An educated generation ftw!
She rocks. And that is an awesome slogan. I wish Id written that on my banners in 2002/3.
expression on her face = priceless
you people need to read into why the war is happening, if youd read more you wouldnt be so idiotic about it.
Well, thank you for that sage advice harry pootr. You’ve really taught me a thing or two.
ROTFLMAO!
I actually L’dOL
I think it happened because of this:

LOL!
Oh, do you mean so that defense contractors can rake in all kinds of profits from the taxes we’re paying (oops, I mean the loans that China is sending over here that will need to be paid back by your children and grandchildren)? And so that Bush’s oil buddies can rake in record profits while the rest of us get hosed? Yeah, that sounds pretty idiotic to me…
Oops, that was supposed to be a reply to harry pootr.
Glad to hear that high taxes concern you. Please remember that when you vote in November.
Hmm… would that be the party that produced a record budget deficit beeing handed over a record surplus, or the party that produced that surplus in the first place?
Both parties have been on a spending bender. The Rs should be ashamed of themselves for acting like Ds, and the Ds seem to think they should criticize the Rs for acting like them. It’s time for the Republicrats to recognize that they are spending OUR money.
And they laugh up their sleeves as we all play Party games outside the Beltway…
You may want to refer to these graphs of the deficit and debt before you talk about Ds spending all kinds of money. It seems to be the other way around, actually.

Uh-huh. And the Executive branch has all that power to create the pork…excuse me, ‘earmarks’.
I’ve said elsewhere, this president is as much a conservative than I am a Rhodes scholar. If you look at the basic ideologies of the conservatives vs. the progressives, true conservatavism is about fiscal restraint and limiting the size of government. When the conservatives have controlled the purse strings (see Newt Gingrich, Contract with America), we have excelled in terms of fiscal restraint.
The problem with the current Rs in Washington is that they came to clear house, but then decided they were comfy with the way things were. They deserve to be tossed out.

Oh, of course! W can’t be a TRUE conservative, because he’s a total failure! Never mind that 4 years ago, all you R’s were bowing down to him as the next coming of Saint Reagan!
No true conservative, indeed.

Holy crap! You think that George knows that debt is actually a BAD thing?
The funny thing matchew is that mentality is essentially dead (or dying). I know some conservatives will scream that the reason republicans are being crushed in elections across the country is that they are not acting like real republicans. Unfotunately (for them) that is not the reason. The simple truth is the free market is not a god and tax cuts are not solutions. Until they can come up with solutions that help the working class majority they are going to wander around D.C. with glazed eyes wondering why nobody will vote for them. The liberals are evil playbook does not work, please, keep using it.
Tax cuts are not solutions? Why have tax revenues risen after each of the major tax cuts in modern history? Every major tax increase has resulted in lower revenues. I’m not a PHd in economics, but I have a brother who is. He backs this 100%, as do his cohorts at a decidedly liberal university.
He votes Libertarian, by the way, which is where I’m headed.
I don’t believe the free market is god – but I believe that, as a whole, free enterprise has yielded better results than any example of state control or ownership. Outside of constitutionally mandated items (like defense and interstate commerce), what has the government ever done efficiently, let alone well?
My dying mentality – I share that with people who have been conservative for their entire adult lives. How many conservatives do you actually know to be able to make summary statements about that viewpoint?
I agree. We should all remember. And we should all remember that Senator McCain will continue to spend $100 billion per year of our tax money in a war that makes us *less* safe, at the enrichment of his campaign contributors.
I’d rather spend the money on domestic projects, thanks.
The Messiah has been a little quieter on that rhetoric lately, I’ve noticed…pretty much ever since his own foreign policy wonk wrote a paper saying a precipitous withdrawal would be a disaster.
I’m still trying to understand the “less safe” argument. Al Katie was launching progressively bolder and deadlier attacks every three or four years, more and more against civilian targets. Now they are trading shots with the professionals.
I don’t know – “Sarge” in Iraq or “Barney” down at the mall…I think “Sarge” is a better bet for all of us.
One to two combat brigades a month “precipitous”.

The whole “get them there so they can’t get us here” thing is ludicrous. Why can’t they get us both places if they really want to? The fact is, they don’t. I for one am not scared of Al Qaida shooting me at the local mall. Are you?
Their primary recruiting demographic, the angry young man on the Arab street, is apparently content to run across a few borders to be killed in Iraq. Cold they come here? Yes. But there is a point of least resistance in terms of where they can go to martyr themselves.
No, I’m not scared of Al Mater at the mall; I know most of their rabid followers are in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Calling an oppoising viewpoint ‘ludicrous’ doesn’t settle a question; it just makes you sound immature.

Nope, this was about a bipartisan GI Bill sponsored by Webb and co-sponsored by a broad coalition of Democrats and Republicans in congress. McCain couldn’t be bothered to show up, because he didn’t want to be seen voting against the troops in an election year.

Ah, the Huffington post – such a fine example of journalistic excellence without a hint of bias.

MATURITY FAIL (on my part too, but couldn’t help savoring another time Matchew made his argument even weaker)
I love the expression on her face.
I think Grandma’s got a great expression on her face.
I keep hoping for the day when compassion and peace are more vote-worthy than money. Until then, I’ll keep voting against the Republicans.
Then there’s Ron Paul. He’s actually still in the race. Lame stream media has done a black out on him.
How come youtube seems to have deserted him too? I thought he dropped out? Oh no..youtube is my main source of American news!
I’ve seen about 3 cars today with RON PAUL REVOLUTION painted all over them drive by. So I guessed he was still in the race XP
Yay for this!!! I’d like to add to it education – I don’t know how anyone plans on having a peaceful future when all the young are hell bent on revenge, ill equipped and uneducated, or dead. Perhaps a peaceful future isn’t planned for though; it’s not a very profitable prospect.
We should pay heed to our elders. They’ve been there, done that a few times already.
Gah, I know this is off the subject, but this is the first LOL I’ve made that’s ever gotten this popular.. if you can call this popular. I do. Whatever!! I’m glad!! … *hides*
lol… I’ve been showing everyone my one little lol from a few days back. Nicely done, Maya!
Why thank you! XP
win picture is full of win
What’s with all this D and R stuff? Really people, instead of just picking a group to agree with, try thinking for yourself.
