Now, I assume that the caption of the picture refers to the horse leaning in on camera and saying “Hi Mom!” However, it’s even funnier if you imagine the man has a really ugly mother and he’s saying “Hi Mom!” to the horse.
Holy overreact much? I just thought, upon seeing it, it was a comment on the ham of a horse taking up the pic.
Or maybe I just didn’t spend the time overanalyzing the pic and text to death..?

This may be shocking to you, but horses bridle’s aren’t attatched to thier heads! That means they can have several different bridles!!! OMG THE AMAZEMENT!!!!

That’s a flash band. Racing horses don’t use them. Jumpers do.
FYI, it’s a grackle (figure-eight) noseband, not a flash. Used to keep the horse from crossing his jaw.

Yikes! Hostility much? Haha yes I realize that one horse may have multiple bridles, however a lot of the time in racing owners will coordinate the tack with the jockey’s colors or something like that (like the tragic bright green one someone had in the derby or the preakness). If I had to guess, because on second look it doesn’t appear that that is a flat racing bridle, you’re right, and if that really is an Irish racing guy in the picture, it’s probably a point to point horse (read as: steeplechasing) and they do sometimes use hunter type bridles.
A propos nothing: Jockeys don’t have jerseys. They’re called silks.

its not like horses don’t like to run…. i had a TB and he loved to race…. he tried to race EVERYTHING….*twitch*… train a horse right and they will do anything for the love of it. just like a dog will.
