LOL!! Excellent.
Amen to that!
Everytime I see coverage of the internecine Democrat war, I smile.
….for verily, I shall haveth mine ass handeth to me, and take comfort in this certainty
As of this posting, both Obama and Clinton are polling better than McCain.
testify
I <3 McCain
“Alex”
As of this posting McCain is solidly beating Obama in the Electoral College map in state by state polls, though losing to Hillary Clinton. Google “electoral college polls” you’ll get your choice of sites that update daily.
As the “author” of this lol it is meant to be funny –not some sort of substitute for the election.
I’m sorry, no humor is permitted here. Everything must be serious discourse about substantive issues…
whew, I crack myself up.
stop that… *snerk* no, really…
wow… someone reads 2 out of 30 sites that I saw that had McCain beating Obama. And not “solidly.” If you’re going to try to confirm a joke with facts, try not making the “facts” a joke.
Hmm…Leah…it just not worth arguing this point too much (and everything changes as new polls are factored in) but which sites can you possibly be looking at?
Of the major polling firms Rasmussen had Obama up as of today, but the very useful site http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Obama/Maps/May19.html
lists EVERY major state by state poll and Obama is losing solidly.
But don’t let me break you out of your happy euphoria…McCain IS losing…go back to your day dreaming about an Obama Presidency…
Congrats… That was one of the 2 out of 30 I found that supports your argument. Sadly, you are right that if you choose a selection of random polls from recent to 4 or more years ago, many of which are Bush v Kerry as opposed to Obama v McCain, you can make it appear that Obama will lose to McCain. However, because many of these states do not have a remotely recent McCain Obama poll and chooses to give states to candidates based on two the results of polls for two completely different candidates from 4 years ago (before the big turnover in congress mind you), I do not see this in any way as proof. Check the sources you post, if not many sources to get a full picture, before trying to make me look ill informed. I agree that state by state polls are sparse, but the answer is not to decide that the election will go the same way as it did in 2004 even though the candidates in this election are very different candidates. Nationally, Obama is polling between 1-10 points ahead of McCain in almost every poll (http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08gen.htm for a compilation of many polls that are recent and based of of the actual candidates, if you do a metanalysis it ends up being about 5 points with a very good MOE), so you can’t assume that states will go to McCain just because they went to Bush over Kerry (sometimes by quite slim margins).
And now, once there are some more recent state polls added, even your website says Obama wins over McCain. I guess the national trends did somewhat apply and state polls from February did not mean that McCain is “solidly” beating Obama. Oh well, I guess reading more than one website comes in handy.
polls are for dancers. lets keep it that way shall we? =D
That caption does not not seem to ring true…
The caption is a complete lie.
But I like the source of the caption “R-otlf”, which translates to “Rolling on the laughing floor.” Simply put, FAIL.
CARGEN: Ok, and reality is for sane people. McCain is a doddering old man, and should not be president. Ever.
