wait.
This perpetual vapid talking point on being “less safe” is not only humorous in itself,
but its a lie all its own.
If he did anything right, its getting the military to find the bad guys and stop them from getting to Times Square, the Miracle Mile, and the Fishermans Wharf. Nasty things those bombs.
How many terrorist attacks per year happen on average? Statistically speaking, chances are good that no attacks would have happened anyway. The military has created more bad guys than it has stopped.
Why are you worried about terrorists, anyway? You are more likely to die slipping in your bathtub than at a terrorists hand, based on statistics. People like you want everyone to be afraid of ‘terrorists’ but you are the ones spreading flase terror.
Seth… please see my reply at the end of the page.
I don’t know if I feel any safer from radical terrorist thugs than I did before. I’m sure the current administration wants us to believe we are safer, but no one knows if we are. There is no way to tell. And in other parts of the world, we are considered the radical thugs. Get Bin Laden, I’ll feel safer. We have the best military in the world, why do we not have Bin Laden?
Thank you for having civil discourse with me here instead this thread devolving into insults.
Again, why the emphasis on Bin Ladin? I don’t understand that at all. It’s not a person we are after it is the belief he stood for. If we had Bin Ladin and had him locked up you think suddenly the world would go back to 9/10/2001? I don’t really believe that other countries believe we are thugs either, I think it’s just propaganda.
You are welcome, I don’t believe in name calling to make a point.
I think Bin Laden is a huge part of it. It’s like fighting the Nazis but letting Hitler go free. Actually, it’s exactly like that. He’s the head of the organization that flew two planes into buildings in my city and killed people I loved and made other people in my family sick as they worked on the piles of the remains and in the landfills looking for body parts.
There is propaganda all around – liberal and conservative. Our government spews it as well. I’m happy and proud I live here, but I certainly don’t trust my government.
We dont have Bin Laden cause he is in Pakistan. Now here is where you liberals get all mixed up. We dont want to start more wars ( I agree) but the only way to get him is to send troops into Pakistan, which has denied that. You cant demand both.
how low can the width go?
let’s see
No ema, yours is. It is convenient to overlook fact when it suits you. WMD was faulty data not of their own doing? Really? Check your facts, get back to me. Pretty big mistake, no?
No, not when our safety is at stake, hello! main job of the president! and he would surely have gotten flak if he had not gone in.
Our safety was never at stake. Even including 9/11 in the data set, your chances of being killed by a terrorist are less than your chances of choking on an egg mcmuffin. No one with half a brain was ever worried about terrorists.
If someone wants you to be afraid of terrorists, it is because they want to control you, not keep you safe.
The chances of being killed by a terrorist attack become greater and greater as we do nothing.
People have a better chance at getting killed in the streets of Los Angeles
than in any city in Iraq. More people have been killed by gangs than of
terrorists
Yeah, Bush never lied. Or Cheney. Or Rice. Lying is strictly a Democratic phenomena.
Pretty much.
If you look at the facts and where the biggest lies are coming from, it’s just anout all on the Democratic side.
Of course, liberals lie about the lies too. See above picture for an example.
OMG, you have an answer for everything, don’t you? It’s all a liberal conspiracy to piss Evil Pundit off and Rule The World! Get a grip dude. You are becoming that lone irrelevant guy.
You’re the one who’s compulsively replying to everything on this board. Get a life.
Um, and you’re reading it…
lol, EP wins.
People aren’t allowed to change their minds? I guess that destroys to concept of religious conversion and reconciliation, also, I guess that means that someone can’t turn around and walk retrace their steps when they realized they got lost.
You two are just bitter. Why not create your own funny picture blog and bitch away ’till your hearts content?
I like it here! Wouldn’t you miss me??
actually, yes. you amuse me.
HA! I knew it!!
’tis true. I like hearing different points of view from people who can form coherent arguments for their positions rather than ZOMG! Liberals! Conspiracy! Doom! It’s tiresome and counter productive. We have more in common than we have differences in many instances.
But those kinds of people are always fun to debunk, especially the people who are like OMG! JEWS ARE PLANNING TO BLOW UP THE WORLD!!! What, have you found hydrogen bombs with the Star of David on them?
Whaaaa? Jews are planning to blow up the world? Quite to the contrary, they are trying to save there own asses just like we are.
You’re just bitter because some people have a different point of view.
Why don’t you just go to Daily Kos, where you can have a nice comfortable echo chamber and nobody ever disagrees?
You know I saw a video on the internet where Bill O’Reilly said the same thing, but he added the word Nazi for emphasis.
I love how the people who comment have no sense of humor, esp. Evil Pundit. Oh, I laugh.
“FDR-style fascism”
Yeah, how dare that asshole pull us out of a depression. Jerk.
I’ve always liked and respected FDR.
me too. saved a nation, built it better. why is that a bad thing? think of all the public works projects built then that are still used today.
Look into the history of FDR. The eugenics. The racism. The massive propaganda. His admiration of Mussolini before the war. Look at the cult of liberal fascism in both America and Britain before the Second World War.
If you can look at the strong arm tactics, the silencing of all political opponents, the interment of Germans, Italians, Japanese, and all of the other atrocities of the FDR years and not come to the conclusion of fascism… then obviously you do not know what fascism is and it will be far too late for you once you learn it by example.
Fascism is not a partisan ideology. It is ripe on both sides of the aisle. Remember, Hitler was a socialist, too.
very true. The early nazis were comprised of people whose politics would probably be classed as ‘liberal’ today. Very few recognize that.
So far, TWO mouthbreathers who seem to think Jonah “DoughBob Loadpants” Goldberg is a serious writer….
Uhh… what? did that comment have a point?
And yet he hated communists, why?
the party was CALLED socialist but that doesn’t make it socialism. Calling Hitler a socialist boggles me. An attempt to make the leftists look bad, I guess, but Hitler was as right winged as you can possibly go.
No, National Socialism was as left wing as you can get.
Fascism from a liberal slant is decidedly more profane and even more oppressive.
Perhaps a little more reading of liberal fascism would be more in line instead
of just repeating media spin and talking points from Obama.com.
THREE!!! THREE mouthbreathers!!!! HA HA HA HA!!!
I think he’s trying to tell us something… i just don’t know what…
Historians mostly agree that FDR prolonged the Depression years. The economy would have corrected the crash of 1929 a lot quicker, if FDR kept his hands off and not nationalized and socialized so much. His government bloat style of economics might have kept us safe for a short period of time, but overall they were some of the most ill-advised, racist, and fascist in American history.
“Historians mostly agree that FDR prolonged the Depression years.”
Which historians would those be exactly?
That’s a good point, you have to cite the said historians, otherwise it has the same impact as “Thin air generally agrees that Franklin Delano Roosevelt prolonged the depression years.
So is punditkitchen on the Obama payroll? I’m no McVain fan, but the constant slobbering on Obama here is tiresome.
The cyber-fellatio of Obama is sickening to me as well. Would be nice to see some balance. But if we go by what we see here… that concept is non-existent in the PK hierarchy.
Um, if you want more McCain pictures, *SUBMIT THEM AND VOTE FOR THEM*. According to the administrators of this site, it is *ENTIRELY VOTE DRIVEN*.
But reality has a liberal bias.
Based on what’s making it these pages, the voter’s are decidedly mean spirited (the caption is offensive applied to either candidate imo); and aren’t voting while applying a sense of Humor to the situation…instead a sense of vindictiveness.
There are some funny ones (Horse “hi mom!” one for instance) and sharply satirical ones too. But clearly a good portion of those voting the likes of the one above up are bitter, callous individuals.
Do you mean voters, as in more than one voter? Or did you mean something belonging to one voter? Also, who is Humor and what is his or her sense exactly? All grammer fun aside (because really, no one is perfect, everyone makes typos) I can’t imagine why anyone would be bitter right now. I for one love having my fellow americans die every day in a neverending pointless war while I pay over four dollars for gas at home.
So then you would admit that your perception of how and why events are the way they are is leading you to be “bitter”? And how does this make for fun for all or make it appropriate?
Remember, the people who DO support the war don’t see the things as you do; I mean, do you really believe those that support staying in Iraq don’t see a point to it, just want people of all nationality to die? Surely they don’t. Yet, if the caption above IS funny to you, it’s done so in a mean spirited “let me stick my thumb in your eye” kind of way.
If the site is so bitter and mean spirited then why are you still here and posting? Don’t let the thumb stick you in the eye on the way out.
I think John McCain can handle a few less than favorable remarks on a website he’s probably never heard of or been to. If he can’t, then maybe politics isn’t for him.
Also, the fact of the matter is, a lot of people DON’T support the war, and those people ARE bitter, and who are you to tell them they shouldn’t feel that way.
The problem is this is a humor site, not a political dissertation site. Are these pictures funny? No. The problem is the pictures being selected are being chosen for their political slant, rather than their humor.
If 90 percent of the site was funny I’d ignore boring and stupid posts like this one, the problem is 50 percent of the site is pro-obama anti-mccain spin. 30 percent is daily show/colbert (put them in a picture, don’t insult them and you get front page material) and less than 20 percent is actually funny content. Mccain going “ohhh they have custard” is funny, mccain going “1000 years of war” isn’t. If you can’t understand the difference maybe a humor site isn’t for you.
What’s next? Taking pictures of dead soldiers and putting “funny captions” like “1 million killed” over it?
No, but a picture of Bush and Cheney with “Over 1 Million Killed”…
Well said.
This could be a funny site if it wasn’t so political.
I guess the two just don’t mix very well.
EP, this is a political humor site. It’s up at the top right over the banner, to wit: “Fun with politics and news!
If they aren’t mixing well for you, why do you stay? It can’t be any fun for you and you are providing limited fun for me – can’t speak for others – so why are you here?
Or was that a satirical comment and I just missed it?
*Gasp* Someone’s being pacifist and politically neutral? THEY MUST DIE!!!
Actually more of your fellow Americans die right here in the states on the highways in car accidents than die in Iraq. Also, the price of gas has nothing to do with the war, if it did why wasn’t it $4 much earlier?
The key word there is “accident” as in something that sad and maybe tragic but no one’s fault. No so the case with the war. Also, I never claimed gas prices had anything to do with the war, just that it was happening at the same time and that it was one thing out of many that makes me personally bitter. I’m sure that other bitter liberals on this site run by bitter liberals have other things that upset them. Try actually reading someone else’s post before responding half-cocked next time ema.
Lex, just STFU from now on and save everyone the trouble of having to read your crap.
You can read?
yes, despite liberal attempts to turn education into a state funded mind-contol cult/sex orgy.
Wow. That was a well spoken logical argument, wasn’t it?
Yeah, his homeschooling is showing. Thank god he wasn’t brainwashed into participating in gay sex orgies like all the kids in public schools.
…The feck are you talking about?
can you link lulz here?
http://mine.icanhascheezburger.com/view.aspx?ciid=1379335
Um…isn’t this supposed to be just a funny site? Why the mean spirited political discussions, just look at the stupid pictures and laugh. Geez…
The problem with this site and sites like them (digg for one) is that it’s all supported by a voting system. If one group with an agenda controls the voting system, then their bias becomes glaringly obvious on the site. Digg and this site is firmly in control of the anti-bush, pro obama, anti mccain section of the populace.
The sad thing is they believe because they control sites like these, a majority agrees with them, when it’s just a single website.
Icanhascheezburger and Ihashotdog = pure funny, punditkitchen = angry political statement instead of humor.
I came here for the cats, I really love that cheezeburger site but I can’t seem to master the lolspeak… Doh! So I end always end up over here.
omg uarite!
the cats are funny, the politics are libtarded.
Umm… have any of you looked at Bush and the Republican Party’s polling numbers, especially favorability? You are a minority, at the moment…
The Democratic Congress had done absolutely nothing since being voted in despite all the promises, and gas prices have skyrocketed – I have a feeling the backlash from the voters may surprise you in the coming presidential election.
The approval ratings for Congress are much lover than the ratings for Bush.
definitely much lover… and Congress not getting things done… wouldn’t have anything to do with all the Republicans employing tactics they frequently lashed out at Democrats for when the ‘pubs had the majority, would it? Hmmm… And yes, Congress’ approval is lower because they haven’t done enough to counter the escapades of Retardo Monkey Boy and Scowly McShootintheface.
And this is somehow the sole fault of the Democratic Congress? I’m not pleased with the joib they have done at all, but I’d hardly blame the current state of economic affairs on the Dems alone. Really.
A politician telling lies….wow that’s news…..
I think it’s a requirement to get into office.
Really? The most liberal republican to ever run for the presidency and you can’t just NOT vote for him?
Villification? Really?
Much to the dismay of his party faithful he shares virtually your values except for maybe… what? Iraq, Abortion, Gay Marriage and… what? What else?
The guy is one frog’s hair to the right of center and you have to HATE him? Are you really THAT intollerant of any value to the right of yours?
If my November was a choice between Mitt Romney and Joe Lieberman, I’d be a happy guy.
Honey, your knee is jerking pretty hard if you feel compelled to poop on an opposition candidate who helped your party with McCain Feingold. Who shares your inability to distinguish between an immigrant and an illegal immigrant. Who loves caribou more than cheap oil, and doesn’t understand the impact those caribou have on American poor struggling to buy groceries, just as you do not.
Sigh.
You probably have an “Impeach Bush!” bumper sticker right next to your “Hate is not a family value!” bumper sticker, with no clue as to why that makes you a hopeless hypocrite.
Obviously, you have a global oil economy FAIL….
Leftism is based on hatred. They have to hate, it’s the only thing they know.
Yes, because your views and policies are born out of love, aren’t they? It’s not a question of hating, but what is hated. Personally, I hate inequality, unfairness, and crass, soulless capitalism that doesn’t take stock of human and environmental costs in their profit hoarding. Tell me, are those values not to be hated?
No, you hate people who disagree with you.
Oh whack!
YOU say this? I hope, really really hope you were crossing your eyes while you typed that!!!
Pot? Kettle?
HA HA HAHA HAHA HA HA!!!!!
fillerbunny, EP is a one trick pony. He only talks about what’s wrong with Liberals and lefties like he knows what he’s talking about. He doesn’t even base his posts on fact, just propaganda and sound bytes. He never states his own position, just a criticism of the left. He can be ignored. He’ll criticize this post, too.
Hi EP!
That’s why I like to call him “Mouthpiece”
The left does not want God, and yet they try to play God all the time, trying to recreate paradise, when it is quite impossible. Oh, and why is the world like this? So full of unfairness and inequality and destruction of all that is beautiful and unique? It is because learning to live with imperfection creates character and character is the only thing we can take with us when we die.
You misunderstand- we don’t want the interpretation of God that lives in a gated community and acts like a mean-spirited landlord… The Left is not uniformly Atheist. It’s true! And homeboy Jesus would have a thing or two to say about your interpretation of the world and how we should comport ourselves in this life…
Hmm, I don’t think I said that God lives in a gated community so I’m not sure where you got that, but tell me, I would like to know, what do you think Jesus would say to me?
I’m pretty sure he’d ask you to make an effort to remove those “character builders” for the sake of those who don’t have the power or voice to do so. You know, kinda like what Democrats do.
or, at least, have done… I’ll acknowledge the batch that had to live through the Bush years are dodgier than usual.
Also, there are many people who try as you may you simply cannot help, even with lots of money. They need other lessons, hence the character building.
Yes, and I would do it, but he would not expect me to sit back and let the govenrment do it. We are not here to have things done for us or to be taken care of by beaurocrats who really do not have our best interests in mind in the first place, they are removed from us personally, most want to line their own pockets. I would rather not give them my money to decide who to help and when and how much to help with. The government makes people weak that way and wants to keep them weak and needy. God wants us strong
Frankly, McCain is a great Repub. I’ll say it. But it seems that, in terms of the economy and the war, he won’t really be changing a thing. He expressed no interest in ending the war except under victory – which is taking on a vietnam-esque situation their. We might win in the end, eventually, but I imagine we’ll basically be throwing warm bodies into a meat grinder.
As well, he doesn’t seem interested in talking to many people who might not like us, which is how pointless wars often start.
I haven’t really heard him talk about the economy at much length – it almost seems like he expect it to right itself once the war is over. Even if the war was a primary cause – a topic of endless debate which I dont want to even touch – it ending isnt going to make the economy revert to normal.
I dont HATE McCain, but he seems to be too much war hawk when war isnt that good of an option.
And who may that comment be pointed toward?
Well, ask yourself this: have you ever been referred to as ‘honey’ and is your knee jerking? Also, are you compelled to poop at this time? If so I think he maybe was talking to you, it’s not real clear.
Everyone lies. Politicians lie a LOT.
Only been called that by my wife, no knee jerk, and no need to poop. Don’t you just love vague posts?
I realize a lot of the people posting here are in their early 20’s? That means you were probably between 12 and 15 years old on 9/11/01. So, you would not remember the terror attacks before that time and how they built up to 9/11. So, I created this time line for you, you will notice that after 9/11 there are no new attacks. I shortened the descriptions so they will fit here:
September 11, 2001 – Terrorists hijack four U.S. commercial airliners taking
Oct. 12, 2000 – A terrorist bomb damages the destroyer USS Cole in the port

So, tell me where are the new terror attacks on our country or our interests abroad? Tell me how taking this fight, already in progress you see above, to the enemy has not kept us safe? I
ema, you can go back further than that, can’t you? And please, go forward, too, there have been tons of attacks since 9/11, too. You just omitted them to suit your purpose here. So what does this prove? To me, only that people suck and we, as a species, suck. I’m WAY older than my twenties, I remember every single one of those instances. Tell me, what has the US done in other parts of the world or are we the innocent victims just randomly attacked?
Where are the tons of attacks after 9/11? You tell me! I can’t find any, that’s my point

None in America, I notice.
The Bush strategy is working well!
The only one “in america” on ema’s list WAS September 11. Furthermore, ema’s qualifications were the US and it’s interests. I’m sure if you read (which you’ve been known to not do so I won’t trust that) you’ll notice the bombings of the London Underground. The U.K. had been our strongest supporter in the Iraq war, to claim that what happens to them is not our interest would be false. Lastly, the United States does not live on it’s own little planet where the only people they have to worry about are the ones in their country. There are terrorist attacks going on in the world all the time. The world is NOT safer because of President Bush and that means that WE are not safer. There were fifty years between Pearl Harbor and September 11th. If we are very lucky it will be another fifty years before another attack on American soil, but it won’t be because of Bush or any one party’s politics, and it won’t mean that American lives and the lives of our allies aren’t being lost every day due in large part to America’s short-sighted foreign policy. If we don’t start realizing that we share this world with everyone else we are only going to be sorry in the long run.
Obama’s policy is appeasement and negotiation with terrorist supporting regimes. If America is unfortunate enough to elect him, there will soon be more attacks on home soil.
Wow, that had absolutely nothing to do with what I just said. Thanks for being meaningless.
You mentioned a “short-sighted foreign policy”. There is no policy more short -sighted than Obama’s cut-and-run, appeasement strategy.
That was pretty much the political debating equivalent of “I know you are but what am I”. At least ema comes back with an actual argument, whether I agree with her or not, instead of just saying “Oh yeah, but what about Obama” for every little thing.
Jane, youre not fooling anyone here everyone knows youre retarded.
At least I know to put an apostrophe in the word you’re and to use periods at the end of my sentences. You might want to proofread before you remark on someone’s intellegence.
Jane, you ignorant slut! (Sorry, just had to type it….) Don’t you realize that regardless of the amount of proof you might be able to muster or number of facts on your side, if come from a perceived leftist position, you are inherently wrong? It’s true! Just ask Mouthpiece!
Wait, wait, wait, I thought I was a twat, wasn’t I a twat several debates ago? Can I be both? Maybe I’m a slutty ignorant twat, or an ignorant twatty slut, and retarded, let’s not forget retarded.
you could also spell ‘intelligence’ correctly.
you whorebag!!!!!!! hahahahah!
Hey, douchebag, everyone makes typos. I’m not the one going around the internet calling people retarded with posts that are full of typos. Why don’t you make sure you’re (notice the apostrophe, punctuation is our friend) not standing in a glass house before you start throwing stones. Actually thinking of a rational, well-thought out responses to any of the debates would be beyond you though, so stick with what you can find success.
You forgot the first attack on the World Trade Center…
You are basically saying that because we decide to go after the neighborhood bully and kick his behind, and then he goes and kicks someone elses behind, we are to blame for the actions of the bully! You are blaming the victim here, your ire and rage is missplaced. Is it our fault that radical muslims fight and don’t get along with anyone no matter where they live? They kill each other! They don’t want to live in peace with anyone. The US does not live in its own little planet I agree, but if we had stayed home and did nothing then that is exactly what we would be doing, living in our own little planet. We would also appear weak and frightened which is what they believe about us.
So, I will say it again, we have not had an attack on our soil since 9/11/01.
Don’t worry ema, I fully intend on responding to this! Sadly, my boss does not accept “I was commenting on punditkitchen” as an excuse for being late, so it will have to wait until later!
Okay, now I have the time, but I think everyone lost interest in this debate.
You’re right ema, I did forget the first attack on the World Trade Center, not in my list (because that was just post 9/11) but in my generalization of the amount of terrorist attacks between Pearl Harbor and 9/11, and for that I apologize, I concede that point to you. I’ll point out though, that if we are thinking about terrorists, not just radical Islamic terrorists we should also mention the Oklahoma City bombing done by our very own homegrown terrorists, to say nothing of the Unabomber, whoever it was who sent anthrax through the mail (and that was after 9/11), and several others. That’s the problem when you declare a War on Terror. It’s such an abstract concept and there are terrorist of every race, creed, and religious belief. If we are going to be declaring this War on Terror we have a lot more countries that we need to send troops to, but it’s just not feasible, we’re spread too thin as it is. Also, you can’t just say that these are just examples of muslims killing each other and that it makes no difference to us. These attacks are done by the very same terrorist groups that we are supposedly fighting to make America safer and we obviously haven’t gained much ground. Lastly, prior to the war in Iraq there was no link between Sadaam Hussain and Al-Queda. If Al-Queda is in Iraq now it is because WE are. It just makes sense if they want to attack us to go there. Saying that fighting the war in Iraq is keeping us from getting attacked here in the U.S. is like saying putting on your seatbelt keeps you from getting into a car crash. I can make it from here to the store without getting in a wreck, but that’s not the reason. We are citizens of the U.S. first, and don’t get me wrong, I am very proud to be one, but we are also citizens of the world and as such have a responsibility to at least view ourselves as one part of the whole. The world is NOT safer and we as a country need to think about how we contributed in making it that way.
Right, aren’t you glad this isn’t happening here? A lot of these are because there are muslim extremists fighting with local populations because they just can’t get along. Take a look at all the wars going on in the world right now, show me one that does not involve radical muslim extremists.
US foreign policy may suck on occassion but we never deserved these attacks and neither did the innocent civilians who died in them. If you don’t deal strongly and quickly with these kinds of attacks then they continue and get greater and stronger.
actually, you should ask yourself how the September 11th attacks happened in the first place…..
We did not deserve those attacks.
not saying we did… I’m asking you to look at what our government officials were told and what they did to try to prevent it…
Where would someone look at something like that?

Wow, Obama manages to be both a Muslim AND a member of a radical black Christian church. The man’s talents no know bounds.
Oh, I almost forgot – as well as being a radical zealot of both those faiths, he’s also a wishy-washy Godless liberal. Even more impressive!
That, and when he assumes power, he will immediately enact Sharia law AND force everyone to have gay marriages and abortions… all without having to deal with THE OTHER TWO BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT!!!!!
so true. he is SUCH a liar.
